I got a call saying I won an auction but I am at work so he said he will call the next person. What a load of cap I hate stupid auctions I would have paid well over the amount of the bid that is very shady. To bad I can’t give zero stars

This is close to my dealership so after getting my car maintained, I scope out the goods at Arc Value Village. Sometimes I leave with nothing, sometimes I score big. Since I’m already up there because I’ve got to take care of my car, it’s not a let down if I don’t find anything. Wool sweaters, coats, and Pyrex ware are my mission objectives. Sewing books too, if they have them. This place is far enough from the city that you can still find a gem or two, without having to drive too far away. Bonus points: Books are generally arranged in alphabetical order, unlike Goodwill. We’ve been reading out loud the enjoyable Kinsey Millhone series by Sue Grafton and I found a bunch of them for around a buck a piece.

It’s a large space. Nothing too flashy, though. The workers had happy faces.

I’m sorry. I used to love this Value Village. Was one of my favorites and I would drive from South MPLS regularly to shop here. I live a vintage lifestyle and love the idea of finding vintage items that still have plenty of life in them rather than buying a new, lesser quality, made in China item from Target or Ikea to outfit my home. They are often cheaper, better quality, and reduce the amount of stuff we generate on this planet. Win — win, right? These guys have a good amount of it. Well, lately they have started separating it from the rest of their items. This is good! But they started charging ASTRONOMICAL prices for the items. I would have no problem paying retail at a thrift store for vintage items — it all supposedly goes to a good cause, right? But twice the price at an antique store? Three times the price it is going for on eBay including the shipping!!! Now it is just plain insulting. At least at an antique store they would repair or at least clean the item up. But Arc just slaps an astronomical price tag on it and sends it out, grit and all. I’ll handle the grit for thrift store prices. At twice what an antique mall charges, that vintage plate better clean itself!!! This is a recent change, and one that I have noticed only at this location. I hope management takes a look at their pricing. I really liked shopping here.

Excellent place to find reasonably-priced used items. Hello cute winter coat for $ 15! I’ve been ripped off here before. Wallet was taken from my purse. They’ve recently taken extra precautions, but it’s not the kind of store that will have security cameras. I recommend ladies leave their purses in their trunks and put your mullah in your bra.

This Arcs location has pretty decent selection of things. Ive bought some good stuffs from here. I once saw a pair of vintage Ferragamo shoes for only 5.99! How crazy was that? I was trying so hard to fit my feet in, but i couldnt. lol They have a separate section of better condition clothings, better brand shoes and bags. They also have nice selections of books, and knickknacks. The furnitures are gone pretty fast. One time I and my bf saw a pretty nice 6-seat dining set. While we were thinking about getting the set, it was gone. You just need to be patient and keep digging, and you will find good stuffs. Just this afternoon, I got myself a good condition Kate Spade hand bag for only 12.99. I certainly had a pretty good afternoon. :)

ARCS! You have supplied me with winter coats, sweaters, mugs, shoes, pictures of cats and my amazing lavender t-shirt that I adore. AND if you sign up for the email updates, you can capitalize on the great deals that they so frequently give all of us thrifters. Like tomorrow is 50% off all merchandise. I praise Arcs for their efficiency to get product out in the store, AND for email updates. But if your not willing to browse the store seriously, then well, i think you shouldn’t be in the business of thrifting at all. This store is well organized, but i have found many items i love in the mens section, or in the vintage section. (PS the best time to find excellent odd pieces of clothing is during the halloween time)

Now that I am too lazy to get up on Saturday and go to garage sales, I especially love thrift stores. This one is well stocked and orderly, and has nice fitting rooms. I have bought a huge variety of items here: clothing, wallet, alarm clock, lamp, coffee mugs, picture frames, buttons, a nice set of matched glasses, and too much more to list, all at ridiculously low prices. Other thrift stores are better for large furniture items, but I am glad this one is right in my neighborhood.
