All I know is that as soon as I walked into this place, I felt a bad vibe like I wasn’t supposed to be there. Very uncomfortable environment and very small.

Go for the food, nope ain’t got none. Go for a good IPA, nope. Micro brew, nope. How bout a bud! Yep. Just an old bar. PC stands for Pretty Cheap! A step above the 101 Bar. Easy walk to the Post Office!

This is one of two bars in Brookings at the moment so you can’t be too picky. It’s just really small and usually very crowded. The bartenders are great and they have free pool, I’m just not a big fan of the environment. They typically have pretty good live bands there but I’d recommend the 101 if you’re a little younger and looking for a place that’s less crowded and has more of a bar environment.

My favorite thing… playing checkers and sipping on a Chetco Effect cocktail. Awesome vibe, awesome bartenders, awesome good, and awesome craft cocktails. Love this place and will miss it when we leave!

Very friendly owner/bartender and decent selection of Oregon brews. Much better than the redneck joint Ken’s next door, where, if you’re not local, they don’t seem to want your money.

I’d been coming to Brookings for 35 years and had only been to the Pine Cone once a long time ago. It’s now a pretty cool place to stop and have a good quality beer and/or cocktail and/or liquor before moving on up the coast. The Pine Cone has changed into a hipper place than the tavern it used to be. It’s kind of a retro-50’s place(lodge?) that is really far older than the 1950’s. We sampled cocktails and beers and really enjoyed them. The bartenders/owners know what they are doing. The snack we had was also very good(not large). We had smoked salmon spread and pita. There is live music every night.

Cute little bar with beautifully refurbished wood interior. Bar tenders are friendly, bit pricey and they do not have a lot of regular alcohol but none the less a cool place to hang out for a few hours in while in Brookings. Live music on the week ends.

Cosy atmosphere with free pool and a variety of special events. Tasty mixed drinks! It is next to MoVino Wine Bar, Redwood Theater and MoJoes Coffee, my favorite part of town!
