they’re the only ones who have vella wines except for the crappy other boxed wine who’s name i shall not mention, nice guys and very knowledgeable. i highly recommend them.

5-​L Wines & Liquors is the ONLY place to shop in Brooklyn. A friend put me on to this spot a few years back and I have been coming here ever since. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and don’t make you feel inept if you aren’t sure what you are looking for. I have tried hundred of awesome wines that I normally wouldn’t have and am know known for giving the best gifts for birthdays and holidays! (all suggestions from the staff at 5-​L.) They are open 7 days a week and even deliver locally. Def my fave spirits shop ever!

They had the wines I was looking for, when numerous other places in Brooklyn and NYC didn’t (and some claimed never existed). They also had it at the same price as I’ve paid in the past.
About the same size as any other corner store, but not overstuffed, which means a comfortable feeling in space and choices.
They know their wine/​spirits– you can talk/​ask about what to get, without their talking down to you. They might even suggest something else for you, if you are open for it — otherwise they will respect your decision.
It’s always good to have a place like this local, you can grab a last minute bottle, or planning ahead/​restocking, knowing you can get what you will need.
