This is very amazing ice cream shop. It also has a Twin Donut shop integrated right into carvel. How cool is that. Anyways the workers are very caring and respectful. The only bad thing that I have to say about there place is that there is very little light in the Twin Donut section and there needs to be more workers working there, at least 2. I have never seen them be out of stock of any ice cream when there are many customers. I recommend this place to everyone.

I had been to this place a few times over the years. I always thought this sad excuse for a Carvel/Twin Donut looked like a horrible operation when I walk by everyday. Looked more like a hangout for the workers and their friends than it did and ice cream shop.
So I was happy to see that it was closed the other day and had a sign that it was closed for «remodeling.» «Good» I thought. Maybe they can finally make it look respectable. But low and behold and I guess not to my surprise, the REAL REASON for the closure is that it has been shut down by the NYC Health Dept. after receiving 82 violations points.
