We order from this place often at my work but today we had finally had enough and threw the menus from Danny’s away! The women who answers the phone there has always been so rude. Every time they screw up an order they blame it on the customer and won’t even try to make it right. Delivery is always 1 ½ hours, so tonight we called around 3:30 and asked to ha e the food by no later than 5:30. Mind you this was 4 Chicago style hotdogs and 3 fries. At 5:50 I had to call and ask where our food was. The very rude lady says«it should have been there but it’s not, he must be driving cautiously.» We are less then a mile away(next to the Zoo) and roads were your typical winter roads. They knew it was snowing when I called hours before hand. The thing that gets me the most is how rude the women on the phone always is, why do work with people of you hate them so much? I realize you don’t care but you have lost our business for good this time!

I have always loved dannys! Have been ordering from them for 5 years! Well today was different, I ordered my usual $ 50 dinner order every week, and not only did they give me the wrong pizza, they told me I was wrong and I ordered my pizza wrong. I have never ordered that type of pizza in my life. My kids hate sausage and are currently waiting for another new pizza in order to eat dinner which is always at 530. Waste of time and money. On to find a new pizza place!

GREAT thin crush pizza and very generous with both the toppings and the cheese. Don’t let the older, unassuming exterior fool you, this family run place has consistently good Italian food, sandwiches and burgers. We always make a stop when we’re driving down Ogden to get something to take home for supper.

Beefs, pizza, gyros, burgers and Burritos. That’s Danny’s For the little Mom and Pop shop in the burbs this is the real deal. With dozens of selections and probably the best pizza in town, Danny’s is the spot to be! Mario, Carlos and the gang can tell you every story on Ogden ave. Please do yourself a favor and stop by Maple & Ogden to Danny’s and you won’t regret it!!!

This little restaurant is not big on the inside but great to grab lunch on the go. I eat here a lot through the week since it is quick and close to my work. I have to say the hamburgers, hot dogs and pizza are worth a try.

Danny’s has great food! I’ve been here a few times. Small local joint down the street from my house. Friendly staff, quick service, reasonably priced food, variety of dishes… Average hot dog /pizza /beef joint. Smaller inside, not much to look at on the outside. The last time my family ordered, we had plenty of leftovers. Slices of sausage pizza are decent and huge for $ 3… Pizza puff has a nice flavor. Hotdogs are alright, fries are bigggg. Salad comes with more than just lettuce so that’s a plus. The ricotta stuffed shells are freaking amazing! I love Danny’s pasta sauce. Oh and the jalapeño poppers are real cheesy, delish! Not a fan of their cannolis –tasted too packaged. And this last time I picked up food, they forgot the cheese for my fries. This isn’t a deal breaker but check your order before leaving :))) and I’m actually not really into the beef sandwiches… Overall, the majority of food here has been absolutely delcious!!! I will continue dining here when I’m in the mood for a quick, fast meal.

Try to hire somebody who would like to listen to customers when placing an order on the phone. Lost a customer for life not that it was that great of a place to anyway.

A small no frills beef place in Brookfield. The beef was a bit dry and it took some time to get meal. Aside from that this place is better than your average hot dog stand. The pizza looks pretty good for a place that doesn’t specialize in it and they have a pretty good menu with a variety of fast American food

Pizza is priced well although I have not tried the other items on the menu. Mexican cashier guy is really friendly and accommodating. I do hardwood flooring so I need to wash my hands before I eat and they let me use the employee bathroom which is uncommon for alot of places. Quick service as well

Worst service ive ever had! Waited an hour and a half for a burger. I called after an hour and they told me it was on the way. Im 8 blocks from the place. After 90minutes it arrived but didnt have the sauce i wanted. I caught the delivery guy at the car and asked about it. He told me,“yeah i gotta go back and get it.” Wont be ordering from there again.

On the surface, Danny’s is just another beef and hot dog joint along Ogden Ave that has gyros and pizza. I used to live a couple of blocks south of there when it was named Annie’s(yeah, they just painted a «D» on the big sign out front) and it was good for a Chicago hot dog or Italian Beef — still is. This review is about their pizza. I am a big fan of REAL Chicago-style pizza — not that deep dish crap tourists wait an hour and a half for at Gino’s East, but medium crust, sweet tomato and fennel sauce, heavy on the mozzarella, full-on Italian sausage pizza that small local Chicago pizza joints produce. THAT is Chicago pizza. Danny’s has Chicago pizza that equals the best in the Chicago area. I rate Danny’s pizza as the equal of Benny’s in Berwyn and Palermo’s in Oak Lawn — they all produce Chicago pizza so good that it will cause you too eat so much of it that you will hate yourself for days. I challenge anyone to get some and have the leftovers last the night in the fridge. I have laid awake in bed in the middle of the night — knowing there are a few pieces of Danny’s pizza in the fridge — and been unable to control the urge to quietly(in order to not clue the wife into what I was doing) get out of bed and scarf the rest of the leftovers. Danny’s pizza has the aforementioned sweet tomato and fennel sauce that marks the best Chicago pizza. They use just the right amount that it doesn’t overpower the other ingredients and become all sloppy. The Italian sausage they use is perfect, slightly spicy and used in oyster-sized lumps. I am a total garlic freak and get off on having it on pizzas. Danny’s uses excellent chopped garlic on the pie and it really adds to the total flavor. The last specialty that makes me groan in ecstasy is their giardinera that I always get. It adds a perfect spice to the pie and eliminates the need to use horrible shaker flake-pepper. Danny’s has a ridiculously large delivery area and, given the spartan quality of their dining area, is the way to go. I live in Western Springs and usually get delivery in about 45 minutes — maybe an hour during rush periods. Make sure to tell them what you want for your free bottle of pop — I’ve had a two liter of Grape Crush in my basement fridge for about four years. Man, writing this has has given me an enormous taste for Danny’s pizza. Guess what we’re having tonight?

