Had the red curry with the chicken and the tofu pad Thai. Excellent. The best I have had. Delivery was prompt. Will be a repeat customer.

I have been on a bit of binge lately ordering food togo and decided to give this place a try. I ordered a couple of dishes since I had a GrubHub coupon and decided to go with two of my favorite Thai dishes – drunken noodles and pad thai. The drunken noodles were decent, but didn’t pack as much spice and flavor as I was hoping. The dish had a ton of veggies and even shrimp, but the sauce just didn’t hit the mark I was hoping for. The pad thai on the other hand was very good, and the house-specialty breaded chicken provided a nice bite with the noodles. I also liked that the peanuts in the dish were not overwhelming, but provided a nice texture to the dish. Overall, the food here was decent and the portions are generous. Also, the staff was friendly and food was prepared quickly.

I ate here for the first time today. Don’t let the plan takeout-joint appearance fool you. The meal I ate was great! Crispy Chicken Basil. It was as good or better than a meal I’d order in a Thai restaurant. Want to go back to try other dishes!

Nice, quick service. Small seating area. Seems like it’s more convenient to take out. The pad see u was a little salty, but otherwise quite good. The night that I visited, they also had a special curry and rice dish– crispy duck and Penang curry. The flavors were good, and the duck was tender. It could have used more curry sauce and a few more vegetables though. They did give a generous portion of rice. Nice little store, friendly service, and pretty decent prices. The two dishes came out to be $ 25.

Great Thai. Best crab rangoons I’ve had in the city(tried them at several places in close proximity). They are folded in half moons and are heavy on the filling.

Pretty much the only problem with this place is that it’s so good all other Thai doesn’t compare.

Ordered on a Friday night for delivery. Took about 20 – 30 minutes which is fine for delivery. However they did not include any napkins, silverware, chopsticks etc. The food was being delivered to a hotel at 8 p. m so it’s not like these were commodities we had lying around our room. It posed a problem to say the least considering we ordered Pad Thai. We finally got that resolved-and ate. The Pad Thai was pretty good, could have been better and I’m sure it would have been fresh, but after delivery time and trying to hunt down down thing to eat with… The crab rangoon is kind of a joke. They’re more like cheese filled empanadas but still very crispy. Overall the food was a little above average except for the crab r. and for delivery it was pretty quick and still warm when it arrived.

I ordered delivery. Great Thai iced tea. Mediocre crab rangoons. Crispy, but mostly cream cheese. Terrible pad Thai! It was overbearingly sweet, overcooked pad Thai noodles, and chicken was very flavorless. Maybe I didn’t order the right thing, but a bad pad Thai is a sign that the other food is probably just as bad. Steer clear, rod Dee, phở and I, etc are way better.

Such a cute little Thai take out restaurant that’s decorated warmly enough and clean enough that I wouldn’t mind sitting down at one of rhe few glass tables for a casual lunch or dinner. The staff was very nice and friendly. I believe they spoke Thai, but their English was fine. There are photos of dishes on the wall so you can tell what the dish is even if the name is in Thai. The prices are reasonable as well, generally $ 8 – 10. I ordered Tom Yum Noodle Soup, which was delicious and authentic, as far as I could tell. Recommended no frills Thai food.

Great place to go with kids for Thai and patio dining. Yummy food and they will custom make noodle dishes for picky little ones. Also enjoy the Thai tea and friendly staff. Excellent for take out as well.

Best Thai food in Allston/Brighton! I usually order the crispy chicken pad thai and the crab rangoons and they are so good! I have tried ordering from other places in the area but nothing compares, the delivery is fast and the food just tastes so much better. When I order from other places the food is either soggy, cold, or not what I ordered and I have not once had this problem with giggling rice.

