This is an adorable indoor/outdoor spot in a mostly residential area that is clearly a local fav We brought in our own wine for a modest corkage fee and were able to be seated in the window immediately. A line formed shortly thereafter… The covered porch or patio is the place to be in good weather. The menu is compact while offering a range from pizza and subs to some traditional Italian specialties and pastas as entrees. The veal special with mushrooms in a light cream sauce was actually special — and it could have served two(see pic). My wife’s pasta was delicious, rich and hardy. Service was slowwww. I think this is more a capacity issue, as we were there in the beginning of the season — and it was packed to boot. The small space is limited so don’t expect a fancy 5-course meal. Stick to the basics and you will be satisfied. Can see this as a go-to spot for locals or those summering in the area. Would be for us!

Let me begin by saying I love to cook. We were planning a party for my husbands birthday and my daughter convinced me to have Pomodoro cater it. It is the best decision I ever made! I was able to relax and my guests were treated to some of the best Italian food to ever be on a buffet! They do not skimp on quality and everything was delicious. This party was attended by a majority of people of Italian descent and everyone was raving about the food. The price was very reasonable and I could not have been happier!

The name is misleading. This place is a great Italian restaurant. I don’t eat Italian out because I was raise on Italian food and why go out when you can make it better at home? Pomodoro made me feel like I was going to my grandmother’s house for Sunday dinner. We went on a Saturday night and arrived at around 5:15. There was a 30 minute wait. It was pretty cold out but the owner fired up the outside heaters and we had wine outside while listening to Sinatra. We met a woman waiting for takeout who was a regular and raved about the food. We waited for about 25 minutes and then we were seated. We had the garlic bread with gravy, which was delicious! Not to mention under $ 3. I had Penne with Pink Vodka sauce and meatballs on the side and my wife had the veal stuffed with prosciutto and ricotta. The servings were large and both tasted like everything was made from scratch. Our waitress was attentive and the prices were also very reasonable. I would recommend going early to avoid the wait or bring a large bottle of wine!

First visit as new Bristol residents. No reservations so decided if go later in evening on Saturday night we would have better chance of getting a table for three. We were treated poorly and rejected and embarrassed as we saw an empty table around 8:45. «Restaurant has a 10 close on their website. Confused. «We close at nine and there are four parties ahead of you.» Place is small and one couple at bar. You need to be a familiar face at Pommodoro. We dine out a lot and guess our business isn’t needed. Oh well. Appears that restaurant is so blessed with diners and doesn’t need to build new loyal customers. So disappointed. Go where we are appreciated like Simone’s in Warren.

Called to place an order for delivery at 1:00 pm. First attempt, the phone rang and rang until a message came on asking for an «access code». Immediately called back and after several rings, someone who was clearly annoyed answered. I asked to place an order for delivery but was told they don’t have delivery until 4:30. No where on the menu does it state that. I was excited to try something new but first impressions are everything and there is plenty of competition. You failed Pomodoro.

You will notice from my review history here that Pomodoro and I have had a rocky relationship, but I am happy to announce that in my opinion it is back on stride. My wife and I recently visited and ate at Pomodoro, we have been patrons for, well, since they opened I think over a year ago? Maybe 2? Who’s counting?(I am!) Well, either way this is the first time we have gone to sit and eat, this is mostly due to the fact that it always seems packed and with the upcoming winter it will only be harder. But, I don’t think they need to expand yet, give it another year of strong service and food. We ate outside, it was a warmish fall day(but the evening was cooling off), they had a plethora of outdoor heating devices which kept me and my wife very warm. This place on a warm autumn night has to be the most romantic yet down to earth location for a date night. It’s small, cozy(loudish if you are inside), but in all senses it is wonderful. I ordered a special, while my wife ordered gnocchi with pomodoro. The special was a breaded veal stuffed with prosciutto and mozzarella(or maybe provolone) with a creamy marsala sauce. Overall it was a good dish(which I could not finish and brought home, had for lunch and dinner the next day) my only concern was that the marsala sauce was too sweet while the prosciutto was too salty, but when combined it was fairly amazing. So, as a tip eat it all together. I love Pomodoro’s breading(like I think there chicken parm is one of my favorite meals). It came with broc and mashed potes, which were both rather good(yeh and its and Italian place). The pomodoro on the gnocchi is fantastic. Their red sauce is literally out of this world. I could eat it like soup(That’s another reason why I love the chicken parm so much). Pomodoro is BYOB with a corking fee or glassing fee for beer. Personally I love BYOB, because I am the type who has a hard time picking wine from a list. And for me, my wine is a big part of my meal, so I like a knowledgeable waiter or a wine I know and like. Either way I brought a Cab Sauv from the Patagonia region of Argentina, which has become one of my favorites and Argentina has become one of my favorite wine countries(Esp for red). In every way Pomodoro is back and I am truly happy.

