One of our favorite local places to eat. My personal favorite veggie burger of any restaurant in CT. Lots of variety on the menu. Only knocking one star off for noise level/music being too loud talk at times, and a little overpriced on certain menu items.

Extensive menu, very good food. There’s something for everyone. I like that all the booths give you privacy. Good for after work, good for the family, good for couples. An all around good choice.

Our waitress acted like she had no idea what she was doing. She was practically whispering. Our food came. All of our French fries were very cold, my sandwich was so salty it was not eatable. The waitress also forgot little things like sides of mayo, lemons, butter. I won’t be coming back. I was not impressed.

Disappointing experience. With my 14 yr old for a date. Told had to sit outside cause they were full. A bit chilly. Ordered one appetizer and dinner. Ordered appetizer at 630. Came out at 7. Asked to go in as we were freezing. We’re seated inside and dinner came at 722(hamburger and club sandwich). Fries were only warm. Didn’t get condiments with burger. Asked three different servers. Went to kitchen myself. Finally got condiments but burger no longer hot. Totally disorganized service multiple servers come to table and really loud. While no one would check on us during our dining experience they were quick and attentive on bringing the bill and asking for the credit card. I will continue to go to the one in Southbury but won’t come back here nor would I recommend it. I gave 2 stars as the food was okay just cold.

Food was good, server was nice. I was however very turned off when our server picked up a dirty soda straw off of the floor and placed it on our table while I was still eating. It was clearly not our straw, as we were not drinking a Coke or Pepsi. Either way, it shouldn’t have been put on our table. I was grossed out. Updated review on March 28th. after our last visit, my son still wanted to go here for his birthday and use the private golf room. So, we booked it in advance and invited family to join. Everyone was super nice. HOWEVER, the waitstaff was short handed. It was frustrating and I did everything within my abilities to make it easier. But, after a while, it got super frustrating. I was bussing our rooms, I was writing down our orders, so when our waitress came back, everything would be easy. I wanted my sons night to be perfect. I rented the room for 1 ½ hours. We used the simulator for 2, because a few times it froze. I totally get they were short handed, but I booked this in advance and I feel that they should have had enough people to assist. There was a trainee that tried to help where she could. We must have walked back and forth to the restaurant side 4 – 5 times to find someone to help us with drink refills, getting the check, a problem with the check, ordering apps, dinner(hence, why I took everyone’s order and when she came, I handed her the papers. Perhaps a better system in place. Something. Everyone was nice and apologetic, but that doesn’t make me want to run back there.

We strolled up to the side entrance by the bar, a sign informed us that we should use the main entrance so we don’t let the cold air into the bar. Walking is hard so we said«f it» and burst into the bar, frigid cold trailing in our wake. We were the Arctic breeze. The menu is as thick as a Hemingway novel and about as interesting. I settled on fish n chips. My gf got the Cobb salad. Little known fact Ty Cobb, baseball player extraordinary and world-class racist, invented the Cobb salad while sliding into third base with a head of romaine lettuce stuffed down his pants. The food was good, and served quickly. Our server, the bartender, had a funny hair bun. She ended up eating dinner while we finished our food. It was weird walking past her as we left the bar. Should we say something to her? She’s technically on break so I decided to let her enjoy her meal as I pondered her hair bun. I would go back there again mostly to blast the patrons with cold air from the side door. My god it’s a hoot.

We had the craving for the best burger. My craving started with two orders of onion rings. Followed by classic burger, sweet potato fries and a thick chocolate shake. The shake is banging. After I devoured my food. I left with a tight stomach and a smile.

The food here was good. But the menu is like a book. There is just so much to choose from it’s daunting. I was leery about the range of stuff they have from American to Asian. But all in all it really wasn’t bad.

Love this place. Have been there a million times and almost never had a bad meal. I’ve had lots of delicious meals here and the menu is very large. They have great martinis — try the ginger pumpkin martin around Halloween. Atmosphere is really good too. It’s a big place and has a nice bar with a couple of TVs. Can’t go wrong here.

