7 people on floor but apparently no waiters, waitress smoking out in front on phone — read reviews and decided to skip long wait.

Extremely bland food, fried to the hilt. Service is exceptionally slow, unhelpful, and they seem quite unhappy with their jobs. But hey the view is great.

If I were just rating the food, it would be a 5. However, I came into the restaurant tonight, when it was NOT busy, and was promptly seated. I then waited at least 10 minutes with no human contact as I saw everyone around me get greeted, orders taken, and receive bread. Finally the host must have noticed me looking around and came and took my order. The«server» brought my food, which was excellent, then did not reappear to check on me until I was almost done. Disappointing.

Hi Debbie this is Chris and it was Father’s Day. I understand that it was a busy day because of Father’s Day. After almost an hour and a half, I had had a hypoglycemic attack, and the rest of my party of 8 were diabetic, we had asked the waitstaff why was it taking so long. We were told that there are other priorities up front. By the time we got our food there were a few things that were not right. I am a patient person and always optimistic. So when I give a negative review, which is hardly ever never, it wasn’t a good experience.

Do not order the crab melt!!! The fish sandwich was great. Cocktails are strong. Service is friendly.

Good food, nice view of the ocean. But the service was terrible. For the first 20 minutes we did not even see our waitress. There was only 4 other tables in the place so it seemed odd. after a while i had to ask the hostess to get our waitress. then once we had our food which did come out fast, we had to get our own condiments off the wait station. If the food was not so good i would have never recommended this place. If you have 2 hours to kill then stop by and enjoy the food. If you need prompt service. Think twice.

The place was very friendly and inviting. We both had combo platter. I asked for box as soon as she brought food as I knew there was no way I could finish. Every bit was delishious. Good service. We were early bird eaters about 5ish

Great bartender, good strong happy hour drinks. Hubby had chowder nothing special, I had the seafood basket for $ 12.50(ask for the lighter menu better prices and still plenty of food). It was good. Fudge next door is Awesome.

Can’t review the food but the drinks are good and the guy who normally performs in the lounge is excellent! Request Rocket Man if you go. Seriously the best version I’ve ever heard! He’s the reason we go here when in town. He was on vacation this trip, which I’m sure is due, but I am SO disappointed!

We were staying at the hotel across the street so we came by Sebastian’s one very stormy evening to get a few drinks and take our food to go. The view of the ocean is great with big windows and large booths and tables. Service was a bit slow for Wednesday night around 7pm, but the restaurant was packed full with guests. Our burgers were very large and so was the side of fries. They did the job of curbing our hunger and the drinks helped take the edge off the day of driving.

Spectacular view and beautiful location. Very nice menu, but pricey. The salmon pasta was nice but does not come with bread or toast. Huge portion of pasta with small comparison of salmon. The crab cakes were good, but cake size verses amount of actual crab was disproportionate. Bread bowl of clam chowder was common nothing unique or special. Service was great and the great wine list. Not a good value. Price for the amount of food just doesn’t work for me. Paying for the view only

Good food, friendly service. We come in a group weekly, so they put us in a room in the back all to ouselves. $ 8.00 for a senior breakfast, plenty of food.

Wait staff was excellent. Especially enjoyed our server. We were sat in the lounge because window booths were taken. We should have taken the table offered. Apparently live music was happening in the lounge area and we were half way through our meal when it started. It was a keyboard player with drum machine. Horrible. And the food wasn’t any better. Prime rib had no herb rub. And nothing was seasoned well. Which was unfortunate for a 30 $ plate. Vegetables were very plain and husband said his rice tasted like it was made earlier in the week. Menu needs updating as well as the rest of the place

Rather expensive. Food mediocre. Have had much better food on the Oregon Coast. Service not good for the price of the dinner.

I read some of the previous reviews about Sebastion’s and was hesitant to bring my family there for lunch(nine of us), but it was right across the street from the hotel so I took a chance. We were greeted by a friendly young man who took us to our table with a wonderful view of the coast. Our waitress was equally friendly and took our food orders promptly. I had a cup of clam chowder which was thick and delicious, and a fish sandwich that was also good. The rest of my family had various items that they said tasted very good. While the rest of my family went to the casino my brother and I returned to Sebastian’s for an early supper. He had a bowl of clam chowder and I had the chicken Caesar salad. The chicken was cooked just right and the dressing was the perfect amount. I will definitely come back to this restaurant the next time I’m in Brookings.

Took my wife there for breakfast on her birthday, so was expecting a good time and good food. Wrong. They served really offensive eggs which neither of us ate after one bite. Think they were powdered eggs. I mean really. The bacon was very thin sliced and virtually tasteless. The hash browns were just greasy, nothing else. They were ok after burying them in catsup. We ordered English muffins crispy, but they came soft and only warm, not crunchy at all. The kid who sat us was slow with water and coffee. But the lady who took over was very good, paying attention. Too bad she wasn’t the cook. And the prices were way too much. So, for breakfast in Brookings, we will go to Mattie’s from now on.

The food was horrible, everything was over priced, and did I mentioned the whole next day I spent in my hotel room throwing up from food poisoning!

Overpriced menu… food is not so good. Only nice thing about this place is the view, if you get a seat by the windows. The five or six times we’ve come here(we’ve since stopped eating here), the staff were hit and miss. One time we had an overly friendly waitress, who wouldn’t leave us alone and was obviously fishing for tips and a pat on the back. OMG she was annoying!!! The next time we just couldn’t get anyone to even bring us water… sigh…disappointing. Food reminds me of a greasy spoon meets ally pub fare. We live here and don’t like having to give bad reviews of our own restaurants, but for those of you who depend on apps like Unilocal for guidance when traveling, it seems only fair to give honest advice on where to eat, sleep, and play.

For such a pricey restaurant, the food was okay. The place is small and with a nice view, and the staff was courteous, if not semi casually dressed. Clam chowder was good, not great, having very few small chunks of clams, and reminding me of a good quality store bought can of soup. Fish and chips was good/okay, batter on the fish not heavy, the fries were standard, yet the coleslaw was blah sadly. I may come back here, but only after trying some of the many other seafood places around here.