The food is just absolutely spectacular! It is 5-Star Italian cuisine. These dishes are family recipes that are very old. They do it extremely well and are consistent in their quality. The ingredients are fresh and local. I think the pizza is so good — I love the meatball and onion. Also the calzones are to die for. The bread, dough and crust are absolutely perfect. The crusts are pillow like and crunchy. Their sauces and pasta are perfect! I usually go for the vodka penne with broccoli rabe. I have literally had most everything on the menu and have been there countless times. Take my word for it and go! Things I don’t love… You will wait a considerable amount of time for takeout — this is because the food is scratch made and made to order. Also the restaurant itself is VERY small. This is part of its charm but you can’t go with a large party. There is outdoor seating when the weather is nice and the staff are very pleasant and take the time to get to know you and genuinely want you to have a great experience. GO!

We found this place by accident when driving around a detour. Looked cute. That evening we learned of someone who had them cater a wedding rehearsal house party. Vowed to check it out. Tiny, neighborhood place with as many outside seats as inside. Good crowd. Can’t imagine what it will be like in winter. Not really knowing the name we were surprised to find mostly pizza, calzones and sandwiches on the menu and that it was BYO. However, with a liquor store a block away and both chicken Parmesan and Lasagna on the menu we were happy. Both were excellent and both too large to finish so we have a meal for tomorrow too. The red gravy/sauce was very sweet with small pieces of tomato in it. Hard to find sauce so sweet. Wait staff fast, friendly, solicitous. Many pizzas/sandwiches under 10.00. Our meals were about 12.00. Incredibly fair prices for the quality and size. We’re finding a lot of great restaurants in Bristol/Warren and this is one of them. Will have to try the pizza next time. Advise going early or late because the place is tiny and crowded. Only drawback is the generic restroom in the middle of the dining room with chairs so close other patrons have to move to let you in or out. Not for the self conscious.

This is a little hidden gem in Bristol! I’ve ordered twice and haven’t been disappointed. The food is fresh and authentic Italian. It’s very small for seating but if you don’t want to wait, you can call in your order and be prepared you may have a five minute wait on hold because of the volume of business. Be patient! It’s worth the wait! I have had the chicken Milanese and it was amazing! The menu offers so many awesome dishes plus there are always evening specials. There closed on Sunday’s which after there busy Saturday nights doesn’t surprise me! There’s usually a line on the side walk either waiting to hopefully get a table or for puck –up. It’s a definite try, you won’t be disappointed. The outside patio seating is quaint but don’t expect to have a romantic dinner. It’s a place for great food and get to know your neighbor sitting next to you. :)

Great little restaurant, everything is very fresh and well seasoned. Very good food. The pizza has a crispy not heavy crust. They make an excellent sauce. Not having Sunday hours is a disappointment.

Busy little place frequented by the locals. This is my first time here with my kids. The menu selection is decent with mostly with pizzas and sandwiches, as it is a pizzeria, but has a decent choice of Italian themed appetizers. The décor is simple but cute and casual. The food is prepared simply but good tasting.

