Be very careful when renting from this company. We rented a full set of dive equipment on 8÷1÷15. We made our reservation for the equipment rental two weeks in advance. When we arrived, we were told that most of the«better» equipment was already rented out for some dive picnic(we were never told this prior to the rental). We get to the lake and my wife’s BCD wouldn’t stay inflated. In addition, her older model of BCD only had two small pockets. These small pockets wouldn’t hold enough weight to get her to the bottom. On top of this, they didn’t give us enough weight(they don’t have weight belts) to get to the bottom of the lake. Needless to say she wasn’t able to dive and since it’s unsafe to dive without a buddy, I only dove for 10 minutes. I only used a ¼ of the air in one of my tanks and didn’t touch my second. My wife didn’t use either of her tanks. We went back to the shop and explained our experience and were told that the manager was not on duty and they could not offer a refund or any other solution. They gave us the manager’s contact info and we tried contacting this manager twice and also tried 2 other contacts we had for the shop. We never received a response from Aquatic Adventures. From what we have experienced, they are very poor on customer service and their equipment that we paid $ 300 to rent was just a waste of money. I would strongly caution anyone who is thinking about renting from this facility.

I’ve been going there for about two years now and I am very happy with the quality of the service. I’ve brought tanks in for fills, visual inspections, and hydro-testing, and they’ve always let me know how long it will take and, if that changes for some reason, they’ve been great about calling me up and letting me know. I’ve taken my regs in for servicing and the work has been great and done within a reasonable time frame. They log tank information into their database, and once when I brought in a tank which lost its visual inspection sticker the staff was able to reference the tank in their store records, verify that it still was within its visual inspection date, and give me a fill and a replacement sticker. Never any problems with the air quality, and the Nitrox fills are spot-on. The store staff is always friendly and helpful, store has plenty of merchandise to look at and carries some of the helpful stuff that local divers can use. Whenever I’ve had questions, they’ve always taken the time to help me out as much as they could. They sell fill cards, organize trips, do lots of training. Their prices are either lower or competitive with the other dive shops in the greater Milwaukee area.

I’ve been going to AAI for 3 summers now. I received my open water certification and EANx certification through AAI, purchased my entire kit through AAI, and just completed my drysuit certification with them yesterday. I’ve had friends and relatives who use some of their competitors in the area and the level of service is leaps and bounds above the horror stories I hear from them. My cousin was trained via another dive shop and when we did our first dive 3 weeks after he was certified I had to retrain him in his emergency procedures, how to properly do a buddy check, how to properly setup his gear… I was completely blown away that they hadn’t ensured he had these skills down solid before certifying him and I know that had he gone to AAI none of that would have happened. I can say that their staff is so knowledgeable and friendly that I actually consider most of them personal friends now and dive with them on a regular basis just for fun. Easily the best dive shop in the area.

There are a few dive shops that are closer to where I live. I choose to do business with Aquatic adventures because their staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about diving. They offer many different classes with top notch instructors for both beginning and advanced divers. They also offer a wide variety of equipment for sale and rental. Whether you’re a beginning diver, or an experienced technical diver, this shop has all the equipment you’ll need. I would highly recommend Aquatic Adventures to anyone looking to buy equipment, take classes, or just to meet new dive buddies.

I have taken classes and rented gear at this business AND have done the same with another local scuba business. Both classes were well organized and taught by knowledgeable instructors. However, a series of negative experiences with another shop motivated me to seek out other dive businesses that may serve my needs better. I am a busy professional with a young family, so squeezing dives in is hard for me. The staff at this establishment has never made me feel like my business was unwanted and tactfully offered helpful advice when I was making newbie mistakes. I cannot say the same about my experience with the other local company. Aquatic Adventures sales staff is low pressure and education-oriented. If you aren’t ready to make a purchase, they don’t look at you like you just wasted their time. Their goal is clearly to build a relationship with Waukesha County residents and they have succeeded admirably to win mine!
