Yum, our favorite place for sixteen years. High quality unique sauces are a must try for Mexican food aficionados. The whole menu is delicious. The staff is terrific. Clean fast friendly. The décor is great. I especially love the green sauce and the red.

OK, I am a happy victim of the urge for some cheesy beany meaty stewy stuff put in some sort of flour like wrapping every once in a while.(Burgers or sushi come first!) i happen to think that NEARLY all mexican cuisine tastes the same, especially here in Brookings. with that in mind, i rate Pancho’s based on other items: the service, the tortilla chips, the prices, and the to go packaging. let me say right away that so many other places in Gold Beach and Brookings have stopped using styrofoam that it is just amazing that these folks charge what they do for such bland mexican food and can’t shell out for ‘green’ packaging. and the to-go window is a total crap shoot. i called to ask for the burrito price; was told one thing and charged quite the other. and there’s a 50 cent to go fee! try explaining to the bartender that you’d like a cadillac margarita with simple sugar and fresh squeezed citrus – whether lime or lemon – and he will stare you down like you are a member of ISIS. seriously, i think that the hype surrounding this place is just that. there’s so few mexican restaurants here, and while Pancho’s rates higher in cleanliness and ambiance, it’s all the same pot of goulash to me! swap out that styrofoam! get that to go window on point! 86 the 50 cent fee! look up the recipe for SIMPLESUGAR, believe me, it’s a simple recipe and it is soooo much better tasting and healthier than heinous Margarita Mix! get some citrus in from across the street at the fruit stand! stop glaring at people at the bar who aren’t regulars! jeez! i’ve been here nearly 3 years… i’ve given Pancho’s a very fair shake… and i find it lacking. it’s a severe case of the Emperor’s New Clothes. OH! since when does a super burrito NOT come with guac AND sour cream INSIDEIT??? Pancho’s wants .99 cents for each of those EXTRAS! and a TOGO burrito should always come in foil, right? as in, you’re starving for it and wanna eat it whilst driving! if i wanted it to be a lovely wet burrito, i’d have told you! that was the day i unwittingly spent nearly $ 10 on a dang burrito! :)

They have good food but don’t always get your order right. Especially if your going through the to go drive through. In my opinion it’s the best in Brookings so I will keep going back. Shredded beef burrito is the best!!!

Ate here twice in a two week stay because the FISHTACOS are to die for. Being from Texas we love good Mexican food, and the is the best place I town. We tried them all — almost. We judge by salsa, chips and guacamole, and this place passes the test. All good Service was splendid and all clean Didn’t mention the delicious margaritas either. Unforgettable but we had to continue on North. We would go again.

Both the food and the customer service here is top notch. My wife and I eat here every time we pass through the Southern Oregon Coast. The fish tacos are excellent as are the cheese enchiladas. Super good, highly recommended!

For the food you get and the price you pay, this is a great place. We’ve been coming here for years, expecting at least one crappy service. But, to their credit they have a great business model, good managment, very good food and drinks, and a service staff that actually cares about you and does not forget you. This has become our go-to place for good food, great service, and little to no wait time. A restaurant owner in Brookings once told me, all the cooks here can’t hold a job. They’re all on meth and they last about 2 months, then move on to the next restaurant. They cycle through, which is why it’s hard to find a restaurant with CONSISTENTLY good food in Brookings. Pancho’s has it. Whatever they’re doing, they’re doing it right.

Visiting from Eugene. Stayed in the motel across the street. I had a veggie burrito(veganized) & margarita. Yummy! It was a nice evening and we sat in the seating area outside. The place even has a drive-thru for take out, and it’s not a fast food joint. 4⁄5 stars because I liked it better when it was Rubio’s.