I very much enjoyed this establishment when it first opened. I enjoyed it so much that I would occasionally catch myself daydreaming about getting a quick delivery while at work or a pick up on the way home. My husband and I would order a pizza for lazy stay at home movie night at least once a week. Our favorite pizza was the buffalo chicken and no matter how awful the movie was, the pizza was always a home run. That is until recently. Over the last few months the quality of the food has fallen short to say the least. We kept giving it one more chance because of all the fond times we shared together. This will be our last time ordering from Pomodoro’s. I need to tell you that now that we are breaking up Pompodor’s. It was delicious while it lasted. Good luck in the future, but I am on to better and tastier buffalo pizza!

The food is nothing short of amazing. My girlfriend and I have now been here a few times and we are never disappointed. The wait staff is very courteous and timely as well. It can get a bit tight inside but has a nice homestyle feel to it. In the midst of our dinner last week, we offered to move to an open two seat table to accommodate a foursome coming in and the waitresses were very thankful. We understood they needed to maximize space to earn their tips so we were willing to help out. They were even thoughtful enough to give us some free cannolis to finish off the night. The flavors are fresh and enticing, and the $ 5 corking fee to bring your own bottle of wine can’t be beat. We will be coming here for years to come.

Wow! Ordered the special; clams, mussels and shrimp in red sauce over penne. It was so good after eating my meal I ordered the Italian feast to take home to my 92 year old Mother(the true test). While eating some(the portion was huge) she pinched her cheek, winked her eye and said, «Buona.» This place is «the real deal.» Get over there and get some authentic, fresh, and well prepared Italian food now.

I just finished my second slice of cheese pizza with pineapple. This is me and my husband’s usual combination because we are vegetarian and skip on the ham part of the Hawaiian pizza. Because I’ve had this combination from so many different places(even from different countries), I can accurately conclude that this pizza was just NOT good. It was incredibly greasy, had thick crunchy dough that tasted overcooked, and the flavor was nothing spectacular either. The only reason I had a second slice is because I was so hungry. But I feel a stomachache coming on from all that grease, and it wasn’t even worth it. Ever since I moved from Providence I have had such trouble finding yummy pizza. I already miss Fellini’s more than you could possibly know. I ordered delivery, and although it came hot, it took a full hour for it to get here. Being that I live just .25 miles away, I found this a little ridiculous. The guy who brought it had vulgar music blasting from his car, and I was a little embarrassed that my ordering food had ultimately disturbed other tenants in my building. If I could hear the music blasting, so could everyone else. The guy didn’t even say anything to me; he just pushed the receipt in my face, obviously wanting me to sign. Needless to say, he didn’t get the tip I had waiting in my pocket for him.

Stopped in here a few weeks ago to order 16 pizzas to bring to a dinner for our softball team which was playing over at Colt Park. I got there around 2pm to place the order and let them know that I needed the pizzas by 6’ish. I got there at 6 and all of the pizzas were ready… I didn’t expect that. They then proceeded to put all of the pizzas in my car for me… I didn’t expect that either. The pizza was very good… the banana pepper and roni was the overall favorite… but the other pizzas were very good as well. My personal favorite was the sausage, pepper & onion. I would go here again in a minute… the staff was wonderful and handled a large, pretty much last minute order wonderfully.

I was driving home late from a pretty wacky day at work and, as the adrenaline left my system, I realized between serial yawns that there was no way I was going to operate a stove or handle a sharp knife(aka COOK). Enter: Pomodoro! Take out is a rarity for me, but I thought I would give Pomodoro a try. I called in a pizza bianco, ready in about 20 minutes, and grabbed a San Pelle Chinotto. The pizza was PERFECT. Crust was chewy, airy, crispy, and moist. It’s my fave style of pizza crust. The combination of cheeses was like toe curlingly good. So good I didn’t even care about the imminent cardiovascular disease I am heading for eating an entire small cheese pizza by myself. And can we talk about the Chinotto? Hi! So happy they carry it! I was kinda dreading making a selection from the drink cooler as I feared the typical unimaginative selection of coke or pepsi products in every pizza place. Pomodoro is too cool for that though. They have a selection of Yacht Club colas, San Pelle, and some other fun things to try! I will definitely be heading back to that SWEET patio to enjoy some more Italian gastro goodness.