Wasn’t this Thai restaurant«Spice of Brookline» at one point? Interesting name change. Giggling Rice took over the space that was previously the Korean restaurant, Han River. This space is more modern and cute with the giggling rice mascot, but still small so not a place for big groups. Good for take-out. Food is only okay. Everything is a bit too mild and sweet for my taste: tom yum, pad thai, thai iced tea. Tom Yum soup doesn’t have that really good pungent spicy and sour thing going, pretty bland. Pad Thai, again too sweet. Pad Kee Mao was good, but asked for extra spicy, and they just added condiments to the side so the flavor doesn’t really get cooked into the dish. Som Tum was not good, too bitter and tasted only of fish sauce. The rice dishes like Pineapple and Country Fried rice are solid here though. Curries are also really good! People who work here are very friendly and helpful with recommendations. I say a good place for convenience because it’s right off the St. Mary’s T stop, but there are more authentic and flavorful places in the vicinity for Thai.

I was taking a walk down beacon street with my sister when I saw a cute little Thai take out. I ordered the fried rice and mango sticky rice. It was delicious and the price was reasonable. The staff was friendly and the food came out really fast. I will come back and try more food.

Pad Thai with chicken was pretty good. Do not recommend adding the Broccoli for $ 1.50, as they add literally 4 pieces of broccoli. Delivery took 45 minutes which is how long they said it would. Food came warm. Didn’t come with chopsticks, but luckily I have my own… Reasonable prices. Just not for the add ons in my opinion.

Amazing food for the price! I ordered the pad thai and it was super delicious. Great mix of flavor and chicken was excellent. The order ended up being a heaping plate of pad thai that was probably enough for two full meals. The food quality and excellent outdoor eating make this quaint place a must eat.

i had never heard of giggling thai, but it will definitely now be part of the rotation for delivery. i highly recommend the crab rangoon, crispy on the exterior and stuffed with a nicely textured, flavorful cream cheese and crab mixture. my entrée was the seafood pad ped and i was happy that it was decently spicy and full of shrimp, scallop, calamari, and lots of vegetables. my husband got chicken pad prik which was slightly less spicy but had a nice savory flavor. prices are great, food is fresh and arrives quickly.

I have a few issues with Giggling Rice, and they are as follows: 1) They make delicious Thai food. I’m talking on point, mouth-watering, constantly craving Thai food. I’m a sucker for red curry chicken, and they make a mean curry. It’s not too spicy, but it has that perfect flavorful kick that I love. Not to mention their Thai iced tea is refreshingly sweet and I drink it like it’s water. I never used to crave this cuisine until I started ordering from Giggling Rice, and now I need to have it once every other week. At least. That brings me to second problem… 2) Their prices are so darn reasonable! Whether you’re ordering take-out or getting delivery, it doesn’t result in buyer’s remorse. HUGEPROBLEM! Affordable, delicious food just makes me want more of it… frequently. And therein lies my third problem with Giggling Rice… 3) They deliver. Yes — they deliver. UGH! As if it couldn’t get any worse. Granted, it would probably take me about ten minutes to drive there, but there are those nights when all you want to do is eat Thai food in your pajamas/underwear while watching Netflix, and Giggling Rice allows me to take full advantage of that first world luxury. Moral of the story: if you’re in need on some delicious Thai cuisine that’s quick, authentic, and fulfilling, Giggling Rice is the place to go!

After an arduous study session, my buddies and I trotted over to order dinner to go. My tummy had been grumbling for far too long, so I spent $ 20 for a truckload of food — tom ka gai, papaya salad, and drunken noodle. The papaya salad was crunchy, spicy and delicious, while the soup was a little too sweet but had a hearty helping of shrimp. I got a large portion of drunken noodle, so much that I had lunch leftovers for the next day! A great deal all around. I recommend this joint for students.

This establishment clearly does not know how to conduct business. I ordered from them at 7:20 pm on a Sunday with delivery estimated at 8:20ish. I figured since it was a busy night, it was possible to take that long. At 8:20 pm, I got a note saying delivery was going to take until 8:54. I contacted GrubHub to find out why it was going to take roughly 1.5 hours from ordering to get food. They contacted the driver and found out it was going to actually take an additional 25 minutes! Not only did they not update my delivery time until 4 minutes before my food was supposed to be originally delivered, they were going to extend it and not tell me! By this time, it was already 8:38 pm and too late to order anything from anywhere else. This place clearly does not know how to do business. They knew they were going to be busy and rather than be transparent with their customers, they lead me on the entire time. Do business somewhere where they know how to care about customers. Negative 5 stars!
