Went on a Sunday night for dinner. It wasn’t quite what I expected walking in, empty with a few people at the bar. The atmosphere was a little strange and quiet but the waitress was very nice. Food was overall good, nothing special but everyone enjoyed their meals. I had the turkey club which was better than average. Fries were ok. Overall a decent place for a quick bite and a few beers. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back but definitely nothing wrong with the place. The food was the reason I gave 3 stars instead of 2.

We loved it here! The bar tender/owner was incredibly friendly and fun. Beers are great, and food is really good. They’ve got all the typical Pub food ud expect and then some unique specialties. Has a real local feel to it as well which is nice, especially considering its in Brookline.

Horrible food and horrible attitude. The waitress recommended the turkey dinner so I had it. The turkey and gravy was extremely salty and the butternut squash was a scoop of mush unlike any butternut squash I’ve ever had. Only edible thing the baked potato. When I told her it was bad she said«we sell a ton of this. You just ordered the wrong thing» I said I host thanksgiving and have had many turkey dinners. She huffed away Instead of apologizing. And charged me full Price. I couldn’t wait to get away from that hostile place.

A small unassuming bar, perfect for a meal and a pint. Living in Brookline for the past few months, its one of those spots where its convenient because of its location, but also really nice because of the environment and nature of the bar and the patrons that frequent it.

The Corrib, located on Harvard Street in Brookline, has amazing food and great people. I’ve been going here for a while and the people who work there are awfully nice and you really get to know them and connect with them. It’s not one of those generic bars or sports bars where no one knows you. When i walk, they know what we want to drink and where we want to sit. That’s hospitality 101!!! Come to The Corrib.

This is one of my favorite bars ever. If you just want a regular, normal, quiet place where you can grab a beer or two and watch the red sox or pats play, this is the spot to be. Bars in Allston are great and all but its always the same scene. College kids trying to get drunk, recent college grads who are stuck in their college mode, immature hippies… you get the idea. I’m 25 years old and I would like to think I got some more fun left in me. But life goes on and we all have to grow up at some point… This pub is great for people who want to just have some quality time and enjoy watching sports without the screaming and yelling.

Looking for a divey bar in Brookline can be pretty tough to do. Ok, so this place isn’t exactly divey but has a lot of character. I passed by and looked through the window and saw a bunch of older folk sitting around the drinking hole. What really caught my eye was the cutest old man bartender I have ever seen. I sit down, and he comes over I can barely hear what he was saying to me– not because the bar is loud because it’s not– but his sweet sweet words fell out of his mouth in a dull whisper. His sweet nothing’s ended up in me getting a glass of wine — filled to the rim my friends for a mere 6 bucks. Highly recommend this place for the view of the grey haired man behind the bar– it’s worth it.

Recently visited Boston and dropped by The Corrib Pub on a Saturday lunch, as it was near my hotel. Met an associate there and the waiter was great! I had the wings and burger with fries which was good food! Craiggers had the garden salad with chicken and didn’t even complain, which he is prone to do quite a bit!(He can be a tricky little you know what especially when he’s moody). I will be back again but without Craiggers!

Real authentic Brookline local restaurant/bar. Emphasis on drinking. Great selection of beers, televisions and nice and warm inside. Good food cook in traditional American style. Wholesome.

The food and beer are inexpensive. It’s nothing great, but a good place to have in the neighborhood. You can’t split the check once the server enters your items in(so they say) so ask for separate checks up front.

Stopped in to catch a Red Sox ALCS game with a small group on a Thursday night and a waiter acted like finding a spot for us was a major inconvenience and out of the question. There were tables/booths on the restaurant side, but this guy wanted nothing to do with us. So we went back to the bar side, cobbled together some seats and made due. Bartender was friendly if a little scattered. I mean, we had some beers. We watched the game. It was fine. It wasn’t overtly crowded. It was in walking distance of where we were staying. Those are the reasons we stayed and didn’t go elsewhere. It’s in a residential area and there aren’t a lot of other bars very nearby, so I think a bit of apathy about«well I’m already here» serves this place well.

Really laid back, town-ey Irish pub. I’ve been here a few times I think the 3-star«A-OK» is a good description of how I feel. The food is decent, I’ve had the nachos(not great, not really home-made) and the corned beef, which was good but the sandwich in general was a little dry. The waitress was friendly and timely and the place was clean pretty quiet since the bar is separated from the dining area. Not my favorite place, but a chill casual establishment is never a problem.

Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Corrib, what happened?! You change the menu and everything gets more expensive and now $.50 charge for takeout?! WHY!!! I miss my turkey clubs w/tip for $ 10 to go. Now it is like $ 13 :-(Sad. The clubs are now $ 9.99 instead of $ 8.99 which is a fair increase but they now charge $.50 for takeout… lame. So, w/tax my turkey club is over $ 11 and we are talking like $ 13 if I want to tip. Sigh. This deeply disappoints me. Also, the nachos = not so great. I tried them and they were definitely constructed from canned ingredients(Trader Joe’s wholly guacamole anyone!!! — which I do not like). Chicken fingers and turkey club are still good and they still do have cheap bear. But, I miss my cheap turkey clubs! Also — they need to salt their fries more, please.

«Is this seat taken, madam?» I inquired of the young lady seated at the bar. She shook her head in the negative, silently and without eye contact. I took off my jacket and shook off a few lingering snowflakes. The young lady’s cold demeanor could not dampen my robust spirit, having just come in from the bitter cold evening and expecting the pleasure of a fine beer and hearty meal. «What’ll you have?» Asked the bartender in a mottled Irish accent. He was an older gentleman, white-haired and thin, almost frail. His quiet and serious manner contained a sharpness, no doubt useful after years of dealing with his customers’ idiosyncrasies, and drunkenness. I ordered a Guinness and clam chowder. Just then the news flashed a story of a rogue meteorite which blasted windows out of buildings in Chelyabinsk, Russia. Shaky videos captured the astounding event, with mind-numbingly mundane glimpses of life in the Siberian winter, interrupted by the light and fury of a cosmic missile attack. My mind reeled with the possibilities– could this be the harbinger of chaotic happenings? Fire and brimstone from the heavens and all that? The end of days? Probably not. The story about the meteor ended, and the bartender changed the channel to a hockey game. No one seemed to notice much. I was content to ponder the fleeting nature of life on this planet and try to enjoy my Guiness and clam chowder, which I did.

Went to watch a football game; won’t be going back. Bartender refused to turn any of the TVs to the game. Four TVs, wouldn’t switch one to the game we were asking for. Drinks are expensive. Food is subpar. Only reason to go is because its less crowded than most of the area’s bars. There’s a reason why that’s so. And if I can’t even catch the game, what’s the use? Not going back. Unless you like overpriced food, pushy waitresses, and a bartender who can’t keep up, I’d suggest you steer clear as well.

The Corrib Pub is not chic. It’s not like anything else in Coolidge Corner, and it’s not somewhere you’d take a girl on a first date. So why four stars? It reminds me the«true» bars in Pittsburgh, where strangers sit at the bar watching football and talking to each other. Food and drinks are cheap, service is friendly & there’s no pretension. The Corrib Pub seems totally okay being itself, and I respect that.

The Corrib has my heart. I go here during red sox season to cry and drink Miller Lite on tap for $ 3.50. When it’s not red sox/crying season I honestly go to read a little and drink. Generally I’m the youngest person at the bar and the only female there alone. So it’s fun for me, no creepy drunk guys in cargo shorts and caps. Just local dudes who stay on their side of the bar and chit chat with the bartender.

It had been nearly 20 years since my last visit to the Corrib Pub, so I wasn’t sure what the other night’s experience would bring. If anything, the place has gotten better with time. Fast and friendly(though not obsequious) service, quality pub grub(nothing fancy — burgers, fried fish, chowder and some grilled meats are the norm) that hits the spot at ridiculously fair prices. Unpretentious. Might not be to the liking of the trophies-for-everyone generation, but to adults who work for a living and appreciate a cheery(though not cloying) place to unwind, or reconnect with old acquaintances, etc., it’s tough to imagine a better place than the Corrib Pub. For those reviewers turned off by the abundance of middle-aged or older clientele, most of Greater Boston is your oyster already. Your«house» music and apple-tinis await elsewhere! And mommy’s always just a text away. And, yes, you are special, OK?

So so cheap. Perfect divey/local pub to casually grab a $ 4.50 Stoli tonic. Just be mindful of the old man regulars and elderly old-school bartender, and you’ll be good to go.

2.5 stars Another stop on Marathon Monday– my boyfriend and I decided to grab a late lunch at Corrib Pub in Coolidge Corner. A very old-fashioned and casual atmosphere. The bartender Frank knew what he was doing, and he was very efficient. Both my boyfriend and I had a cup of clam chowder, which wasn’t too thick(which I like). I had the boneless buffalo chicken tenders, and he had the fish n’ chips. I wasn’t blown away by the food, but it’s just run-of-the-mill pub food anyway. Nonetheless, this may be a nice place to grab a couple beers with friends because their bar area can fit a decent crowd.
