Basic diner experience. I have gone for breakfast a couple of times and the food is consistent. The service is very nice and attentive. Even while it is busy(which it can be very busy for breakfast and lunch), the server was always on top of things. Food tastes fresh and not so greasy. Pancakes i would recommend to try.

Our neighbors have always raved about how great the food is here. So after a fast early morning 2.5hr drive from one of our staycation spots, we opted for a change of pace and decided to come here for the very first time. Sunday morning parking was easily found as there is street parking and a large parking lot directly across from the diner. Upon entering the diner it was already packed, with the exception of one remaining booth waiting for us. Our busboy came over immediately with our water and then our waitress took our orders directly after. It was clear that the staff are pleasant, fast and efficient. Breakfast was served to our booth within less than 10mins of us ordering… that’s some fast short-order cooking! We ordered diner favorites of pancakes and eggs, with corned beef hash. My beau enjoyed his pancakes, I on the other hand prefer my pancakes ‘cakey’ and not ‘spongey’, but that’s really nothing to complain about at all. What’s the bottom line? Pleasant, fast, friendly, decent food at neighborhood pricing. We will definitely be back.

No pictures needed the food here is low budget! You can cook a better meal at home. My poor husband had the pleasure of coming here with his mother in law & brother in law. My husband is such a sweet guy he is black Guyanese. My mother is a white Dominican & Brother is half Puerto Rican /Dominican. Can you believe he is received close to no service by the(Mexican server) & my mom, & brother did. Shit!!! They were all sitting at the same table. Shit my husband told me he gave a tip. I was not there all hell would have broke through! I am so tight right now. These disrespectful bastards need to stop the bull shit service & calm the fuck down.

I have been coming to Liberty for years and it is probably one of my favorite diners. The waffles and the wraps here are better than any other diner I have been to. The staff is very friendly; the restaurant has a nostalgic look. It is a great place to place to catch up with old friends and is, overall, a great restaurant.

If you are a New Yorker and don’t know what good cheese is or what a perfect dish of hash tastes like, then this food will do fine for you. The diner’s prices are usual for New York but the food is over salted, over cooked, and without flavor. Was very excited to try this place but quite disappointed.

They could be very can a whole floor staff be standing together and looking straight into the face of a customer. Like«hello get out of here we don’t want you». For a minute I thought it was because the three of us were the africans. Never been there again. they didn’t even smile at us. i hope they have changed

Very friendly, fast service, and portions are huge. However, the taste and quality of the food is terrible, not even average. As my office is near the diner, I have had a few entrees from Tremont Diner– omelette, pancakes, open faced turkey sandwich, chicken wings, etc. None of them were good. I would say save your money, pack your own lunch, or find somewhere else to eat.

I tried their Gyro platter and it was sliced so thin and tasted old. The salad wasn’t the best either. Will never go back.

I grew up in the area and all I have to say is the Tremont Diner is a staple to the neighborhood. The food has been top notch quality since I can remember, and I’m talking going back to the ‘90s. I love this place and whenever I go home I definitely stop in for a bite. I especially love the spinach pie and greek salad. Also, the soups are delicious… as is just about everything on the menu. Service is always solid!

They have the best food this side of Tremont Avenue. Can’t beat it. I come here and have been coming here for the last 10 years, fantastic service!!!

Anne is awesome! Great waitress! The food was good too! The staff is very tentative to the customers and are helpful. My pizza burger and milkshake were delicious!

This is your average run-of-the mill diner, nothing about it stands out but it’s not a bad place to eat. I’ve dined here a few times and have never had a bad experience. The place has a warm feeling to it and it’s very clean, the staff is also very friendly. A plus is this place has a huge parking lot in the back. The food is average — not bad but not stellar. It is what it is and honestly it’s exactly what it should be for a small diner. If you’re looking for something more sophisticated then you should probably go somewhere else. I usually tread to Larchmont to go the Nautilus Diner but for a quick stop close to home this is perfect.

This is the absolute worst place to enjoy a meal and if I could give it less than a star I would. Waiters could give a f*** less if you’re thirsty mid-way through the meal. Flies and bugs are EVERYWHERE. And I didn’t go to restaurant etiquette school but what I do know is you don’t SWEEPANDMOP with smelly disgusting Clorox right next to customers trying to enjoy their lunch. My whole turkey sandwich tasted like cleaning supplies. This is the second chance I’ve given this place, and again I was disgusted with the lack of service and dirtiness. Why would anyone give this place a positive review is beyond me judging by the fact that THREE tables by me all had the same experience as I did. This is the LAST time, I’m absolutely done with this place.

Ordered chicken and waffles and they looked at me as if I had 3 heads. So I ordered a waffle w/turkey bacon. Took one bite and the waffle was soggy. I had to through that $h!t in the garbage. $ 9 down the drain.

Snow day lunch at a diner we’ve never been too. And upon arrival seems like your typical diner. We ordered a Greek salad and lentil soup, tuna wrap and a beef brisket sandwich. All comfort foods and nothing too fancy. Here’s the run down, Tuna wrap was good and the wrap was not soggy, huge portion so half was taken home. The lentil soup was OK, with a nice flavor but not hearty with a lot of lentils. The Greek salad was perfect with the right amount of feta, olives, tomatoes, salad. The dressing came on the side and was very good. This also was huge and I took ¾ home. The brisket was OK, a little dry, but the gravy on the side was good and made up for it. All in all a good experience and I would return. Their own parking lot was a plus as well, especially on this snowy day. Two downers were that they did not serve wine and the waitress was a tad bit snobby with us. Remember if you want the tastyladies happy, there must be wine and serve with a smile!

When my husband and I can’t make it to our favorite place we come here. The food is good and the service is ok depending on who you get. The food comes out super quick and that’s a plus. This is a typical diner and typical food. I have been here with just my husband and my daughter and as larger as 15 to 20 people and they have accommodated us quickly. Great place for you to just hang with friends and stuff.

At the Tremont Diner a wonderful family oriented restaurant. Classic style side booth and large tables for the large family that wish to have that home away form home feeling. As you sit and wait for your server to come, meals are well cooked, and their salads are to die for. I enjoyed their Cobb salad as the Boss had their mozzarella sticks. this is one diner i love to go to, with my family and friends after a night out or just to go in the weekend when you wish not to cook, and throw back and enjoy the smile and small talk.

Really nothing special… just your typical diner. Lunch time is always packed, which of course is a good thing. I sat at the counter and ordered up a waffle with bacon. Even though it hit the spot, there was nothing to it. The bacon was kind of soggy and the waffle, well, it was just a blah of a waffle. Service was decent, even though I needed a refill and never got it. It’s cool to go once in a while, but definitely not«amazing» like other reviewers say.

One of the better diners in the area, but nothing crazy special. We usually frequent this one when we are in the mood for diner food mainly because of the ease of parking, with a pretty big lot right across the street. Food is decent. I usually get a burger and have never been disappointed, however I’m not a big fan of their fries. Breakfast foods are all pretty good too and you definitely get a big portion size so come hungry. Service here has been spotty, sometimes we get really great, friendly service while other times we might as well be the servers ourselves as many times as we had to get up and ask for stuff. Usually it’s pretty decent though, even when busy. **April Underdog Challenge Day 4**
