The ice cream is great of course. The service is horrible! I have no problem paying extra for the toppings I request. I ask for toppings on the top and bottom of my cup & I usually have to beg & purchase a to go cup because how slim they give. They talk with attitude and move slowly. I would think a ice cream place made people happy & it really makes people miserable.

I usually don’t write reviews on ice cream shops but I had to after this experience. Stopped here on the way home from work one day. Looks old and beat-down from the outside but thought hey, why not. I was craving some ice cream. Got to the window & the girl who was working that day had an attitude from the start. Ordered a vanilla in a cup and words can’t describe my experience. The ice cream tasted SOUR! Like expired milk! Never in my life have i tasted sour ice cream. It was gross. Went back to the counter & the manager did not even want to be bothered. Never going back again.

One of Carvel’s most oldest locations, this location was built sometime during the later 1950’s when the concept of drive-thru were first implemented. A long lasting legacy in the Northeast Bronx, the place still popular today, so much, local New York cable news channel did a feature story on it( ). From sundaes to cakes, you can find all treats that the chain is well known for in here. If you’re in the area and like to check out a part of the Bronx’s nostalgic landmarks, please do check this location out. Highly recommended!
