Punta cana sandwich(decent size, about $ 10) was pretty good. The potato sticks really added flavor. I always add chips to my sandwich, so loved that. The bread was harder than I thought it would be and I didn’t get a cheese flavor, so didn’t bother to spend the $ 10 to bring a frozen loaf home. If you’re gluten-free, definitely worth checking out.

Best bread around — both gluten free and not! I do not have a gluten free diet, but these rolls are a must have in my freezer since I tried them. They’re expensive for bread, but worth it. The family who sells them is super nice too.

I can say with confidence that the Egg and Cheese sandwiches are the best in Brookfield. I’ve also had the eggplant sandwich, which is pretty good. Not the cheapest place but you get what you pay for. They have Mexican coke sometimes as well.

Found this place while just browsing for a quick place to get a sandwich. Was surprised at how good a simple eggplant sandwich was. The bread was great(gluten free) and normally am not the biggest fan of gf products. Would definitely come back here, it’s easy and not much out of the way from super 7. Definitely recommend… Price is ok, about $ 10 for a sandwich.

The sign outside now reads«Gluten Free — Oasis» so don’t miss it looking for«Mama’s» It’s still all the same inside & same owners, etc. — marketing…;-) You don’t have to be gluten free to love this cheese bread! I love the breakfast sandwiches which are generously filled. The regular sandwiches are unique and tasty, too. It’s great that you’re given a sample roll while you wait for your order. The entire staff is warm and friendly. My daughter recently moved to NJ and said Mama’s Cheese Bread would be one of the things she would miss most from Conn.

Realized I hadn’t reviewed yet after yet another trip here. I love the #2 sandwich which is a stuffed chicken sandwich on the cheese bread. The chicken is stuffed with pork which is stuffed with ham and some Kiebalsa. Its omg so good. I broke my diet for this today! Service is quick and friendly! I haven’t tried anything else yet but I know I need to. But the stuffed chicken is a must try!

I am gluten free and feel so lucky to have the staff at Mamas Cheese Bread Factory offer their fantastic sandwiches! My favorite is the roasted eggplant sandwich. I buy the froze rolls regularly and have always been welcomed with warmth and professionalism by the staff. The staff are genuinely customer oriented and I just love it when they treat me to a warm cheese bread roll to enjoy on my way home. I even got the rest of my out of state family hooked on these! Tossing one of the frozen sandwich rolls into the oven for five minutes and filling it with mozzarella and tomato is my morning breakfast quick trick! Love Mamas!!!

I had a 05, Mama’s Sub. Half way thru I thought it was a little dry. There was no special sauce on it. When I went back in, the owner said that was the way it comes, but if you want some dressing, he would put some on. The roll was good, so I got one to go, and made a better sub at home. I think $ 2.25 for one roll is a little excessive, but I knew the cost before I paid.

It has been a while since i have been here so there is a chance they might have improved their recipe or what not. But there is a good reason I have not gone back since it opened back about 2 – 3 years ago i think. Decided to one day pick up the little balls they call cheese bread and i have to admit i was fairly excited about it, but once i bit into the first piece of cheese bread, the only thing i can think of is chalk and cardboard. The consistency is very chalky, maybe from the type of flour they use? but as i was chewing this all i wanted to do at that point is spit it out. I understand that everyone has different taste and some people might even enjoy it, but all i have to say is this«cheese bread» should be more like dry cheese sponges. Would never come back here even if they paid me.

Had a great first experience. Came in on a whim, and everything on the menu looked a little unusual. Ordered the Punta Cana sandwich(shredded chicken, raisins, potato sticks, etc) mainly because I’d never heard of it, plus 6 mini cheese breads since the place is named for it. Suffice to say everything was very tasty and just a bit different from what you get anywhere else!(Unless you’re familiar with Brazilian food I guess.) All the sandwiches come on their cheese bread, made from yuca and mozz. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu!

The bread alone is delish and homemade and gluten free. Cheesy and pillowy goodness! Get the special stuffed pork or stuffed chicken sandwiches to enjoy the best this place has to offer. Off the beaten path but great find in Brookfield!

By far the absolute BEST gfree rolls!!! They make an amazing egg sandwich or buy some frozen one to bring home. I love going to Maggie McFly’s to get their grass fed burger that they serve on these rolls! Simply the best!

I found Mama’s Cheese Bread Factory thanks to Jane & Michael Stern’s Road Food appearance on the Splendid Table. It was featured on the show and since I go back and forth between PA and MA pretty often, I decided to pop-in. They have amazing sandwiches here. I had a stuffed pork loin sandwich on the cheese bread and loved it so much, I ordered a second one for myself on the drive home. I also brought home a half-dozen sandwich buns for later. The next day, I made breakfast sandwiches in them and my girlfriend loved it. There isn’t much space to sit, but if you’re in the area, make an effort to stop in for a sandwich. I will be back and I decided that I’ll have to try the punta cana next time.

