White Castle

Still the only Real food fast food place. And they are way cleaner than Wendy’s McDonald’s and burger King.

Sunday afternoon. Not crowded. Just a few customers waiting for their orders. Food preparers were very busy making Internet orders and yelling «Internet order» while no one was there to pick up and in store customers waited and waited. When my order finally came it was incorrect. The cashier was about to fix the order but needed the managers assistance. I decided to take the order as is. Same White Castle taste but the bread was very soggy. No love whatsoever went into preparing these burgers because they were just rushing to make Internet orders. At least the location was clean. Won’t stop here again.

Went here the other day, I find this place a little lame, they serve cold fries even the burgers were not even heated enough.
Ugh, what I hate the most the waiting line that sucks.
Overall, everything was bad, too bad I wont even think of coming back again.

Are you friggin kidding me?! It’s White Castle! If you grew up around this you know. Back in NY for two days and bam! Have to get some White Castle!

I came here on Monday Night July 27 around 10:30pm with My Fiancée and The second we entered we were harrassed by 2 men for change. I felt very intimidated by these 2 men who were Heavyset I Myself am a very slim and my Fiancée is very small. I handed over all my change in fear that they would attack me or even Vandalize My New Car which i am sure They noticed as we pulled Up to the parking lot. As Much as I Love White Castle I will never set Foot in here again unless Something is done and individuals like this are banned from hanging around and harrasing people.

I came here twice in one day. Once in the afternoon around 1pm and later in the evening around 9pm
Both times the lobby was very dirty. The garage cans were full. The tables were dirty. The floor had a bag of empty hamburger boxes on the floor. That was still there when I returned. The workers did not have a name tag on. The person who was taking the cash was also serving the food. The soda station was also untidy. There is a High school nearby but school is out for the summer so there’s no excuse. The service was fast and accurate.

Regular slow-​service, cheap, reliable, white castle. Not sure why ordering takes 10 seconds but waiting in the drive through is always at least 10 minutes, but the prices are cheap and the food is what it is.

I love my White Castle, always have and always will. Fast and friendly service, been eating these for over 50 years. on Allerton Ave and now Tremont Ave. The best!

So, this is the White Castle where I was introduced to The Chicken Ring Slider.
Looking at my capitalization of The Chicken Ring Slider, you might think that I briefly turned into a 55 year old woman using the internet for the first time ever, but I assure you, this did not happen. I’ve chosen to capitalize this menu item so that you might understand just how good it is.
Because it is literally the greatest thing that has ever happened to fast food ever, and I cannot believe that I had never tasted one until this weekend.
Two rings of white chicken «meat» and a melted slice of orange cheese sandwiched between two bread pillows and — here’s the Emeril BAM! — covered in honey mustard (make sure you ask for it)… my life was changed the moment I took that first bite.
And lucky for me, my life changed in this White Castle. It was late at night, but it was clean and orderly, our food was ready in a jiffy, and the man behind the counter was pleasant and loaded us up with plenty of honey mustard.

Ordered a #7 wanted to substitute Onion Rings for Fries and had to pay $ 0.20 extra. Noticed later that a small onion rings is $ 0.04 less than a small fries. Why do I have to pay extra for a substitute which costs less. The sliders were bland as well.

As far back as I can remember, White Castle has been a staple in my life, from the time I was five years old and my Father taking my Brother and I for a sack of those square little burgers, to my time as a teenager coming home at 4−5am in the morning from a Manhattan club with a craving for White Castle (not too mention most White Castles are truly open 24-​hours!!) to now as a full grown adult I still love the taste of those tiny square burgers. I don’t if it’s the way the steam cook them with freshly chopped onions or what but all I do know is when I get the craving for them I have to have them — like Harold and Kumar!
Just something about them you cannot get at McDonald’s, Burger King or even Wendy’s! And while the price has gone up from the time I was a kid, you can still buy a sack of ten for about $ 5 dollars! White Castle is still one of my favorite fast food burger joints of all time!

