Owner is dope!!! The place was so friendly. I don’t live in the Bronx but I will support this local business. Excellent service!

Went to the door… wouldn’t let us in told us that they were at legal capacity. The place was not crowded. Then they proceeded to let other people in.

Shouts out to the chef tho! I stopped by for brunch zero complaints and shout out to the host real professional and excellent customer service

I really enjoyed myself at this place. It’s right across the street from Havana Café, which has amazingly delicious food by the way. We went there, after having dinner, for drinks and dancing and it was packed. The music was great, but the place was super crowded. The wait for the bathroom was very long. Overall, I went to get drunk and dance and that is just what I did. I had a ball in that small little closet space. Also, enjoyed some Hookah which I don’t normally partake in. It is a cool little spot, with good drinks and good service.

This place is definitely interesting. Lots of frogs so they get 1 star for the creative décor.
I will tell you a little story of a Thursday night i stumbled into this nice establishment
I came here with two friends the place was packed lots of hookah and lots of men. The waitress that was helping us kept forgetting about us and smoking hookah with another table. Weird! But ok everyone needs to have fun. We ordered a bucket of blue moon beer. They arrived just fine but by a different waitress. I notice our waitress put on her coat and just left. She talked out with guys at the other table. So Strange! Another waitress continued helping us and didn’t give us any explanation for the change.
My conclusion, I think well I hope the girl was NOT A WAITRESS and maybe just a customer wearing black pretending. Or there’s a serious staffing issue in this place.

Nice atmosphere, variety of music, great energy & fast paced staff… All a plus for me. Came here on a Saturday night with the girls, since we didn’t want to stay in the house. We decided to come here for some drinks and food, we had a lot of fun and the DJ was funny while on the mic. I would definitely come back again!

Really cool place. Playing really good music. A good mix of all kinds of music was being played. I had the passion fruit frozen margarita with a coronita and it tasted delicious.
To eat I had a chicken quesadilla with side of fries and the Chicken in it was really flavorful. My friend had the pork chop with the rice and beans and the pork chop was cooked to perfection. I’m definitely ordering that next time.
The only thing was an issuing with charging the correct amount on my card so my bank flagged the charge the waitress made and my bank ended up deactivated my card and sending me a new one. I’ll just come back with cash next time but for sure I’ll be back.

WOW… How many ways can I say, this place SUCKS the BIG ONE!!!
Went there to have a $ 12 Jibarito Sandwich with my lady and a client…
First RED FLAG … I noticed the standard dress code were Hoodies and Timbs, Including the «Manager»
Second ALERT… the place was powdered with a soft twirling light floor show paired with BLASTING music… and a sign over the Bar that reads
’ CUSTOMERS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DANCE ’ (I’m not kidding!)
Clearly a strange and mixed message from the management
Hungry and Perplexed, we were still determined to enjoy our dinner, Then the Waitress requested my ID and a credit card before taking our order,
Jokingly, I asked her if she needed a DNA or hair sample, and if they were also performing cavity searches after Dinner…
Little did I know, this was to be my last opportunity to get out of there trauma free and without ruining my appetite.
So, We ordered some wine while we waited for our meal, and after a 30 minute wait and enduring an ear pounding from their Hi-​tech sound system… I began noticing other patrons that got there AFTER we did, were getting their meals first… By this time I wanted to leave…
But STILL I was willing to push through and enjoy my sandwich …
So finally… our food arrived, my lady was served first, then my client…
And everything looked delicious,
Eagerly waiting for my sandwich, and thinking to myself… I’ll feel better after I eat… the waitress dropped a BOMBSHELL on me and said and I quote…
” FOR SOME REASON, YOUR ORDER DIDN’T GO THROUGH THE SYSTEM, SO WE’RE MAKING YOUR SANDWICH NOW!“
I felt My appetite rapidly evict my body that very second.
Sickened from the brutal assault on my senses, I requested my Hijacked ID, credit card, the check, and to make the meal to go!!!
In a desperate attempt to evacuate as quickly as possible, I paid the Bill… but my Lady got feisty and demanded to speak with the manager… They offered us a round of drinks, but frankly, I wouldn’t have stayed if they gave me a bottle with year round open bar… I just wanted OUT!
In the end… the «Manager» reluctantly reimbursed me $ 12. He Didn’t even have the courtesy to bring it over himself, instead he projected a low budget street attitude and gave the refund to the waitress who was apologetic and clearly embarrassed.
I couldn’t make this scenario up, very poor service and even worse management… We ended up at a Diner and had a GREAT MEAL, with friendly service,
I gave the Diner waiter the $ 12 reimbursement
If you don’t mind a loud, Ghetto vibe this place is perfect for you. I wish I could rate this a –1 star.

The food was great, had the mofongo de camarones and chicharron de pollo. The drinks on the other hand… blah. I’m biased bc I’m a bartender but both the margarita and mojito needed work. Nonetheless her service and the music was great. BTW I went on a Friday around 2pm.