OK. I know Maggie’s gets a few low reviews, even one scathing writeup from a dear friend… but I’m giving it 5 stars to offset the bad. So no doubt, the menu is gigantic.(The selection rivals a casino buffet) And agreed, they can’t be good at everything. But I REALLY like those street tacos(much better than that awful, awful Don Miguels down the street). And Maggies does make a good burger. The wife loves the lettuce wraps. The beer selection is good and is updated frequently. I’m warning the owners with peace and love, make sure the bartenders top off the beers properly. The last pint I ordered was all head. I was going to complain, but it was Friday and I was f-ing tired from working all week. On a more positive note, those Back East beer can glasses are super-fresh. I’m gonna have to make off with one next time we visit! By the by, I really like the oversized red booth seats. Plenty of room for your typical obese Americans to stretch out. The booths look like they came out of a Quentin Tarrantino movie or something. Also, the restaurant plays some pretty cool classic rock and alternative hits from yesteryear. In closing, it’s odd that a restaurant called«Maggie McFly’s» has better tacos than the two Mexican joints a few doors down… but there you go.

This place has a lot going for it. A huge menu, nice atmosphere, plenty of seating, good location, ok bar and nice staff. The only reason I give it 3 is that although I’ve never had a bad meal here I can’t remember ever raving about anything afterwords either. The menu is seriously large, so if you have a large group and no one can come to a compromise on where to go this place should be top of the list. From pizza and pasta to burgers and tacos or American favorites like pot roast. Prices seem very fair and most portions are on the large size.

This place has a huge menu that gives lots of options for all diets out there(and it’s pretty good). The drink menu is vast and offers a lot of fun cocktails to choose from. My husband and I always get the street tacos and pot stickers. Both always well prepared. We will continue to come back as long as those are on the menu. The service is normally good. I must note that we’ve noticed food /trash on the floor and the wait staff stepped over it instead of cleaning it up. That was a huge turn off for me but the food makes up for it.

Food is excellent but there are to many things on the menu, portions are huge and so expect left overs unless you are really hungry

We had a great experience at Maggie Mcflys! I was able to call ahead for our party of 7 and we ended up only waiting for a table for 5 – 10 minutes on a Saturday night. The menu was HUGE! Reminded me of the Cheesecake Factory menu. There is something for everyone. You just have to take the time to read through it all! Burgers, pasta, seafood, Mexican, salads, etc. The drink menu was also extensive and our drinks were amazing! Our waitress was prompt and checked back with us multiple times throughout our meal. We were shocked with how fast our food came out! Everyone enjoyed their meals however one of the members of our party had a seafood dish come out lukewarm. Afraid of getting food poisoning he sent it back. The manager sincerely apologized multiple times, offered a soup/salad and ended taking off the entire meal completely when we got the check! I have worked in the restaurant business and I believe the management couldn’t have handled the negative situation any better than they did(I was impressed). Overall we had a very fun experience and will definitely be recommending this place to all of our friends!

I’ve been here on numerous occasions. I enjoy the patio as inside is as noisy as the meeting house in bethel. The beer is always good. I had the nachos and to my amazement they had layered it with Velveeta. Are you kidding me? I know getting the cheese to melt down deep into the chips is an art, but to be lazy and use Velveeta and think it’s OK… cmon now… I won’t be having the nachos again. It was a smaller plate too. Oh well the beer was good. I might have been wrong about the Velveeta .it could have been Cheese Whiz.

Drunken chicken strips are always awesome but the tacos, not so much. The cabbage is a great crunch but their meat seasonings were overpowered by spice and hot peppers when the menu said sweet. They remade them for me but honestly not impressed.

I ordered the Thanksgiving sandwich… Plain white bread, stuffing from a box, gravy I assume was stolen from a local elementary school, and a smear of cranberry sauce that would leave most mice wanting. In general the food is bland, under seasoned, boring, diner fare. Except diners have charm, history and character, all absent at Maggie McFly’s. I hate to say, but this is yet another example of a great looking restaurant that’s all frill and no substance.

We have had the opportunity to eat at Maggie’s 4 times so far and our most recent visit was the best. The food and service is usually good, nothing special, but this time it was above average. We had Crispy Chicken Costoletta and Lobster Ravioli. Both were very good. Our server was on point and had a great sense of humor, which we enjoyed. Also want to mention they have great Buffalo Chicken Blasts and Hot Wings. Had those on the last visit and wanted more!

Did I mention I am behind on my reviews? Bear with me. We dined here on vacation this summer. The menu was huge, and a bit overwhelming to try to decided(especially when you’re really hungry). Our waitress was excellent, and the food was pretty good. We ordered appetizers and shared around the table. My kids ordered hot dogs — which were like foot long dogs. Good stuff. If I lived in the area, I’d definitely stop in again.