Our area doesn’t have much in the way of gross fast food junk food, but a quick drive up here hits the spot for those disgusting cravings. How can something so bad be so good?
I prefer Krystal’s over White Castle any day of the week, even if they are arguably the same thing. But this place gets the job done when lots of mini steamed burgers are on my mind.

Gross. And gross to you. That describes both the food and the experience at this White Castle. Saturday night 2 of us drive over there to find a deserted parking lot and empty restaurant (never a good sign). We decide to try it anyway, curiosity getting the better of us. Walk in the front door and what do you see but bullet proof plexiglass 3 inches thick between the dining area and cashier/​food prep area. This is also never a good sign. We ignore sign #2 and order. The burgers tasted like … well … they didn’t taste like anything. It was as if we had ordered soggy warm sandwiches hold the flavor. I didn’t think it was possible to put meat, cheese, and onions on bread and come out with no taste whatsoever.
Of her hamburger, my ladyfriend said, «Mine isn’t that good, I should have ordered the cheeseburgers.» Then she tried a bite of my cheeseburger and was amazed to find that it tasted exactly the same. I don’t know what concoction of chemicals they use to make their «cheese-​like substitute» but dairy is definitely not a major player in the ingredients. The White Castle «cheese» probably has a longer shelf life than the Twinkie (but at least Twinkies have flavor).
On the plus side the staff was very friendly and the bulletproof glass was not needed during our short visit.
We both left feeling exactly how we expected to feel: Gross.
If I were hungry, I would rather fill up on used chewing gum found on a subway bench than eat that filth again.

2 stars for being open 24hrs… although you wouldnt want to be caught in the area any time pass midnight, not even in the drive through!!! beware of the gunshots lolol

This place is a disgusting place with disgusting people. I can’t believe the customer service in here. Ketchup was splattered all over the walls, balled up empty bags on the floor, spit, condoms, the people that run this place should be arrested and thrown in jail for being disgusting slobs and endangering their customers.
It’s sad to know this was a nice neighborhood years ago now it’s turning into the South Bronx (which was also nice 50 years ago).

I have been going to this White Castle since I was I went to the High School next door and I have never had a bad experience there. You can see the grill and the service is not too bad. The people who work there are very attentive and kind. However I would just stick to the drive thru, the patrons who attend there are a bit young or a bit out of work. Great place to get a very late night snack or to satisfy a craving!

Go to place for late night hunger. Advise using the drive-​thru unless you want to wait for your burgers next to wasted and drunk clientele.

White castle, lol every time I go I feel like harold and kumar in their adventure. Normally I go late night and I get my grub on. White castle I like to do drive thru, more relaxed and you don’t have to deal with the crazies that come in late night, crave case 30 burgers to the face yes I’ve done it and you know fry sacks, chicken rings and yes I even dabble in the fish nibblers. White castle exposed me to tartar sauce for the first time ever, love it. The only problem is white castle tastes great but the next morning your one hundred percent getting the runs !!!

You know you have to love them tiny cheese burger and a sack of fries and the chicken rings with honey mustard is the ticket.

Harold and Kumar never made it to this brick and mortar storefront. They were busy in dirty Jersey.
This location was once combined with Church’s Chicken. Now it’s a stand alone, remodeled White Castle and uglier than ever. Next to Lehman High School, adjacent to the BP gas station and located in the heart of the «Westchester Square» bus and subway hub, this fast food joint sees a lot of action. I’ve dined in a few times and the lovely cast of characters (other patrons, ie fugazi thugs, change soliciting bums, ugly people, etc) implicitly tell me to avoid it at all costs. Now I only go to the drive through when I’m tipsy (I’m not driving, stupid, someone else is) from happy hour; I pick up a crave case and chicken rings. Finally I get home as fast as possible, swallowing as many tiny sliders as I can. Say that last sentence five times fast. It hits the spot.
Another interesting factoid: I do know that at early mornings during the week, illegal immigrants looking for work loiter in the area. I’m serious! No, I didn’t sip on Haterade today.
