Tiny World Child Care

We visited Tiny World after our nanny unexpectedly quick and we were desperate for childcare options. Tiny World staff was very prompt in responding to our inquiries and set up a tour for us the very next day. We enjoyed the tour, which helped dispel some of our concerns about daycare, and Tiny World seems like a great childcare option for families in Brookline. The only problem is that perhaps they are too popular! Their program for infants was filled to capacity and there was a waitlist, which was unlikely to see any openings for 5 or 6 months.

We love this place. I have a toddler and an infant both going there full time.
When my oldest was an infant, we visited this daycare but we didn’t choose it. We ended up going with a bigger chain, a daycare with a more pristine looking location, a little playground on site and staff that spoke English exclusively. It was a mistake. After a few months, I was turned off by the fact that while our child was being cared for ok, the teachers were kind of cold and detached, so we went to Tiny World. I love this place. The teachers are amazing. They are warm, they engage the children and truly care for them. I feel confident that my kids are loved and that they have a fun day while we work. There are a ton of parks in the area so it doesn’t matter that the school has no outside playground on site. Actually it’s better since instead of being stuck in a sad dingy playground, they can be outside visiting local parks.
The staff speaks English and Spanish and my daughter speaks some Spanish now at home too.
My husband and I are not the most trusting people. We never got a baby sitter for the first two years because we didn’t trust anybody else. We are fully comfortable with leaving our kids at Tiny World. I seriously cannot say enough good things about it.

My now 20 month old has been going to Tiny World since she was 3 months old. As she has transitioned from one classroom to the next, she still likes to visit her teachers in the former classrooms. I love that she is learning Spanish, and feel that they really do love these kids. The owners are great at giving advice («Help! How do I transition her from a bottle?!») and have even been able to accomodate us on a few extra days that I needed care, even though they weren’t my «normal» daycare days.

I have two children going to this school and they both absolutely love it. One is at the age-​under-​3-​location on the outbound side of washington square, and the other is in the Pre-​school on the inbound side. Both locations have parking for pickup and drop-​off. The whole staff and teachers and the owners have been so helpful and amazing to me and my children. They kids are kept busy with a range of activities from music to structured play sections in the classroom and trips to the beautiful parks nearby (griggs and driscoll).