Danny’s is a small pizza place and Chicago style eatery located off of Ogden Avenue in Brookfield. There is a menu board on one wall and a counter to order at with a few tables and chairs set up inside and a very powerful air conditioner blowing to keep the Chicago summer heat from effecting its patrons. When traveling to Danny’s I decided to try the two hot dog special. The hot dogs included came on a standard non-poppy seed bun. The inside portion of the bun was soft, but the outside was a bit crumbly and dry. The application of mustard, relish and onion was fine, none of the ingredients stuck out. The sport peppers they used were a little bit large with one of the peppers rivaling the circumference of the dog itself. The pickle used was thin and not particularly sour, and several unevenly distributed tomato chunks that were more watery than most were placed on both dogs as well. The sausage itself was a properly steamed skinless dog and had a nice flavor. Finally, I didn’t detect any celery salt on the dog. It also came with fries, these were a bit on the salty side. They had a crispy outside and a soft potato inside. These were very similar to fries served a lot of places and this particular stle of french fry is not a favorite of mine. Overall Danny’s was decent for the price and I would go back again. It’s not the best hot dog you can find, but it wasn’t bad either.

I stopped in on a whim for a hot dog. Yum! Vienna beef, with onions, mustard, tomatoes, and sport peppers. Soft fresh bun, great taste. A pleasant surprise. It also smells wonderful in there… it’s the pizza… want to try it soon!

This place does the trick when you’re looking for some quick eats. The burgers, hot dogs and gyros are your standard hot dog. burger joint type of place goodness. The pizza is sold by the slice and is ok, nothing special. Their fries are always really good and surprisingly so is the chicken parmesan. However, the pasta that comes on the side is usually overcooked and yucky, so i just ask for fries or something else on the side instead. Nothing special about service, they take your order and then stick it out the window when it’s ready. I will say that the combos are actually a deal, I’ve done the math, thank you very much.

I have lived in this neighborhood for about 20 months. When I first came here, I had tried another pizza restaurant(twice): but it just was not good. Then I found Danny’s! From the outside, it doesn’t look like much: and I probably would have just passed them by… but I didn’t. And I am sure glad that I did give them a try. I just love their pizzas. They have many styles that you can choose from. My favorite would have to be the supreme. And they have sizes all the way up to an 18″…which has been great for our household. All pizzas also come with a free liter of pop… something that I just love. My favorite meal from Danny’s, has to be, their lasagna: which I get with extra sauce and cheese. Even without the extra ingredients: this stuff«is da bomb». Most times, we just order our food to be delivered. Delivery is usually within the time frame that they say: but we have had several times when it was pretty late. However, the food is always worth the wait. They even have one delivery driver, who will bring the food into your home, and place it down on your table for you: so you don’t have to do this. This was quite a shock the first time we saw this… but it is a welcome service that we love. Danny’s does have a small dining area of about 3 – 4 tables: so you can even eat in, if you so desire. I have done so, but it was not my favorite way to dine. But if you are just picking up something on the way to somewhere else, and you don’t want to eat in your car, or wait until you get to your destination: this their dining facilities will do just fine. Danny’s also has a promotion, that when you save 20 menus, you can get a free small cheese pizza, or(I think) $ 9 off of your purchase. This is probably why you don’t see menus just lying around to be picked up(in responce to a previous comment). I have already had two free pizzas… and am close to my third free pizza. The only suggestion I would have for Danny’s, would be that they should invest in a POS system, that maintains customer info. This way, they will not have to ask for all the same information each and every time a repeat customer calls in an order. This will speed the order taking process: and keep their customers happy as well. So if you want a great meal, at a great price… then Danny’s Pizza is a wonderful place to get a bite to eat.

Danny’s is your typical«italian beef shack», which for me is a good thing. I really like places like this. It’s got good burgers, decent fries, and good service. I did hear people raving about the pizza, so that’s next to try. And any place that serves chili cheese fries is a place to go for me! I’ll definitely go back again. But next time I’ll make sure to ask for a carry-out menu. That’s the one negative I can say is they had no menus out for people to grab.
