I’ve been coming here for my inspections for years now. My dad recommended it and he’s been coming here for years as well. Kuya Rolly’s really nice and thorough. He’ll take the time to explain stuff to you. The only downside is that there’s not enough chairs for people to sit and wait. Personally, I haven’t had that problem because I make sure I come in first thing in the morning to beat the rush of customers.

In the early 90’s, a group of Filipino professionals decided to establish this car service center in the Bronx. «Family» is a small auto shop, providing services such as oil changes, brake installation, and any type of work/maintenance you can think of. My friend suggested this place to me, when I bought my car and needed an inspection sticker. Since 2003, I have gone once a year(now it’s twice, since I take in my wife’s car). «Rollee»(spelling), the man who greets everyone and directs traffic, always remembers my name(That’s amazing. I don’t remember the mailman’s name and I see him more frequently). He’s a friendly guy and understands the meaning of cultivating relationships. He has some type of CRM system in his head. «Family» has upgraded to a plasma tv in the office, so those who wait can enjoy a movie or tv. While I waited I caught glimpses of Shrek 3. Although I never call ahead or make appointments(I always just drop in on a Saturday), this place can busy at times and you may have to wait in line; initially finding parking in the surrounding area can be difficult too. I wasn’t there too long(some folks were ahead of me) and paid $ 37 for an inspection, a sticker and documentation in hand(in case I need it to renew the vehicle registration). Works for me. IFHTP3+
