Moosehead Lodge

I’ve been staying at this vacation rental for over six years (about 6 weeks per year, during various seasons). This is a home away from home. It’s cozy and warm (especially at Christmas!). Located in a quiet residential neighborhood, the house and yard are very quiet and relaxing. it’s only a short walk from the house to the Winchuck River and there are great beaches both north and south of the river mouth. Family-​friendly, pet-​friendly, good for large and small parties (there are actually two homes available next door to each other, a cozy one story or a larger two-​story). The owners are really great people and they go out of their way every time to make sure we have a great visit. Both of their properties are clean and well-​maintained. Also, the houses are very wheelchair friendly, as we learned when a friend came to visit. I highly recommend this rental.

Stayed here over the weekend on a family vacation. The home is beautiful and is decorated in a very old fashioned country feel. Moose decorations everywhere, obviously since it is called the Moosehead Lodge. There is plenty of space for everyone. We stayed here with a party of 19. Including 9 children. All the children stayed in the rec room. There was a huge backyard where they can run wild and nice area for our nightly bbq’s. The Oregon coast is just a small walk away. Make sure to bring a jacket, nights get cold.
