As far as pricing goes for everyday needs, this place pretty much has it all. Most times, the staff is not helpful but the easy to read signage and fairly organized aisles allows you to roam and shop without being sent on wild goose chases by unknowing employees. From undergarments to hair supplies to automotive items, this is a one stop shop. The other patrons and the staff sometimes makes the experience an unhappy one.

You truly get what you pay for! I purchased a recliner from here that was not in stock. The salesman Bruce was very rude and nasty, but since I was only paying a little over $ 200 for an Ashley recliner, I decided to go through with the purchase despite my best judgment telling me not to do so, I should’ve went with my gut instinct. About a month later, I still had no recliner and when I tried to call to inquire about it, I kept getting the run around. Finally after speaking with Bruce and demanding to find out where my recliner was, he told me that it would take another 3 weeks for it to come in. When I reminded him that he told me the same thing 3 weeks prior, he acted like he knew nothing of what I was speaking about. I didn’t want to deal with him over the phone, so I went to the store to find out what was happening. Again, I only paid about $ 250 or so, so I was willing to wait for the recliner – but when I asked for free shipping Bruce flat out told me no, he said people cannot work for free, so I need to get over it. I told him he should eat the cost since he is a representative of NWL and Ashley Direct, he again told me no and started rambling about something or another. I told him he was quite unprofessional, from his demeanor to his appearance. He was very rude, and to be honest, if I didn’t cancel my order and get a refund, I bet I would’ve gotten my recliner in June. When I say this man was rude from beginning to end, I mean nasty and rude. If you are thinking of purchasing furniture from here, I’d think twice!

Took an 18 k gold ankle bracelet to put a new closure on. The next day when I went to pick up was given a lighter weight ankle bracelet. Jeweler had swopped my original piece of jewelry. Be aware! Be very aware!!!

I’ve been shopping NWL since they were in NYC on Broadway/Lafayette area. Always got fantastic deals in some area or another. The buyers aren’t nearly as good as they used to be & shoe prices are out of step now for being ‘Non-Leather’! Household stuff, dry foods, some furniture, rugs, tools, electronics & beauty supplies are ALWAYS good deals. I still enjoy a few hours roaming around but the Bronx store lines are always too long plus the cashiers & managers need serious Customer Service Training!

Not bad. A bit of a poor man’s Walmart but occasionally you may find something useful. Probably not a place you go to every week but every now and then it’s worth checking out.

Walking through this«store» must be what it’s like to make your way through a herd of unruly cattle. Astonishingly disorganized, this large dollar store features crap items side by side with halfway decent items, promoting a veritable«bait and switch» type of atmosphere. After finding something slightly useful to purchase, I stood waiting for what seemed like an eternity on the checkout line. The cashier was beyond rude — downright nasty, giving me just one more reason never to venture into this laughable excuse of a discount store.

Nationwide chain of stores offering liquidated and discontinued items at dirt cheap prices. From food and household cleaners to electronics, this store offers it all. It was rebuilt post 2010 after a fire ravaged the place. Compared to other stores that cater to budget crowds such as K-mart and Walmart, the prices here won’t break your wallet. Store has a great section of kitchen wares(glasses, utensils, appliances) and household cleaning supplies. Tends to be busy on weekends so be prepared to wait in line.

My wife and I are both fans of National Liquidators and they have one location located in the heart of Co-Op City in the Peartree Shopping Mall. National Liquidators, for those not familar with the name, is a discount shopping store where you can buy name brand items at low clearance prices. National Liquidators sells everything from clothes to CD’s as well as furnishings for around the home @ prices that won’t break your wallet! Not a bad place to check out in today’s economy!
