Goldfarb & Goldfarb

My husband and I have been patients here for several years. In fact, my husband hadn’t gone to the dentist for many years before visiting the Goldfarbs. Now, we’ve moved away from Brookline, and my husband, once terrified and totally avoiding dentists, now refuses to see anyone but Daniel Goldfarb and his hygienist there. The top notch service and excellent patient-​focused support really makes an otherwise challenging event more than tolerable.

I went to Goldfarb & Goldfarb to get my teeth cleaned a few years ago on the strong recommendation from some friends, and I will never, EVER return.
I was lucky enough to have had fluoride treatments when I was kid so after 30 years on this earth I still have not had a single cavity. However after about 5 seconds in Dr. Goldfarb Jr’s chair he insisted that out of the blue, for no apparent reason, I now had not one, but TWO cavities! Whoa, Whoa, WHOA!!!
I quickly made an excuse to get the hell out of there while he and his assistant were getting the tools ready to drill out my teeth. Even as I was out of the chair and walking out of the room he was telling me to «sit down, this will only take a minute».
When I got home I told my friends about my experience and booked an appointment with childhood dentist, and here is what I learned:
1) My friends told me that they too had never had a cavity before seeing Dr. Goldfarb (jr), and since they started seeing him? They now have had around 18 between them.
2) My regular dentist confirmed my suspicion that there was absolutely nothing in my mouth that any dentist could possibly construe as a cavity.
Long story short, unless you have Münchausen syndrome find a different dentist, other wise these guys are a great fit!

This is a well-​run expert dental office. I mean EXPERT!

From the website, support staff, equipment to, of course, the dentists, this is the place to go if you have trust issues with dentist. Dr. Daniel Goldfarb (the son) has excellent chair-​side manners and a warm, kind personality.
Things I was looking for:
1. dentist available within next two weeks — was able to schedule an appointment in about a week
2. dentist with excellent professional credentials — Drs. Goldfarb are both teaching at Harvard
3. dentist within my insurance network (Delta Dental)
Things you should know:
1. cleaning, x-​rays, and exam for about $ 300+
2. very pleasant office and staff
3. limited service — cleanings, fillings, etc, but no root canals, crowns etc

Dr. Goldfarb is the best. The staff is excellent; friendly responsive and top notch. The follow up they provide patients is better than any doctor I ever had and better than most companies.
He spends time with his patients and explains everything he was doing and what he was looking for. I had several cavities to fill and they were prompt and flexible with scheduling and the filings were quick and painless.
