Crosby Nails

I was recommended by a family member to try out Crosby Nails. When I arrived, I waited for a very long time and people coming in who were I would assume regulars were taken first before me. After 45 mins of waiting and feeling unwanted, I felt super uncomfortable but I sat in the chair anyway. I was watching tv and the entire time I felt like someone was staring at me. When I looked around the room, two of the women would constantly look at me! It made me feel so uncomfortable and I didn’t know why I was the only one being starred at. I tried so hard to focus on something else but every time I would look up, both or one of them would be looking. When I finally got to the drying station, everyone was offered a back massage and I wasn’t. I started to think maybe they didn’t like me or if I did something wrong but I couldn’t figure out what since I had been quiet and respectful the entire time. I would have tipped so well for a back massage since I love getting them. But I’m glad I didn’t at the end because I couldn’t wait to get out of there! Never would I go back. My nails looked okay but I think first and foremost you must feel comfortable where you go to relax and be pampered!

I made an appointment for a manicure and pedicure. When I arrived all nail technicians were with clients. I waited 30 minutes and then was given a seat for my pedicure where I waited another 10 minutes. They then rushed through my pedicure (I didn’t get the hot stone massage that is included in the price) and then was charged $ 25.00 for the mani/​pedi. When it is usually $ 22.00. When I asked why the price went up, the woman said something I could not fully understand. As I sat in the drying area, another client was paying for her mani/​pedi and was charged $ 22.00!?! I will not be returning.

Don’t like the gel manicures but the pedicure with the Hispanic ladies is awesome — value and friendly… plus close to home

One word covers the whole experience… TERRIBLE. Won’t go there again.

I went today for a simple pedicure and the end result sucked! They did a horrible job! There was no massage and the towels were iced cold! WILL NOT GO BACK!

I went to Crosby Nails on a very busy Friday afternoon. The owner got me in her chair right away. Which was great, because I told her I was strapped for time. But instead of doing the acrylic white tips I requested, she volunTOLD me to get a gel manicure instead. With the language barrier, I thought she was still going to pull out the acrylic and brushes, and top it off with gel. She kept saying «do you understand me?», while we were discussing services and prices. That was a little condescending. And she ended up giving me a subpar manicure. A manicure. NOT the acrylic, full set with white tips I had requested. I was almost going to tell her, I hate to be rude, but this is not what I asked for. I’ll pay what I owe you, but no need to finish… but I didn’t have the balls! She kept saying, why would you want to ruin your real nails, this looks more natural. Well, it also looked very sloppy. Hence, the reason I prefer acrylic. She asked me how I liked it, all I could say was, «its different». I also got a french tip pedicure. They don’t use brushes to wipe away and shape the white nail polish along the tips of your toes?! It looked awful. And the lady sped through my pedicure, didn’t even spend ample time pushing back cuticles or scrubbing… I will not return here, ever. I am from California. So, I think I’m going to have to interview my next nail lady, to make sure they even embrace acrylics.

I was very surprised by how much I enjoyed my mani/​pedi. The fresh cucumber they used on my legs was such a welcome after a beach day. The staff is friendly and extremely likeable, they are very fast, but also very careful in their work, which is a sign of skill. The review below caught me by surprise. Next time love, ask for Rosie, she’s amazing. I go there every 2 weeks. My pedicures always last for week/​half-​two weeks and my manis last about a week.

Rush to finish and way to fast. I will not return there.
