Ax-Man Surplus Stores

Typical Ax man store. How can they go wrong? I love the art in the store just as much as what they sell. Sadly this location is merging with another so I will need to go there next time. Everyone there was really cool and helpful. Looking forward to goingto the merged store next time i am in the cities.

IF you’ve never been to an Ax-​Man, then your simply missing out. Just the randomness is worth going. All kinds of cool little gadgets and just stuff you don’t really need but you REALLY want anyways.

I can always find what I need here, like little small bottles with cork lids and candles. They have such a variety of everything so is fun just to be in there. good customer service as well.

Quite the interesting store! After seeing the previous Unilocal reviews talking about all the weird stuff you can find here, I decided to stop in to see what it was all about. I was slightly disappointed because there wasn’t really anything too weird (doll heads, etc.) and I was looking forward to buying some random odd stuff. However they still had plenty of interesting things in stock to look at! If you are a mechanical/​electrical type person then you will love this place; there are aisles of wiring, tubing, and tons of other materials. They also have a whole aisle of packaging supplies for cheap. The rest of the store consists of pretty much anything you can think of, from bulk marbles to Army surplus to glass beakers and bottles. And everything is really low priced! I would recommend stopping here if you are in the area and just want to look around and all the different items, and maybe buy something you didn’t know you needed!

Apparently I am now a regular here. When I was checking out today, the clerk referenced how I come in quite a bit.
I never know what I am going to find in here but it is always wacky and cool. I have purchased a Mannequin head, Army Surplus, fishing tackle, CD’s, and plenty of geocaching supplies.
The best of Axman are the unique art that they make for signs and the creations from all of the spare parts. Fun times!

Of the three Ax-​Man stores I visited this one was in the middle. It had the best signs and the friendliest staff but it just couldn’t match the University store.
There’s a clean and relatively well-​organized Salvation Army thrift shop across the street.

The Ax-​Man group’s newest addition (circa 2010) is still it’s least defined — that is, there’s no iron lung or massive decorations created from mysterious Ax-​Man merchandise. I overheard the staff discussing what that could do with some recent additions, so they’re on the right track. Another ten years or so and the décor & dust will be up to the usual Ax-​Man snuff.

I really like Ax-​Man! It’s a super fun store. They sell a lot of stuffs that you will never find anywhere else. They do have a lot of useful stuffs like some chords, screws, knots, and other stuff that I dont really know what they are and also some funny stuffs like freebies with company names on them, barbie bodies or even just doll heads. I really like how the staffs write and draw funny things on the papers and post them at several funny items.
Come to Ax-​Man if you want to look for some parts for your tools and stuff. Come to Ax-​Man if your dolls need new heads. Come to Ax-​Man if you are just bored and just want to brighten your days up walking around looking at some funny things. There are so many reasons to come to Ax-​Man. It’s always fun to come here. :)
