Wowwwwwwwwwwwwwww that Banana Toffee kicks the hell out of any banana ice cream I know! The ice cream shop has great flavors although I would love to see more sorbet and vegan options because I love sorbet. The salted crack caramel is pretty good but very heavy on the salt so not my first choice. They have a vegan dark chocolate that I need to try next time. All other options seem pretty good but nothing worth my palate. Very good place for ice cream!

My friend raved over this place, so of course I was excited to give it a try. Ample Hills Creamery is a cute traditional ice cream shop with a large variety of unique flavors to try. Even though I’m lactose intolerant, I still sacrifice feeling sick for a delicious taste of this wonderful creamery… BUTTHEYHADVEGAN! I was very excited, but only three flavors… which is better than none. I tried about 5 samples before making a decision. The ooey gooey was by far the best, but I opted for the vegan chocolate and Nonna D’s oatmeal lace. I loved the fact that you can get more than one scoop in any size, so I was able to get a kids size with two flavors($ 3.50). The ice cream was full of flavor and incredibly rich. The only reason why I’m not giving it a full 5 stars is because I think the hype of the place got to my head. I loveddd the taste, but I couldn’t say it’s «the best» ice cream I’ve ever had(I’ve had a lot of good ice cream in my day). Pros: Great variety of unique flavors, perfect sizes, rich ingredients, and great service. They were so nice! Cons: Over hyped so not«the best» but I would still qualify it as a leading ice creamery and a little on the pricey side.

If you want to indulge in AMAZING ice cream – then Ample Hills is definitely the place to go. I prefer the location in the Gowanus at 305 Nevins St. With a terrific outdoor rooftop seating — it is ice cream heaven! Handmade ice cream flavors that often change are creamy and so so delicious. I could do with a few flavors that are more«simple» not so many crunches inside… However this place does not disappoint. Summer has long lines, they move quickly though and the staff is terrific– patient and helpful —you can sample the flavors– to help you select your choice. One of the best additions to Brooklyn !!!

I’m not big on ice cream, so while my wife rates this place a 5 I could only give it a 3. There was nothing that special to me about it and the line takes a while. Fortunately they have a kids play area to keep the kids occupied while waiting. They claimed a number of flavors, but a number of them were duplicated so they were short of their claim. I ordered the Sweet Honey, which was decent. Seating is hard to get especially if you’re with a group.

This place is usually quite busy during the summer, so be prepared. They have fantastic flavors, both creative and classic, and they do not disappoint. I have been here a few times and love every time I get to drip ice cream all over my face. This last time, I had Mexican Hot Chocolate — fantastically spicy. They let you try things out, which is great. And, you can get ice cream by the pint — so you can binge it during a Netflix binge or something. The staff has always been really good, which is amazing considering how many people are in line and how many tired parents and such they might deal with. They are always friendly, quick, never rush you, and authentic. If I am anywhere in the area, I head towards it to get myself a scoop.

I honestly don’t care if it’s 5 below. Ample Hills deserves a visit whenever you’re close by. Ice cream is something that can be pushed to the side, and get lost in the bevy of culinary options the city has to offer, but this place stands out. Bookmarked for a long, long time and with an instagram post showing their sign that they’re open on New Year’s Day, I took that as a sign that I should go. From previous glowing reviews I knew I could get a flight of ice cream, 6 small scoops for $ 8, and sample to my heart’s content. I also got another order of small and filled it up with a scoop of the egg nog ice cream and the coffee toffee. For my flight, I started calling out the names of flavors with a flourish, eager to try them all(many of those names I now forgot). And I raced home. I grabbed a cab and told the driver to step on it. Oh. My. God. This place is deserving of all the hype and hoopla. And those awards, too. Rich and creamy is the name of their game. Unique and delicious are also other names that can describe their game. The egg nog ice cream tastes unbelievably like actual egg nog– smooth, mellow ice cream with a hint of cinnamon and rum. Their strawberry and cream is also deliciously noteworthy. I tried the hazed and malted tonight, too– a velvety, buttery ice cream filled with malted chunks and chocolate bites. All incredible. I don’t know how I missed the ooey gooey butter cake! But I do know I’ll be back soon. And I’ll tell the driver to step on it.

Another ice cream on another freezing day! Ample Hills Creamery indeed had one of the best flavors in Brooklyn. So good that they also offer the star war limited edition ice cream; too bad they only do delivery/pickup for that and there’s no way of trying it out on the go… After trying for a bunch of flavors, I settled myself with cotton candy and vanilla bean served on a pretzel cone. Nothing could beat the savory flavor of pretzel with the sweet taste of ice cream! Shall I preorder the star war ice cream?

Ample Hills NY Brooklyn Prospect Heights 1pm Wednesday 14th October 2015 Five Stars If you don’t rate this place with 5 stars, I simply cannot trust your reviews. They have so many interesting and delicious flavors. They let you try as many as you want. Plus you can get two flavors even with the smallest size. I opted for Coffee Toffee Coffee and Salted Crack Caramel in a wafer cone($ 3.5). The ice cream was silky and unbelievably rich. Plus every bite of the cone had ice cream in it. The service was outstanding!
