Came in to have dinner with a friend. I said I was waiting on my friend, and the waitress gave me a water to start with and two menus and walked off to the kitchen in the back. She did not ask what I wanted to drink. I wanted to start with an appetizer but the waitress simply wasn’t to be seen. Almost no one was to be seen, most of the staff seemed to be hanging out in the kitchen laughing or on their phones, but just enough for one waitress be seen to take orders. I watched other people get food while I was never asked if I needed anything. I couldn’t even flag them down with my hand. I waited 30 minutes and close to when my friend showed up, I saw customers sending food back for wrong orders, the waitress crying and panicking and it just was overall sad to watch. I also watched customers go to the kitchen/​back to ask for service for their table. That’s how far gone the service is of this place.
I think like other reviewers have been saying, they are severely understaffed. There were two waitresses, but only one was coming out and it wasn’t all that busy. I couldn’t be served and service was astronomically bad, even the bartender would rather go to the back and hang out with the staff, this is not normal for a functioning restaurant, even when it’s not busy. I ended up leaving with my friend because we simply couldn’t get service and that was after waiting almost an hour with no waitress coming by to ask for our orders. I ended up going to Sunflower next door which the waiters served us right away and were a lot more welcoming and attentive.

Please save yourself the aggravation of awful service and don’t go here. The only reason there’s two stars is because the food does taste good when it comes, if it comes the right way.
I had my order completely messed twice only to result in me losing my appetite, so after 45 minutes or so of hungry aggravation, I had to cancel my order entirely and walk out. Huge waste of time. Good thing there’s a decent bagel store down the block!

I was never of a fan of amazon because of how busy it was always. But one day my friend conviced me to go with her around 1 we got there and we got a table right away which i did not except. I ordered soup and in minutes it arrived with my salad and sautéed mushrooms everything was amazing! Loved it, highly recommended!
*the dressing for the salad is great*

I really like this place a lot. Great service and awesome milk shakes. Food is decently priced and service is pretty swift. Enjoyed outdoor seating in the summer!

So my girlfriend and I stopped in one night and our experience was less than ideal. After waiting an exorbitant amount of time the waitress comes back with our food and and my friends dish is well. not what she ordered.
We stopped the waitress and and instead of owning up to the mistake she tried to convince us that the it was the same thing. It wasn’t even remotely similar. When she realized we didn’t buy it she told us that they didn’t have what we ordered so they substituted with something different. Ummmm what??? Totally not acceptable. First off if you don’t have the item come back and tell us instead of «substituting it». We probably would have ordered something else. Did I mention that the «substitute» was a few dollars more expensive?
The only saving grace was that the food was actually quite good and in exchange for keep the dish the restaurant gave us a 10% discount on our total bill.

Too bad I no longer eat pizza, because their pies were heaven. I wasn’t particularly impressed with the fish. Nor the lighting. I wasn’t on a date, but it was dark out and after a long day I just wanted a dimmer atmosphere. Plus… do something about the music. Simple tunes/​no words if you’re going to play anything. I was listening to the radio, (hello!) and it made my visit a bit uncomfortable.

The food was delicious and the portions are large. They have a nice alcahol menu. The service could be better, it took a long time till they took our orders. They also brought out the entrees just a few minutes after bringing out the appetizers, they took back the entrees and told us they’ll bring it back when we’re ready though.

After eating here I don’t know why this place has a low star rating, everything tasted great and the service was prompt. Great ambiance as well, a welcome change to the usual Brooklyn resturant scene. I will be coming back!

The 3 stars is for the mushroom salad I had, everything else was just a let down. The waitstaff served the dishes reverse and the second course became the first. My husband ordered pasta that was so over cooked he could not eat it. I don’t think we will be back.

The last two times I’ve been here I have noticed that they are severely understaffed. The tables are empty but they don’t have enough employees to serve and cleanup. The result is that you wait 30 minutes just to be seated, while staring at empty tables and the few staff running around like chickens.

Poor service with an attitude. Long wait to be seen let alone served. Rude waitress

Great food. Quick service and open late!!!
I had sushi here about a year ago and didn’t like it so didn’t come back. But now came back and had the cooked fish and everything including the sides were amazing.

I’m a sucker for a place that has gaudy décor like life-​sized, fake Palm trees and jungle murals.
I still have to try their shakes, but they look really great, and they have lots of different options.
I had the stuffed artichokes, which tasted good, but were a bit greasy for my taste. overall, I still choose sunflower, but this is a good kosher café on kings highway. I’m sure I’ll be back

Exceptional service and excellent food at every visit. Wish I lived close to this establishment so that I could get all my meals there. Lol. Only great things to say about this place. Oh and the décor is nice also.

We went to Amazon with some friends recently. It was very enjoyable. The food was good, and our waitress was helpful and very friendly.
The only issue I had was that they brought out the entrees before we were finished with our appetizers. Even when the store is crowded, you shouldn’t be trying to rush people.

I only had fries which were only average and a passion fruit smoothie that was more like a flavored icee. Overall, food is average, décor is shabby-​ish chic if that’s a thing, and service is terrible. Waited way too long for the check and even longer to get my card back. And the prices! First and last visit for sure.

In a restaurant, when you are with others, protocol dictates that you bring everyone’s food out together. Not here though. There were 3 of us and they brought the food out for 2 of us. My food wasn’t there. They started eating while I waited and waited. Aside from that, the service is lousy. It was pretty empty and I couldn’t be catered with what I asked. I had to ask for bread several times before they gave it to me. However, when it came time for the check, they were quickly available to give it with tip automatically factored in. A tip which wasn’t deserved and didn’t give.

My husband and I come here all the time and love the food and atmosphere. They also give huge portions so more likely than not, you will have leftovers to take home.

I’m sure if management gave their staff a refresher course on customer service they would have a much better rating and the place might be a little busier too!
There was a mix up with a takeout order that I placed and when I called to have it changed and if someone would be able to deliver the right order to my house, the person who I ordered from told me he didn’t have any one to take it to me and was extremely rude and condescending! So I went there and asked for my money back and much to my surprise there were about 4 employees (no customers probably due to their horrible customer service) just sitting around doing absolutely nothing, yet no one could bring me the right order?
If the person who I had to deal with wasn’t such a condescending little snot, I would have been more than happy to just get what I thought I had ordered and go on my way but I guess some people just don’t get that there are too many great places in BK to choose from to have to deal with rude, sub par service.
