First thing Sunday morning… I think that may be the only time you don’t have to wait in line at the register. There is a lot packed into this store, but I can always find what I need. The staff are usually very friendly and helpful. In fact on my last visit I was staring at frames trying to figure out the best way to showcase my loot from abroad. They were having quite the sale on frames… between 40 and 50% off! And they have a nice selection of frames from the super fancy schmancy to the«I’m a college student with a poster of my flavor of the week» frames. One of the staff members noticed me having quite the staring contest with some of the frames and asked if she could help. I asked a couple of questions and she was very helpful and told me if it didn’t look right when I got it home, save the receipt and bring it back because even though the dimensions might be right, it may not look right. Such good advice! However, my frames did work and I got them both for 50% off!

Every now and again, I like to get my craft on. Inevitably, that means a trip to Michaels, the KMart of crafty type stores. They have it all, somewhere, but it will likely take you 20 minutes to find it. And the checkout lines can be epic on the weekends. Still, where else are you going to go for your craft needs? That’s right — there aren’t many other places to buy glitter paint, knitting yarn, bedazzling supplies, fake flowers and acres of ribbons under the same roof. So you’re stuck. One thing that makes the generally«meh» Michaels experience better is the regular coupons in the weekend papers meaning you can score some good deals. I always forget mine until I’m in the parking lot in desperate need of some supplies.
