Ordered wings for delivery for the second time and they arrived relatively quickly via a friendly delivery guy. I tipped him extra for his smile…
Opened up my food and was greeted by the SMALLEST WINGS EVER (see picture). There were 4 wings out of 10 that were barely bigger than a quarter… The rest were smaller than average size. And I paid extra for all legs!
I know that with the addition of the Buffalo wild wing this location is cutting corners on their quality. They are selling tiny wings at the same price they sold regular wings to maintain their profits.
Well planet wings CORPORATE needs to pay attention: «If you rip off your customers you will QUICKLY lose this location to BWW». You should be serving value to hold on to repeat customers not skimping on wing size to save a few pennies.
I would have gladly paid a few more dollars for meatier wings. Instead your trickery lost a repeat customer…

I don’t know why I don’t learn my lesson!!! This place is disappointment after disappointment. From sad «scraps from the bottom of the bag» fries to pigeon sized wings. I’d look for another option if you’re really craving wings. If they think it’s okay to send out food like that then they might need a serious change of management or some aggressive training!

My 14 year old son had such a terrible experience eating there yesterday that he decided he wanted to write a review on the behalf of his experience with planet wings with his fellow teammates.
The wings were so bad my friend couldn’t finish his order, I ordered and paid $ 4.86 for 5 piece boneless tenders (medium flavor) which had no flavor they weren’t as bad as the wings but they weren’t that good either, I ate it because I was hungry. My mom really likes using Unilocal since she opened an account and now I understand why. I hope the establishment does something about the wings because as a young kid I rather spend money she gives me to good use. I left there regretting spending the money she gave me. The girl at the counter was nice.

This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had when it comes to wings. I ordered 25 wings, different kinds. When my order arrived, they only gave us 20. I called back and their response was, since we paid by cc, it would have to charge us twice, and then it would be reimbursed in 3 – 5 business days. OR, we can have a credit to the store, which is what I decided to do. After opening the wings, they literally looked like dry, stumpy pinkies with absolutely no meat on them. They were absolutely disgusting. There goes my credit for the store because I will never order from there again.

Its superbowl Sunday and these guys are hustling super hard to make everyone happy. Quality. flavors and down right superior staff! I’m one happy man!

Food was decent but overpriced. A normal-​sized gyro with fries and a medium coke will run you $ 10. You can probably get the same thing from any city corner food vendor for $ 6 – 7. And this is in the Bronx, where food should be a lot cheaper.
The most prominent problem with this place was the customer service. The girl behind the counter was nasty, pushy and overall unpleasant to order from.
One plus side is that they do have a TV, and comedy central was on at the time we were there.

Food is just ok. Service is horrible.
Ordered online at 6:15. Got a call at 6:35 saying they didn’t have boneless wings (it was the second call but their caller id doesn’t say Planet Wings so we didn’t pick up the first call). I told them to go ahead with the order anyway. By 8:10 the delivery still wasn’t there so we called and were told the order was on hold because they didn’t have boneless wings. The person who I had spoken to had never relayed to the kitchen to go ahead with the order. I now had 3 starving kids. The kids still wanted the order and the woman on the phone promised she would rush the order and we would get it in 30 minutes. 50 minutes later it arrived and the kids finally ate after 9pm! My husband said after all that the wings were definitely not worth it! (I never eat them from here so I can’t say). Never again!

Didnt realize this is the only Planet Wings with the worst reviews. Our experience was not bad at all, we decided to pick up getting there half hour after I called and everything was ready for us. We even ordered 10 more wings for a special they had and they were ready pretty fast. The wings were good, not as many choices as I thought but they were decent prices. We ordered four different kinds of wings, and you can definitely taste the flavor in each.

First time here; had to try the wings. Not terrible. That’s the best I can say. The trouble is, however: The triple-​parked NYC Parks Dept. vans and their employees inside the establishment getting their chicken-​on, swearing up a storm in front of kids and other well-​mannered citizens, and the drunken, juvenile friends of the restaurant workers coming in for free food and bottomless drinks, all while walking around, unnecessarily getting in your way, yelling and carrying on like they’re the only people in the place — and it’s all encouraged by the staff. This ghetto-​fabulous dive would be an absolute blight on any neighborhood. But here in Kingsbridge/​Riverdale, next to bucolic Van Cortland Park in a relatively quiet, leafy section of upper Broadway — it’s an abomination. Next time I get a hankering for this level of inner-​city service and patronage, or desire to witness a thot-​parade, I’ll go chill at 125/​Lenox. Thanks, Planet Wings, for helping me cross another sh*thole off my list.

It’s not the food that gets a 1 star rating, it’s the establishment. While waiting for my order of wings, I witnessed the most ghetto-​est, yes, I used «ghetto-​est», people in all of the Bronx. A trove of drunken 20 something’s walked in, each holding and drinking an open bottle of vodka. These were friends of the girl working the counter. This isn’t good for business. Not only were these people just hanging out and in the way of customers, but one of them had the most annoying fake high pitch voice. Disgusting and not what I want to look at or listen to while ordering and waiting for food. I will NOT be coming back here.

