I recently purchased a new Vision Fitness treadmill from 2nd Wind Exercise in Brookfield, and am very happy with my experience there. Upon entering, I noticed how clean and well kept the store and all the equipment was. I was greeted by the store manager, Jesse, who was very knowledgeable about all of the treadmills I was interested in. He was able to guide me to the Vision Fitness treadmill, which surpassed my expectations of quality and ease of use. He was able to guide me through the financing process, which was quick and easy. I was even able to purchase delivery and set up, which was a huge help as I don’t think getting it home would have been easy alone. I was thinking about buying on Craigslist, and boy am I glad I didn’t! This treadmill has a great warranty, I was able to finance it, and have it delivered and set up. Because of the great customer service, and fantastic selection of equipment, I will definitely be buying more equipment from Jesse at the 2nd Wind Exercise in Brookfield.

Unfortunately, I’m just not a fan of this place. I only went once, and honestly I can’t ever see myself setting foot back in this place. My husband and I were on a quest to find a treadmill at a reasonable price. We decided to hit up 2nd Wind on a whim, as we were heading out that way and decided to check it out. I am of the opinion that people should be allowed to shop in peace without getting the whiff of a stinky sales pitch. That’s exactly what we received upon walking into 2nd Wind. As soon as we opened the door and walked in, I could see the sales guy foaming at the mouth. We barely got to look at a machine before he came over and gave us his sales pitch. Ugh. I am NOT a fan of this sales tactic. At all. A simple«no, we’re just looking» should suffice. Leave us alone and if we need you, we will call you over. Unfortunately, this guy was like static cling. We told him what we were looking for and he gave us a song and dance on a used(kind of beat up and at least 6 years old) LifeFitness treadmill. Yes, LIfeFitness is generally known for being one of the best. We walked in acting like we didn’t do our research(although we did), and maybe that was our first mistake. Second of all — the machine was filthy. It was clear they were telling the sales guys to push that machine, it appeared they wanted it gone. There was another sales guy pushing the same machine to a couple before we walked over to it. I’m not saying he wasn’t nice — he was very nice. But the sales pitch in general was kind of skeevy and reeked of ‘commission desperation.’ When we tried to escape out the door, he spotted us(he was working with another customer at the time) and immediately knocked off $ 300.00 from the price if it would ‘help with our decision.’ Warning! Warning! Danger, Will Robinson!“ We reluctantly gave him our phone number and shortly after, received several voicemails(«Just wondering if you’re still interested, we cleaned it up for you and it’s looking really great, I’ve got several people interested so if you’d like this machine, it might not be around for long, etc.») We never returned his calls — hopefully he got the hint. Maybe if you buy a newer machine and know exactly what you are looking for, stop in and see if they can give you a good deal. Otherwise I don’t think I will ever set foot in here again.
