Two days ago, I went there and purchased several items, one of which was a six-piece Chicken McNugget. When I walked back to my office, I discovered that there were four pieces in it. I was upset. How difficult is it to count to four. I checked my receipt and I had, indeed, paid for six. After getting off work, I walked back to the McDonald’s, which was out of my way, and presented the box they had given me, clearly labeled«4 piece,» which she quickly handed over to the(what I assumed was the) manager. He wrinkled his face while taring at the receipt. Then said, «I can give you two pieces.» I thought about all the inconvenience they caused me, due to their blatant, inattentive error, and the solution that this short-sighted manager came up with, and I told him he could keep it. It was the principle more than the two pieces. I am confident that any other manager, in any reputable McDonald’s, would, at least, have given me six McNuggets. Again, it was the principle of it, and greatly explains why McDonald’s is sinking into the toilet.
