Quick, cheap, easy, hits the spot perfectly. I love the options. I had rice and peas, mixed cabbage and whiting all for under $ 10. The tropical piña colada smoothie that i thought was going to horrible, ended up being one of the best smoothies i’ve had, hands down. For a cold 19 degree sunday afternoon, this place was packed and people still were coming in the door trying to get their plates. This place also had a lot of regulars, which is always a great sign. The people cooking and serving the food are nice as well and you can tell they just want to take care of you and want you to enjoy their food. It’s always refreshing to see the people making your food. Next time I’m in bronx I will visit again and try the plantains, jerk chicken and ox tails!

Went there for lunch before the baseball today. Unfortunately, it was the only good thing about the baseball today. The jerk chicken was to-die-for and the collard greens and candied yam were delicious as well. Make sure you try the corn bread as well.

The beef and chicken patties were delicious, but the jerk chicken was AMAZING! Try it! You won’t regret it!

Great place to relax away from the crowds of 161st Street. There are 3 tables in the restaurant where you can enjoy the spicy jerk chicken, many sides, and a patty or two. The cashier recommended their chicken patties and I sure wasn’t disappointed. :) Great food, friendly service, and definitely worth a visit after a Yankees game.

Me tinks meez in luvzzzzz! My review is actually for their Gerard Avenue store. The lunch specials are humungous. For $ 5.95, i got 3 pieces of jerk chicken and a sh*t load of sauteed cabbage. You also get a glass of lemonade or iced tea with your lunch special. The chicken was fall off the bone tender and had a nice kick to it. Even after eating my lips were still all tingly for a half an hour. The sauteed cabbage was really good and perfectly seasoned. Bye, bye Feeding Tree, I found a new favorite Jamaican place!