I have to go against the flow here. Stopped in for the first time for lunch. Didn’t realize the bread was ONLY gluten free and it has a weird after taste. Two of us had the Punta Cana sandwich which was tasty to start but nasty at the end. And now I have an upset stomach. May be great if you’re gluten free but there is much better in the gluten world

Very friendly owner. He will give free samples of the cheese bread! I got the grilled cheese and it has ham on it. Very delicious and filling. The shop is small but you can eat there. I will definitely be going back with my sister because she speaks Portuguese and loves cheese bread more than I do!

It’s OK Bread is pretty high in price. Food OK as well But I don’t think its really all that to give it 5 stars or even 4.

This place is heaven for someone with Celiac disease. When you are craving that deli sandwich and you can’t remember how long its been since you had quality gluten free bread, this is the place for you. My wife has had celiac for 6 years now and we have been all over the country; this by far is her favorite bread. They also make pizza crust, dinner rolls, sandwich rolls, and everything in the place is gluten free. We had a late breakfast/early lunch and decided to eat there at the small counter with a couple of stools. Seating is limited inside, so be prepared to take your food to go if it is busy. My wife went with a bacon egg and cheese sandwich that was excellent. The bacon was thick and very tasty, the egg was large and fresh, and the cheese was just the right amount. I went with the stuffed pork sandwich per the owners recommendation; the pork had been slow baked for 5 hours and was moist and bursting with flavor. The owner was very hands on and really friendly. You can tell he really has passion for pleasing patrons and making sure everyone leaves happy. Highly recommend Mama’s to anyone looking for a great sandwich or just in need of some tasty bread!

When was the last time your colleagues universally praised and recommended a weekday breakfast place? I know, I was intrigued too when my colleagues talked about Mama’s cheese Bread factory as if that’s the best thing happened since a piece of bread. I travel often on work and like many frequent travelers, when I am on road, I have come to accept substandard hotel breakfast as norm. But given such stellar recommendations for a simple breakfast place, I had to try the place for myself. Mama’s cheese Bread factory is in Federal road(Brookfield) closer to the highway 7. It’s a small, distinct building, probably a house converted into a restaurant — whatever it is, it’s quite nice to looks at. They have plenty of parking spaces for the morning rush. Inside, it’s warm and welcoming place and much of it is kitchen space and there is a small 3ftX9ft area where you peruse the menu and place order. It’s designed to facilitate quick pick up orders but they do have few bar stools if you prefer to just eat it right there. Everything was clean and properly arranged. I ordered, 1) Breakfast sandwich with egg and ham. 2) Coffee While the food was being prepared — the chef, who was originally from Brazil, came to me and asked if this was my first time here(I guess I have this ‘not from here’ look). I told them yes, he immediately grabbed a mini cheese bread and handed it to me — ‘You should try this’. It was absolutely delicious. While I was munching, he mentioned that this was made of Yuca flour and completely gluten free. I have tasted some gluten free stuff before but I usually find them not as tastier as original ones. But this is one in a different league altogether — I didn’t even know it was any different, I just loved it. Then came the breakfast sandwich with egg and ham — I was happy to know it was made with the same Mama’s cheese bread! It was simple and brilliant — individually all components of the sandwich worked well and together it’s somehow more than sum of it’s parts. First of all, it was huge sandwich, by the time you finish the sandwich, which you will, you won’t be hungry for sometime. And the coffee was good, not the best I have had but good. They sell those Mama’s mini cheese bread in half a dozen and dozen numbers. Also, you can get it frozen for cheaper and bake it yourself at your convenience. I would buy this in a heart beat if I lived here. While I was waiting for my order, couple of ladies came in just for the frozen cheese bread. They also have lot of lunch sandwiches but I haven’t tried any of that yet and when I do, I will update my experiences. So just based on the breakfast alone, I highly recommend Mama’s cheese bread factory to anyone. Without any doubt the best I have had in Danbury/Brookfield area. Five Stars

The best gluten free bread I’ve ever tried! I asked friends for suggestions and one of them told me about this hidden gem. SO happy I took the drive out there, this place is amazing. From the outside it looked like a tiny house so I couldn’t imagine what I’d find, but we went in and met the nicest people. They immediately gave us samples when I told them it was our first time there and I was hooked on the first bite of their amazing cheese bread! The owner then brought out some of his amazing«dulce de leche» to put on the bread. WOW! I’ve never had anything like it! Bought some bread(baked and frozen for later) and the dulce de leche plus guava. I will definitely be back. They make a lot of delicious sandwich and food items too that I definitely plan to go back and try!

Drive by almost every day. Place never appeared busy and i didn’t really know what it was. Finally stopped in. What took me so long! Eveyone super friendly. Great selection of sandwiches. We went for ham, egg, and cheese. Fantastic. Only five seats aat a counter facing the window, but no problem getting two seats. Enjoyed our sandwiches. All the while a constant stream of customers — mostly repeat cstomers. Also got some frozen roles to go. We’ll be back and soon!

Drove 45 minutes per my sons recommendation. When we arrived you are immediately greeted by the great smells and friendly staff. Had the stuffed pork sandwich and it was great! You cannot tell it is a gluten free item. Worth the drive, we will be back.