Sept 212015 went to lunch(3) adults. Service was awful. Food came without tortillas and had to ask 3 times first 2 times girl could not speak English. Ate tasted okay nothing to rave about a SYSCO truck was parked outside should of known. Left about a hour later made it about 3 miles down the road and my husband got horrid cramps and had to turn around and find a place for him to use the bathroom, barely made it to the Whaleshead lodge and thankfully the restroom was available. I got home and immediately 7 miles later hit the restroom and had horrid gas and cramps. About a hour later ended up not making it to the restroom. The 3rd party a few minutes ago stopped by and went for a walk with my husband on the beach and barely made it back to his place as he also got lower tract problems. Something very wrong here. I do not think there is anyone tending to the functions and the staff and cooks are left to do what they want. This is the 3rd try after several bad experiences and the last as this was not just poor quality food it was our health that it affected. Do not recommend anyone eating here or do it at your own risk.

The wife and I stopped in last night. I had the prawn lovers burrito and she had the chefs burrito. We split a plate of nachos. Delicious, everything was freshly made. You do get some chips and salsa, but spring for the $ 5 nachos, you won’t be disappointed.

Nice clean place. Food is very Americanized. Service is good I recommend this place for families with kids. This isn’t the place to go for spicy authentic Mexican food. Prices are very reasonable but you get what you pay for… The 5 dollar lunch special is just that.

We have been to Pancho’s several times and each time the food was excellent and the service was fast and friendly. Today was no exception… I had a Chimichanga and it was delicious. We’ll be back…

I love this restaurant. It has the best Mexican food in the area of brookings, harbor, smith river and crescent city with the best price. Veggie burritos are the best here. Waitresses are friendly and service is good.

My husband and I came here because I felt like Mexican for dinner and it wasn’t far from our job that we had to do that night, we ordered two appetizer’s the Mexican pizza which was HUGE and it tasted awesome! then we ordered the combo appetizer that had nachos, chimichangas, and something else I can’t remember lol, this was really good as well a lot of flavor from both apps, I ordered a pink lemonade it was good had a lot of alcohol, and then I had a Kiwi Margarita which was very tasty by the time we left I was feeling the alcohol lol, for dinner we both had two chimichangas and we both had one chicken and one pork. The apps were so enormous that we couldn’t finish dinner so we got that to go, the only problem the menu was HUGE and it was hard to decide I kept dancing back and forth because it was so big it was really hard to decide… They still deserve five stars the food and drinks were amazing they just need to knock their menu down a little keep it to two pages not four… I do recommend this place the food is really good and service is fast, they also bring out chips and salsa while you wait which are really good :-)

If you happen to find yourself in Brookings, Oregon, and you really want some Mexican food, this place just might do the trick. If you are a minor, or happen to look like one, they absolutely will not let you sit anywhere near the bar. Not even at a booth next to the bar. Never thought I would get carded just to sit at a table in a restaurant located across from a bar, but I guess there’s a first time for everything.(Is this an Oregon thing?) I was going to go with my standby of cheese enchiladas, but, when in the PNW, you should probably eat all of the seafood available to you, so I chose the prawns and scallops with rice. The dish was interesting and relatively tasty. There was no shortage of prawns and scallops and the sauce was pretty good. The dish includes tomatoes and mushrooms, as well as a few other things. The serving size is huge, as in there is enough food for two or three people. I didn’t finish all of it, but I certainly put in a valiant effort. I don’t remember the chips and salsa, so, in my world, that means they were probably nothing to write home about. The service wasn’t excellent, but it wasn’t downright terrible, either. I’ll probably never find myself in this small town again, but if you happen to find yourself in Brookings while driving up the Pacific Coast Highway and you really, really need to get your Mexican food fix — eh, why not?

Shared two entrees at lunch. First up was a grilled fish salad — an abundant amount of delicious, fresh Snapper, but served on a bed of «mixed green salad» that was really a bed of what seemed like one kind of lettuce(with a few pieces of cabbage). The second entrée was a seafood combo, which had shrimp, scallops, and snapper that was«sautéed in a spicy wine, butter, and garlic sauce, and served in a bowl with chopped jalapenos, cilantro and our special blend of spices». But what it turned out to be was the seafood mentioned served in a butter and garlic soup; not what we were expecting. There was nothing unusual about the rice and beans; very ordinary. Their salsa was excellent, and the chips were not at all greasy like many places. Service was friendly, but no one ever checked up on us once we got our meal, until we were waiting for the bill. It was a very ‘ok’ experience.
