I visited the Staples store in Bay Plaza on 9/20/22 I needed assistance several times at the fax machine. A gentleman / Staples employee named Ebenezer help me he is Very Customer Service oriented, Very Professional and Very Knowledgeable . Ebenezer was Very Kind, Patient and Extremely helpful in assisting me.He is. True Asset to Staples . Thank you very much

Had to be one of the worst experiences today. Have been going to this staples for years and although it’s always been the same with not enough register people today was no different. Went to pick up and order online. Waited 15 minutes for the register person only to be told he couldn’t do it and to call the manager. I asked him to call the manager and was told they’re over there with a pointing of the finger. Still didn’t know who it was and asked again, was told over there. Had to yell for a manager, who came over and had to help. Horrible customer service and slow as molasses. Don’t ever go there before school season starts as well, you might get run over.

There is nothing I can add to this page that hasn’t been said.
Just don’t use the copy and print center. I used a broken machine that no one put an «out of order» sign on. Also, they place a «hold» on your payment card which is really just an additional charge.
don’t even bother. Just go to Baychester Library for your copying/​scanning/​printing needs.

I come here often because they are the dominant supplier of quality office goods in the area. With that in mind, it’s very unfortunate this place has pretty bad customer service. The shipping section is almost always fast & efficient regardless of customer volume. However, the staples side is absolutely horrendous. Every time I go this store I find myself waiting on a line behind 7 or 8 customers because there is only one register open, which is usually the printer ink counter. This is especially frustrating because it’s usually when the store isn’t crowded.

I went to this Staples today and made a mistake with the weekly circular. I used the one that becomes active on ⁴⁄₂₇ and bought something that I thought was on sale. I returned the item, but there was an incident with the manager first. He was rude, talked down to me, and refused to look me in the eye. Every time I tried to say something, he cut me off. He is a TERRIBLE employee and needs to be replaced.

The worst Staples store I have visited in the entire chain, this store located in Bay Plaza at Co-​op City ranks as one of the worst when it comes to customer service. Although the location is larger when compared to other stores in the city, the fact that you can’t locate a sales associate to help you locate something or pull down items stored on a high shelf makes me want to scream. I have complained numerous times to the district manager (Una) and to corporate about this store, but it seems my grievances enter one ear and exit the other. The print shop is never reliable and when I called to get some enlargements done for a wake they told me that the machines would be ready on Saturday (day of wake). I returned that morning, and guess what? Yep, machine still down. They told me to go to their location near Parkchester to get my enlargements which I never did. Store management tried to appease me several times but they never could and when I asked if they can honor prices offered by Best Buy and Amazon on some of their products, they couldn’t. Sale goes bye-​bye and I purchased them at Best Buy and Amazon. In this tough economy, only the strongest survive and apparently management lacks vital logical skills to ring up a sale. Fail!

Ok, i get it, this is the Bronx, and not even a classy part of the Bronx. I bet shopping carts get stolen all the time. But to have a policy of never letting the carts leave the store, of making a person with a cart full of large, heavy objects leave the cart with the rent-​a-​cop receipt-​checker, go get their car, drive it 20 feet closer to the store entrance, park it illegally, and make 15 trips from the store entrance to their car to load everything up is just utter crap.

Great store. helpful employee. They usually know where everything is if you ask them. Most of time it’s organized and stocked up. However, lets get to the negative [not the store’s fault however]:
MAYHEM…real Utter Chaos around back-​to-​school time. Jesus christ, when you walk into this store around this time, you better pray you even make it out alive. Around this time it’s like a jungle and everyone turns into freaking money buying savages. Everywhere you go, there’s basically another customer within every inch of your current standing position.
I witnessed this first-​hand twice. Just picture this… imagine a president’s inauguration in a store [eerily epic, but horrifyingly uncomfortable. lol]. This how it is at this time. I have no idea how the store manages to recover from this, but they miraculously do. I still recommend the store.

If you wanna live to see the next day, for the love of G-​D, do not come here a week before, during, or after the back-​to-​school rush!
Otherwise, the prices are jacked-​up, because they know that in this part of the Bronx, there’s no competition/​other alternatives.
The office center (when properly staffed — which is rarely) with its faxing services is pretty solid, though.

This is a decent enough location to get what you need, but the staff is generally not knowlegeable about products so don’t expect them to help answer your questions.

An actually useful store not too far from my home. The service isn’t as great as some other Staples, but I’m just happy to have it nearby. They have pretty much everything of value locked away, so you will most likely need assistance from one of the store’s employees.
