Love this place. I have long natural nails and this is only place that i have been to where they do my nails & they still look natural, not like other places where they pile on acrylic. They have good nail polishes, the employees are nice and professional. So glad I live near.

My first time at lily’s nails and I’m satisfied, they use gel powder instead of acrylic or liquid gel, first time seeing that but it’s cool the result is the same, the people seemed to be nice, I would go back again :)

Services: $ 6 manicure, $ 20 gel manicure, $ 12 or $ 15 for pedi, I think. I normally only do gelish manicure so I cannot review them on other services. Operations: They are pretty clean and low budget. All materials are sterilized, metal tools. Walk-ins accepted, reservations accepted. Skills: I don’t know all of their names but I am a regular. There is a young lady who is in design school. A second young lady with a short bob. She is pretty technical and will ask the other girl for suggestions in design. There is a middle aged woman who is very proficient in design and an old man who is more technical than design. If I have to rank them by speed and design, the two young ladies and the older woman are really good. I think the man is capable but not strong in design. They have a fifth person for pedicures and support. Personality: They are really chill and friendly. They discuss things like pricing and tools in Chinese. I only understand basic Chinese(Mandarin) but they are pretty transparent and don’t talk about their customers in front of them in Chinese, which is why I like them. They are straightforward and honest. Tips: I normally bring a photo of the nail design I would like, and pick the colors and they will design for me. The young lady with longer hair might offer suggestions. She currently studies or studied as a design student and has the best sense for design. The short bob young lady will normally ask her or you, the customer, for suggestions.

This was the worst mani-pedi I’ve ever gotten. I arrived about an hour before closing, after calling and being told to «just come right in.» After sitting waiting for almost half an hour while they finished up their previous customers, they took me in. The pedicure was fine, but the gel manicure was a disaster. I think they were impatient to get me finished and go home — I was the last person left in the place after closing, but only because I’d had to wait so long. While the first woman finished up the pedicure, the other woman started working on my gel manicure. She was scraping and trimming my cuticles without soaking my hands first, and it hurt. She was very rough and she made my cuticles bleed in four places. Then she put on this blue antiseptic liquid that made my hand throb in a serious way. I should have stopped her right then, but I was going on a trip the next day and I wanted a gel manicure to last the entire time. I asked her to wipe off the antiseptic but this didn’t help the pain, and my hand continued to throb for the remainder of the evening(even after I left). When my pedi was finished we moved over to the manicure station. While she was applying the gel polish, she repeatedly scraped over my already-sore cuticles with her fingernail, making it hurt even more. I had to ask her to stop twice before she stopped doing it. When I asked her to stop she wasn’t at all apologetic about it, and I got the impression that she thought I was just being a wuss. In my experience, manicures aren’t supposed to hurt! When the gel manicure was all finished, she used a file on the top edges of my nails, which didn’t make sense to me. I almost never get my nails done and I’d never gotten gel polish before. It struck me that you’d want the coating of gel to wrap around the tip of your nail so it won’t peel up. Sure enough, the polish started chipping off two days later, while I was on my trip and didn’t have any nail polish remover. The gel polish actually lasted less time than regular manicures I’ve gotten in the past. My cuticles, where she’d cut them, continued to be tender for several more days. I’ll never, ever go here again, and I recommend that you don’t either. Or, if you do go, make sure you go early enough that they won’t be trying to rush your manicure so they can get home. I bought this mani-pedi as a treat for myself, and was miserable the entire time.
