Really overrated. I’m originally from NYC where the bakeries are top notch. Had moved up here and checked out the Goodie Shoppe quite a few times. Some of their cakes were alright, nothing out of the ordinary though; good for the occasional birthdays and whatnot. But basically this places leaves much to be desired. Average at best, and a spot for the 50 and over crowd to hang out.

Wow, first review! I suppose the people of 6812 are too busy shoveling snow to write reviews! ;) Many years ago, I used to work in the shopping center that the Goodie Shoppe is located in. A wonderful, small-town bakery. Mark, the owner, always greeted me and let me in on the tasty things he was baking for the day. The coffee was good, as were the creampuffs and the muffins! The bakery is cozy enough to sit in and greet all the locals who came in. The made-to-order cakes are to die for! So, here’s a shout out to my friends at the Goodie Shoppe. From an old friend from the now-extinct NewMil bank.

I went to the Goodie Shoppe after seeing their ad in the local paper and I was really disappointed: The ice cream was old and didn’t have a very good taste, the hot chocolate«made from scratch» is actually swiss miss hot coaco and the free cookie offered if you buy the hot coaco is nothing better than a stop and shop cookie that comes in a box with 100 other cookies and costs a dollar. Will not come again unless they make some changes.