Tried ordering wings through the phone and they seemed to play games. Passing me from one person to the other. They then hang up on me. I call back trying to order again and they continue passing the phone around so I decided to ask for a manger but of course, he was no where to be found. It’s not worth it, buy from somewhere else, do not give give your money to this dump!!!

Tried to order wings from them on Super Bowl Sunday. I called and said I had a coupon for $ 5 off an order of $ 30 or more and I got the response «Hunny, it’s Superbowl, we don’t take coupons». After refraining from jumping through the phone and screaming at her for calling me hunny, I said OK. I placed my order and at the end, said, can you please make sure the driver has change for a $ 100. She said she can’t do that. I asked why, and she said that they contracted out 20 drivers for SBS, and she couldnt guarantee it. I said well can you please make sure that MY driver has it? If you are as busy as you say you are, having to contract out TWENTY drivers, your driver should have a decent amount of cash on him. She said she couldn’t promise it. I asked her what she thought I should then do. (At this point, I knew I could easily give her my CC info over the phone, but I simply didn’t want to. I wanted to see her customer service skills, where were –10.) She said well I guess we’ll see when the food gets there. I laughed, said ok and hung up.
I called back 5 minutes later to request blue cheese on the side. The same woman picks up and says ok no problem. Literally 5 minutes later my doorbell rings. Now I know there is no way he brought the blue cheese because I live at least 7 minutes from the storefront (I can’t even call it a restaurant). My better half opens the door, and what do you know, they guy has no change. None. The drivers bright idea, is to have us give him the $ 100 bill and he can go get change. As if I would trust him. I said No, sorry. At that point I was so hungry I just figured I’d call Planet Wings and give them my CC over the phone. I now have this man standing in my doorway with my food, and I might have called 20 times, and just continued to get the busy signal. After about 5 minutes, I sent the guy away.
Ended up ordering wings from Riverdale City Grill.

This place gets 2 stars, and im being generous! Once you come in you don’t feel welcome. And dont bother ordering for a delivery… unless you want your food 2 hours later. I have ordered from these guys approx. 5 times and everything they arrive the curly fries were sitting inside the container for so long after being cooked that they get soggy and nasty. Bottom line is: customer service is horrible, delivery has a ridiculous waiting time and effort is not made to make sure the food is made to perfection.

We ordered from here because we wanted delivery… should have gotten a take out from a local bar instead. The prices would have been cheaper.
Ordered 30 boneless wings half medium, half cool ranch extra crispy with curly fries.
The wings that were delivered… no where near crispy, the wings were soggy because they were placed inside the same box as the wings and they totally forgot the ranch!!!
To top it off the wings don’t taste that awesome… but hey, it’s fast food.

Listen, it’s fast food! No more, no less. But the wing sauce is really, truly, pretty darn good. Honestly, my guy and I totally gorged ourselves on boneless wings the other night. We have ordered from Planet Wings twice and got our orders hot and fresh within 40 minutes.
Be warned. The hot wing sauce… is indeed hot! :) I backed down to medium on the second order.
If you want some wings and don’t want to spend the extra money on beers in the bar, Planet Wings is a good choice for this area!

Placed my order online at 7:23p for my wife and I. Called after half an hour wait (8:00pm,) they stated that only one driver was available at the time but that my food would leave in 8 minutes and would not arrive cold. I decided to wait patiently and consider the fact that their was only one driver.
It was 9:20p when the food arrived. The Chicken was cold and the fries were saggy. Will not EVER order from here again. I ordered the chicken tenders and they had a sweet taste in the breading which was not my favorite.
Could not rate this place based on pickup or eat in but delivery was the worst ordered food I’ve ever made…
FYI… Place was .3 miles away from my house. :(

My original review was when this place first opened. I guess its time for an update. Hasn’t lost its luster to me, but its not as good as it gets either… lol Its good food, but I feel like its a bit expensive, no?

WHAT was I thinking? The answer is, I probably wasn’t! A group of my coworkers and I decided to order dinner. We were working a late night and wanted half decent food so we don’t hear our empty bellies rumbling.
When debating where to order from, Planet Wings got the unanimous vote. We were peppered with «best wings ever», «best sandwiches ever, big portions, «worth your money»… so we decided to give this place a shot.
3 hungry ladies ordered buffalo chicken wrap, buffalo chicken on hero, chicken tenders as meals. The meal was one of the worst I have ever had! This is fried food at its worst! The chicken tenders didn’t even look edible! It was cold, grey meat and curly fries without the crunch and ketchup. I want a refund & my calories back! The worst part about this entire meal was that the buffalo chicken meals weren’t buffalo chicken at all! No sauce. No Buffalo. And the last rub, pepsi instead of the coca cola.
It is really quite obvious that these folks are trying to turn a profit by purchasing low grade ingredients and selling them at 200% marked up costs.
BARF. Don’t waste your time.
