Whaleshead Beach Resort

Stayed in villa B-​8 that has a 70″ 4k Ultra Smart tv in the living room w/​two theater chairs, a 55″ Smart HD in the bedroom (just like being in a movie theater!) w/​Netflix and Amazon Prime movies/​tv free, 60 mps internet, a keyboard/​mouse and color multi-​function laser printer, S/​S convection range, cool foam mattress, and wall to wall Berber carpet… all new in 2015… this is the nicest private villas on the Oregon Coast! When it was smoky and hot elsewhere, or foggy in Brookings Harbor, the weather here was spectacular. Located in the heart of the Samuel Boardman state park with some of «the» most awe inspiring coastline in the world, hiking, fishing, boating, kayaking, surfing, swimming, rafting… it is all within 20 minutes, including Gold Beach and Jerry’s Jet Boats with their world class 104 mile Rogue River adventure… staying at Whaleshead should be on everyone’s «to do» list more than once! Nice staff too! And the restaurant food was delicious, waking up and having breakfast overlooking Whaleshead Beach… heaven on Earth! New owners early 2015 have done a wonderful job, remodeled lobby, restaurant open, beer/​wine/​snacks too w/​o the 7 minute ride to town… perfect vacation or home office while on the road.

Whaleshead Inn what a disappointment, my son got married on the sept 6. we booked 3 night stay for 9 people my girls traveled from spokane with there families. The place looked ok first but after we were there we notice dirty dishes in the dishwasher, all 3 ceiling fan blades were black and had cobwebs hanging on them, spiders in the corners of every room, the furniture was filthy and the floors were just bad and my grandbabies were crawling, that is how we found the floors were gross… we go to check out and we told them what the place looked like she said she would tell the manager and would call me tomorrow. That never happened! Won’t stay there again! So save your money and go somewhere else!
