It’s a dive-bar/min nightclub disguised as a coffee shop, it doesn’t get more Bronx than this

Other than The Blend there are no straight coffee shops located right off of Fordham’s campus so it’s nice having this option. Very friendly staff. He was patient to me not finding my wallet immediately. Prices for the espresso were more than I was expecting but not outrageous. It was a good espresso too. I have yet to try anything other than the coffee but the sandwiches and salads look really good. Overall, I’ll be going back.

Been here a couple of times and every time I’m here it seems to take forever to get my food. I always get the falafel salad because of its yumminess. I don’t mind waiting though… except for that one time I missed my bus! Staff apologized though so my hulk anger subsided. I also like their seating arrangements and ambiance. Drawback is that I get the feeling the«late nights» are only open to Fordham Students. Are they? I’m on a mission to find out.

If Fordham Road were an eyesore for many years, this place definetely rejuvinates the area. It’s a lovely coffee shop for college students who need a quiet place outside of dorm or the library and to get a quick buzz. The coffee is definetely reasonably priced; a small iced coffee is $ 2.00. I like that it’s fair-trade, so you know the coffee comes from workers who were paid and treated well. I also liked the option for either cow milk or soy milk. Naturally, I chose soy milk(I’m not vegan but I don’t like cow milk). They have other goodies such as cookies, muffins, and sandwiches. Lots of Fordham University students frequent the place. I was talking to the girl behind the counter and she was nice. I told her I was born and raised in the Bronx and she was surprised. Yes, not everyone from the Bronx is an ignorant imbecile… I would definetely recommend going if in the area, have a need to stop, get some coffee and just breathe.

Cool, Chill Place to do your work or have a conversation. I had a capachino made with half and half and it was as good as some of the top places. I have only found a few better like the one in chelsea market and specialty places that use illy. Also, I had a whole wheat bagel. Also ranked up there with the best bagel place in brooklyn. My reccomendation? Its a no brainer. Go here!

After walking the noisy streets, I open the door to a nice, quiet, calm and welcoming coffee shop. My first time in was Thanksgiving Eve so they probably didn’t have the clientele from the University because I was the only person in there. The coffee is really good and does the job. It’s also cheaper than any other place that serves high quality coffee. They have free wifi and plenty of power outlets. The food is general baked goods — muffins and such. I did really want a breakfast sandwich but they don’t cook anything there. Reminds me of the coffee shop I used to work at so it brought me back home. I’ll be back when I’m in the Bronx.

I go to Fordham University across the street and I’m a fan of this place. I love the lounge room in the back. Definitely a nice place to go to relax and hang around with friends. It’s comfortable and nicely decorated. A few of my friends and I have gone there to do homework a few times and other times just to sit down after a long day of classes. FREEWIFI helps out a lot. It’s a new place and still getting its name out there. Most of the clientele is Fordham students, but that’s not a bad thing. The coffee is good, I like their iced caramel lattes… and you can’t go wrong with the giant chocolate chip cookie =)

Unfortunately, this place opened the month that I happened to be graduating. Maybe it is not so unfortunate though because I lived there on a daily basis and probably would have gone broke. They have a lounge in the back where people do work and it is relatively quiet, so you can get things done. They also have open mic nights and foods such as salads, sandwiches and morning pastries. The only difference between Starbucks and the type of food they serve is that their food comes from arthur avenue and is not commercialized. The coffee is the best thing about the place. I am extremely picky about my coffee as I have mentioned in other reviews. They use some sort of organic, mexican trade fair coffee that is honestly delicious. It is strong and does the trick when you’re up studying for exams all night. It also serves as a good meeting spot.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this little café tucked away on Fordham Road of all places. They offer sandwiches and salads from Mike’s Deli on Arthur Avenue, coffee, and the usual cold refreshments. Free wi-fi is a plus likely geared to the Fordham students who probably frequent the café when school is in session. Huge lounge in the back with lots of tables and counters with comfortable stools.