The drinks were the star. We had henny coladas & I also had a mango margarita. Pretty standard prices. DONT GET FOOD. Once the appetizers were so lack luster we knew not to order entrees. It took us a while to get s server but once we did she was attentive. I would return for drinks.

A rainy Wednesday night, the day before Christmas Eve and this was the place to be! My party of 6 had such a great time here with relatively cheap drinks, good music, great karaōke and a great crowd!
I didn’t know what to expect walking into Sapitos but was pleasantly surprised to find myself dancing to all genres of music from hip hop to salsa to merengue to r&b to anything! Literally anything! Just go up to the DJ and make your request — and boom you got it.
Combine dancing, drinks and good company with old and new friends and you’ve got yourself a great night!

Throggs Neck has had a shift in establishments that have come and gone and some that have been fixtures for a very long time.
Sapitos is your local neighborhood joint where you come in to just chill. It’s small but full of excitement, especially if you’re hanging out with your homegirls. There’s a DJ every night, and tonight he took Throwback Thursday to another level– Great old school jamz and old school Salsa.
Sapitos is just an adequate Sports bar/​lounge, food was presented ok and seasoned all right –it was Latin but not seasoned with that quintessential Caribbean flava.
All in all its an ok spot in Throggs Neck– just to bug out.

Food was good Drinks & Music was GREAT BUT Hookah’s were too pricy $ 30 & refills were $ 20. They act like we’re at 42^st.
THE problem was we wasn’t searched!!!
The guard ID us & we walked in. That’s No good, the place gets extremely packed. Securities need to watch that. Remember to many gun issues ppl!!! Shit pops off after people get drunk!!!

I guess Bc my boyfriend and I were so eager to go here we were so disappointed. It was more of a bar then a restaurant but that’s not the issue … This famous drink with the upside henny… Ummmm hated it! I got the porkchops which were dry and he ordered the steak. Also as soon as we sat down we were ask for a credit card which to me was so odd. Then an automatic «service charge» on the bill. Def will never b back.

We visit this place at least 3x a month. The music is great, the food is delicious, and the hookah is finely crafted!

Visited this establishment on Friday, 04÷27÷15. I arrived to a packed house with a live dj playing a mix of very good music. Although I saw a few hats-​to-​the-​side and a couple of sweatshirts, I decided to stay and give it a shot because most of the crowd seem between the ages of 30 – 45. Well, I am happy to report the crowd behaved well and there were no security concerns during my visit. This was huge for me. I am 46 years old and the only amusement I get from watching drunk people act a fool is when it’s happening on my television set. :)
The bartenders were a bit overwhelmed due to the constant ordering from the packed house. My bartender was affable. I waited a bit for round # 2 but understood she was running around attending other patrons.
Now, here is what made my head scratch and give this establishment a 3 star rating. I stayed here for 2 hours and ordered a total of 6 corona beers (2 rounds /​we were a group of 3). Well, I handed over my credit card and was charged a whopping $ 46! I looked at the receipt and discovered approximately $ 5 in taxes (which is never charged separately when you pay cash) and an $ 8 service charge.
I will admit this is mostly my fault. I usually NEVER pay with a credit card at a bar because you find out about the «surprises» after your card is swiped. I am by no means a miser but hate it when businesses use this sort of practice. Next time, I am bringing cash.

Pros: love love love their henny colada! Lol no but seriously it was delicious. I only had one last night because I pre gamed with my girls beforehand and it was only Wednesday but still, that one got me up and singing karaōke in a room full of strangers. The flautas I had were delicious especially with the sauce I got from my «chicken chuncks» (which weren’t delicious but more on that later). Drink specials were great! 5 $ well drinks and 1 $ empanadas can’t beat it. Location is great, very nice neighborhood and so close to home I’m mad I didn’t find out about this spot sooner.
Cons: the service could use the most help. Only one server and she was so so confused. Poor thing. She watched us come in but didn’t seat us, then after bringing us our food informed us we had to close our tab because she was finishing her shift. Then we see her having a drink with the dj only to clock back in about an hour later. Confused! The bartender had to take care of us the rest of the night but bless her heart she wasn’t much better. I think they may have been new so I won’t be too harsh but basic common courtesy would go a long way for both ladies just saying. My «chicken chunks» (their name for the dish not mine) were over salted chicken gizzards that would have been better had they not been over done. All in all 3 stars max until next time…

Not a bad place for a weeknight out! Went in yesterday had the Shrimp Mofongo And some drinks. NOT bad at all. Had some hookah as well– The music was good for a Tuesday. Staff was attentive and courteous. Will def be going back for some more monfongo! Yummy! Prices are reasonable too!

Good place for bikers. Place got packed at around 10p. But a lot of older biker guys
Came in. I didn’t like that at all. Good music, ordered quesadillas, hookah, and coronas all night. It was okay except for the nasty, perverted old men that reeked of cigarettes and booze kept trying to talk to me. Ugh! Loved the quesadillas and hookah. It was nice!
