Sunflower Cafe

The food here is good. We used to go here all the time. But something happened to the service and attitude of the staff. On Sunday’s we enjoyed getting their food delivered to our place. This was no problem in the past. Nowadays they want us to pay for a car service to deliver the food to us. Other days they deliver. Then they want car service again. Then they deliver again. Back and forth like this. It got very tired. When asked why one day they deliver to us and another they don’t, they say that «by the time the delivery guy comes back he’ll have many more deliveries». Well it sounds like this is the nature of your business, as well as they don’t appreciate our business. No more sunflower.

Good brunch experience. The food was 5 Stars, the service was 3. Besides the slow waitress everything else was very good. I’ll be back!

Fun during the week. The worst on Sunday. The place is clean, operated by friendly people. Fresh salad and extremely delicious bread. Whenever I am working in Brooklyn, meeting with my Jewish kosher eater grimes, and we feel hungry, I come here and enjoy healthy and delicious breakfast.
I once came here in Sunday. It was so packed that just to get a seat took almost an hour. So I learned, any day, salad, panini.

Had an amazing brunch here with my friends. We came in and asked for a table! We were told 10 minute wait. We waited and a very nice girl with glasses (I believe her name is Ariella) seated us in under 5 minutes.
While eating our brunch two women who are customers just like us, came in approached our table and asked what we were eating! RUDE!!! We disregarded them.
Out of no where the two women threw a fit that they are waiting for a table! The waitress said that she looked for them and promised a different party a table! The women sat down at an empty table and kept yelling we know the manager and we will have you fired! I don’t care what type of customer you are YOU CANNOT BE RUDE TO PEOPLE! You have to wait like others! The waitresses all behaved well and respected the customer! I cannot believe this!

We have been here twice so far and the results are mixed. The first visit the service was very good and the food was acceptable. Maybe a 3.5 star visit. Today the service was terrible. The waitress was rude. The food was okay. They could use some improvements.

So I came here for lunch. Usually do all the time. This time there was a piece of WOOD in my salad. Yes WOOD. Why there would be a piece of WOOD on food is mind blowing. So I told the manager she apologized. They compensated us by taking the salad of and giving us a piece of cake… Really though who needs a free cake almost eating WOOD. Disgusting. If it wasn’t for the nice waitress I would’ve probably walked out without paying. Oh wait best part is the manager told me she will compensate based on what she feels is appropriate. Disgusting.

This place is one of my favorites! I’ve tried plenty of dishes here and was never disappointed. I absolutely like their lemonanna drink! Anytime I’m
walking by I have to have it! Their avocado salad is really good, and I love how it comes with hot cheesy bread, but I do wish there was more avocado though. I’ve tried almost all of their paninis which were all very good, the best is the creamy panini! I constantly order the avocado wrap which never ever disappoints. When I come here for breakfast my go to is the capricio (not sure if I spelled it right) breakfast, it comes with eggs of your choice, toast with cheese, a salad, fresh squeezed juice, and a coffee or tea. Their iced coffee is on point. When I order from here, the food always comes pretty quickly. This place is always packed but I never usually wait so long. The food is fresh but the only thing that could use some work is the service. Sometimes it takes a while to get the waiters to your table because they are so busy and they are always rushing and can be a little rude.
I will always be coming back here!

The Sunflower Café offers its patrons a multitude of menu choices at a very affordable price. The breakfast menu is extensive and its serving size is more than adequate. The restaurant also provides side selections that offer a bonus to the wide selections that are available. Many locals visit this restaurant and it is conveniently located just off king’s highway.

Great kosher dairy food, service was amazing. I would deff recommend the avocado salad amazing. And they have a great selection of pasta. Over all good food. Not expensive

They have good food (Kosher) and the place is clean and nice. The only thing that bothered me was how crowded it was. It was so crowded on Sunday, that I felt uncomfortable…
Great sald, fresh and healthy. Very good Panini toasts, the way a toast should be. If not the over crowded, this place would get from 5 stars for the food. Maybe one of the best Paninis I ever had.

Sunflower is a cute local café. I like their breakfast and brunch dishes the most. The food is not gourmet but consistently good. They have a big variety of salads, Israeli dishes and their staff is always friendly.

The food was fine and the prices aren’t too expensive. I ordered the spinach and cheese ravioli but I felt it had way too much sauce, even though the ravioli was very well cooked. The place is very standard (nothing fancy), but it does satisfy the general Israeli lunch craving. Moreover, the waiters are very nice and will accommodate anything you may need. A lot of them speak Hebrew, which is a plus!

I m not Kosher but a few friends of mine are, so when going out with them we always come here. The food here is absolutely delicious! So well prepared and fresh. Never left disappointed. Great service and nice vibe to the place.

Came here for lunch with a friend who really liked one of their dishes. Been here before but ages ago and also ordered their take out a while back. The place has outdoor seating in the summertime which is always a plus. My friend loved the mushroom sauce panini along with the israeli salad. I just got their ice cream and the portions were very fair. The service was ok, some things took a while some were forgotten, but nothing serious. The staff was very nice and friendly. For what it is, it’s not a bad place and better than how i remember it from before. Improvement is always a plus in my book.

This place has great food. It’s a kosher dairy only establishment. The location itself is a little on the smaller side but does have outdoor seating as well, which is great when the weather is nice. The paninis and sandwiches are delicious, and there is such an extensive menu for it being dairy only. Their lemonade and lemanana are a must try. Prices are a little steep, however excepted since it is a kosher establishment. Service was pretty decent every time I go. Only down side is how crowded it can get.

My fiancé and I were debating where to get lunch and luckily decided to go this gem.
A little crowded but the service and food was absolutely amazing.
We ordered an order of nachos, creamy panini, and sunflower panini along with two Fraps.
The portions were definitely more then gracious.
Highly recommend this place.

Used to be a big fan of the place. And still like the food. However, I called to order lunch for delivery and was told that they cannot deliver to Ave W and West 1^st (apparently it is too far). I know they have a car, and the drive is less than 5 minutes. In the past they have delivered all the way to Ave U and East 20^th which is way further with no problem. Clearly this day they weren’t interested. Very disappointing, I guess I’ll know not to bother getting delivery from them.

Perfect place for breakfast or brunch. A very large choice of dishes and my favorites are the omelet and the pancakes. Service is always very good and the food is cooked to order so if you have dietary concerns they will make it the way you want it. I got an omelet for breakfast and it was delicious. The service is great every time and the staff are super amazing and friendly. Food is always top quality. If you never had a sandwich at Sunflower you never had a real sandwich. They make monster size sandwiches the way you want them. I love this place.

my favorite place for lunch on the highway. the dishes are expensive, but the portions are enormous, so it evens out. I recommend a haloumi salad or any of their paninis. if you’re a chocolate lover, their cake is really good. it’s a rich lava cake served with ice cream.