If I judged Pomodoro on the pizza alone, it’d be bad. But I’m smart enough to know that sometimes a restaurant deserves a little love for the effort they put forth… even if the effort falls a little short. Sure the pizza crust isn’t great and heirs on the slightly cardboard-y side but their sauce is tasty and they get props for using fresh mozzarella and being generous with the fresh basil. The décor is cute and the service is friendly. Prices are good and it’s BYOB so that always gets an extra star. If you’re in the area and need a pizza pie last minute, hit the packy for some beer and head over Pomodoro. But I probably wouldn’t recommend making a special trip otherwise.

I had a hankering for some good italian, so my girlfriend and I thought that we would give this cute little place a try. First off, the place is tiny. It probably only sits about 22 at it’s total max with about 6 tables and some bar seating. If you plan to come during a busy time, I would suggest making a reservation if you want to eat-in. As luck would have it, we got an open two-seater by the door immediately. However, this posed some problems as there was a cold draft when anyone would come in, which was somewhat displaced by a well placed space heater. They might want to think about investing in a small winter vestibule. However, with the business this place did last night, an expansion is perhaps not long in their future. At any rate, it wasn’t a big deal and the food more than made up for it. I’m looking forward to coming back in the spring or summer months and sitting in their outdoor space, which looks charming. The food was fantastic! Classic Italian done very very well. The chef even came out a few times throughout the evening and asked how we were — that was really nice to see. We started with the fried calamari which was delicious — one of the best I’ve ever had. Not overly greasy, no marinara on the side was needed. This was served with a pickled yellow pepper of some kind which added a really nice flavor along with a vinaigrette. Bright flavors, beautifully presented, and delicious. Next, we had a pizza special called the Nonnie — — Ricotta, Mozzarella, Roasted Red Peppers, and Eggplant.(It also came with meatball, but we asked that it not be included). Overall, the pizza was delicious. Came out of their oven piping hot, nice balance of flavors. The sauce tasted very very fresh. The crust was medium and well cooked — seemed at times to be a little generic, but it stood up well with the toppings. I don’t think a thinner crust would have held up. It had a nice crunch on the crusty bits. Overall, very well done. I haven’t had much pizza in Bristol yet, but it’s the best so far. @ $ 20 for the pie, it seemed very reasonable. One last bit of awesomeness — the restaurant is BYOB, I saw many people enjoying a bottle of wine that they had brought in. All in all, this was an incredibly great experience and I’m looking forward to trying it again.

I had been passing by Pomodoro for months, thinking, «I’ve really got to try this new place.» Regrettably I missed out on months of good pizza, damn! Finally one day I decided to give it a shot. I was at my apartment and hadn’t seen the menu before, so I spent a few minutes searching the web for a website or menu… Unsuccessful. I did, however, find many great reviews. Hopeful, I called over to the restaurant and was greeted by a cheerful, enthusiast voice. The woman on the other end was very informative and patient as I made my menu inquiries. I think a fair way to judge a restaurant’s pizza is to go for a margherita or a plain cheese pie — levels out the playing field. She recommended the«pomodoro» pizza — San Marzano tomatoes, fresh mozz, basil and evoo. When I went to pick up my food, the staff were attentive and friendly. The pizza was coming out of the oven just as I arrived and I had that delicious smelling box in my finger tips in no time. Once home, I popped that sucker open. Impressions — medium thickness crust, nice and golden, generous amount of sauce, good proportion of cheese and basil. Well… Maybe could have used a touch more basil, but I’m a fiend. First bites, heavenly but a tad messy! All that tasty sauce sort of oozed off the crust. As I continued to eat and the pizza cooled, it got better. It melded together and was even more delightful. I will definitely return!
