Sweet Minihaha Campground

We had the worst experience at this campground and management didn’t care at all. We will not go back. Trash cans were overfilled, portable toliets were not cleaned until the end of the weekend and the sites are not set up for campers.

My husband and I stayed here along with two other couples (we’re all in our mid-30’s). We were wait-​listed for a site and during the week, it’d opened up so they called us! When your summers are so packed, their wonderful customer and follow through is much appreciated. The six of us only rented one electric site (#65), we felt the price was fair. I did not realize that there was no privacy, however, we got lucky cause we had fun and engaging neighbors on either side. I do have a hammock, so this site is perfect to hang one on. We’re close to the river, so you can go hang out there. It’s a great spot to go star gazing at night. It’s absolutely unreal how beautiful the stars are. There are portable bathrooms, they seemed as «clean» as they could be. Always had TP, so that’s good. No hand sanitizer though, so I recommend you bring your own or some baby wipes. There is a water faucet right outside, so that’s handy. The «pits» are relatively small, but they do serve their purpose. Should you order fire wood, it’s very nice that they drive it straight to your site. Yes, this is a private campground, therefore people do bring their own alcohol. We had a good time, but did not get shushed, so I appreciate that. And no one stayed up later than we did, so we had no trouble falling asleep! However, you can certainly hear your neighbors snoring, as I’d mentioned, since there’s no privacy or barriers of any kind. The main restroom by the office has 3 bathroom stalls and 3 showers. No complaints here, it was relatively clean and well lit.
We did go river tubing (my 1^st time) and the driver was very helpful, telling us what parts to just get out of our tubes and walk since the water was very low. The line to go tubing though was quite long and slow moving. It took us 1.5 hours to get onto a shuttle to go to S&B, the dock where you walk into the river. The river ride was a total of 3.5−4 hours. Don’t forget to apply sunscreen, obviously. But should you jump in the water at any point, bring some to reapply. One of the major reasons we chose to camp here is that they allowed my 17 lb dog to come with us in a cooler tube. He absolutely hated the water and eventually accepted his fate of being in his own tube, rather than Mommy’s lap. IMPORTANT NOTE: the cooler tubes can hold a standard 48 qt cooler. I thought it could only hold the little personal coolers, so our group could have prob only used one, but that’s alright. Do take the extra strings the driver suggests as well as the mesh trash (onion) bag for your beer cans (keep the river clean please)! If you do get caught on a rock, just get up and take 2 – 3 steps and sit back down. Not worth paying for a torn tube plus you won’t have a ride back to the end of the river! This was a very relaxing and enjoyable experience, I highly recommend it! BTW, very few people wear the life jackets. I’d brought our own thinking we’d need them, so just an FYI.
They do have activities scheduled, ie, volleyball or karaōke. There are some swing sets available for children. However, I feel like this campground is better suited for tweens — adults. Bring a football, or a beer pong table, or Catch Phrase, maybe even a telescope to entertain yourselves.
At the end of your stay, please put all your trash in bags. There wasn’t really a disposal area, so they told us to leave it by the roadside and they sweep through for clean up. Obviously, respect our beautiful planet and leave it cleaner than before you arrived for the next person to enjoy. Overall, a wonderful relaxing stay. Will definitely visit again.

We stayed here for 4 days 3 nights, we had 6 of us including myself. 3 tents. 3 cars. Our camp site was just right! We couldn’t have reserved a better spot. It was clean and well kept. We arrived at 10am, and was able to go right to our campsite and start setting up. They deliver firewood to your site, its $ 10 a wheel barrel, we ordered 2 and it lasted about 2 days, so we ordered another and it lasted till we left. They offer a river rafting trip which is about 5hrs long, weekdays its $ 8.00 and $ 5.00 for a cooler raft. Idk what weekends are as we were there on a weekday. I highly recommend that rafting trip, its long, so bring ur beers, water, and food. You will need it. No glasses allowed on the river, so bring cans. They do have a beach so you can go swimming in the river from the campsite. I talked to a few rafters and they came from crazyhorse and hated it, so do not stay there. I am so glad i found this place, i can not wait to go back!

This is a pretty campground. The bathrooms are mostly clean, and there are some good sites to stay in tent or camper. Be warned, this is a total party campground. The staff is all young people and the crowd that camp there are here to party. It’s crucially important to book your reservation early to get a good campsite, never seen a campground with so many lousy places to set up a tent. Luckily, we booked months ahead and got an absolutely gorgeous campsite right on the river. It was one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever camped, but that was only because we planned ahead.
If you are considering staying here, it’s likely because of the river innertube adventure they offer. It was about $ 12 per person and one of the most fun times I’ve had in a really long time! Again, this is a party Campground, and everyone floating down the river was very intoxicated and obnoxious, but that’s part of the experience!
Bottom line, if you don’t mind your fellow neighbors being intoxicated all day and loud until 1 AM, then this is a wonderful campground. If you are looking for a more family friendly environment, consider elsewhere.

I went here for an awesome tubing excursion this summer. I love that they allow you to bring alcohol… there is no sneaking it in here… you just have to make sure to keep it in plastic bottles for safety reasons. Everyone here was super friendly. The only downfall was that it has been a dry summer and the water was low. They forewarned us that it would take longer. The tubing usually takes about 2 hours, but it took us 6! We got stuck a couple of times when our bottoms hit ground, but it was a great time. We met a lot of interesting people… including a group of topless girls that made sure everyone noticed they had «lost» their bikini tops… classy…
When you first arrive you pay for a wrist band and then they load you on a bus that drives you to to the «top» of the river at another camp site. This camp site also does tubing, but picks their campers up after tubing… so the exact opposite. The tubes were nice and brand new… we all had a great time and got a ton of color that day!
