Have been coming here for years and it’s ridiculous how often they mess up orders, charge you if you have piece preference(even if you do something like 1 breast and 3 wings or 3 drumsticks, they’ll charge extra for the breast), half of the workers will give you an attitude, they ignore you’re food that’s sitting right beside them while they have conversations. I avoid this place as often as I can.

Only giving this specific Popeyes a 1⁄5 stars because Popeyes chicken is a blessing from baby Jesus and the horrible customer service you will find here can’t alter that. But if your looking to be ignored for 5 minutes before you get to order or wait 5 more minutes for the cashier to turn around from talking with her fellow employees to actually acknowledge that you need that bbq sauce then this is the place to be !

omFg!!! Every employee and manager should be fired! Starting with the snotty cashiers that can’t seem to be concerned about taking your order. To the pointless ads/vinyls in the window advertising specials or EVEN the MENUBOARD specials they refuse to sell. The real disappointment… this location closes 12A every day. They stop cooking ALL chicken at 8P. So as long as you come in before then and can wait 15 – 20 for a batch you will eat. Come in AFTER8P and all that is NOTSOLDOUT is whatever is left. Tenders are FIRST to go. Then all the bone-in pieces. I don’t expect afternoon size batch to be fried at 11:45P, but seriously… must the fryer be turned OFFATTHESTROKEOF8P? Seriously, AVOIDTHISLOCATIONIFYOUCAN. I have also witnessed cashiers during the final 4 hours, spray chemical cleaners on the heating unit WHERECOOKEDCHICKENWASSITTING. I have contacted corporate… got crickets. Clearly corporate and whoever owns this location is only concerned about taking the money of those in this neighborhood with ZEROCONCERN for quality, training, consistency or professionalism.

Store #4648 The time now is 9PM on a Thursday night where there is one cashier/server and one cook behind the scene with a flood of customers standing at the queue. The manager closed one register without assisting to diminish the line by rolling up his sleeve either putting the order together or packing it. Hunger pangs strike hard after an exhaustive workday where we just want to enjoy dinner at home. After waiting an eternal thirty five(35) minutes for three customers ahead of us(no joke as I look at the clock on the wall) we were near passing out. The line got longer as the time grew weary into the day’s end. One order of the family meal 8pc chicken mix at $ 9.99 + Shrimp craver side at $ 2.69 totals $ 15.00(with NYC tax). Their Southern fried chicken are always dark meat and I’m happy for the choice of mild. This Popeyes is shared space with Burger King conveniently near East 170th Street of the 4, 5 trains.
