AT&T

I will add my voice to the chorus of praise for Ari. I arrived just as he was closing for the day, but he re-​opened so that I could replace my on-​its-​last-​legs iPhone, and he went above and beyond to make sure that all my data was transferred and that I was getting the best deal on my calling plan. He worked it out so that, even with the new phone, I’ll be paying less per month going forward. Plus, we discussed our respective workout regimens. An increasingly rare human interaction in a soullessly corporate retail world.

The manager? (Ari) is very nice and personable but I was disappointed with my overall experience. I regret that I didn’t simply purchase online, instead. I went to this shop to get a newly released Samsung phone, but they didn’t have it in stock. Ari offered to order it for me, just as if I was to purchase online. I thought, OK, why not, since I’m here, right? He promised «express delivery» to arrive on the following Monday. When I looked at the UPS tracking information, it was listed as «Economy ground» or something like that, to arrive on Wed. I was a bit annoyed since either 1. he didn’t know what he was capable of delivering or 2. he flat out lied to me to get the sale. Either way, it is disappointing.
When the phone arrived, Ari had also mistakenly assigned it to the wrong number in my family plan. So I had to go to another ATT store to get it fixed. That meant going again and waiting in line to get it done.
I guess these mistakes happen, but I could have avoided headahces and I would have gotten my phone much faster if I had just ordered online.

My favorite phone shop in the neighborhood– Ari is so helpful and great!!! Really a step above others.

We had a terrible experience with the AT&T store at 6^th Ave and 54^th St in Manhattan. We called ahead to make sure they had the phones we wanted since we were coming from Brooklyn. My husband spoke to the mgr. Alex. When we arrived Alex turned us over to an employee named
Omagate. He was nice but told us that Alex said we wanted the installment plan called Next. We told him that we wanted to stay on our current plan. He started trying to sell us on why we wanted this new plan. We were firm about staying with our plan so he said ok I need some numbers for that and went in the back. When he came back Alex was with him. He began to really pressure us to go with the new plan. We were firm and he still kept trying to force us. Finally we left the store. When we returned home I did some research on stores in Brooklyn. I settled on Ari’s store at 99 7^th Ave. in Park Slope (between Union and President Sts., there are others stores on 7^th Ave so make sure you go to this one). We walked up there and saw that Ari was not there but another employee named John helped us. We told him exactly what we wanted and we got no argument, except he said he had to order the phones we wanted and they would be in Monday or Tuesday (we came in on Sunday). Also the price we paid was less than what the Manhattan store had quoted. John said he would call me as soon as they arrived. So if there is a problem when I come back I will do another review but everything looks and sounds good! Much better than our experience in Manhattan. The other folks are jerks!

I have been coming to Ari for years, he’s an honest no nonsense guy. Has helped out my family with all sorts of phone issues over the years. His store has gone from a hole in the wall to a beautiful remodeled At&t store. DO NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE because Ari always has the solution. Never any bull. Also he’s a neighborhood guy which is nice.

There are several AT&T stores on 7 Ave in Park Slope but I walk passed 3 of them on my way from my house to Ari’s. He is intelligent and honest, which is rare in the cell phone business. I learned this when my phone would not charge and the workers in the first 3 stores said i needed a new phone and that they couldn’t retrieve some photos and other data I had stored on my phone. I just kept walking from store to store until I found Ari. He said give a few hours and I’ll have a technician fix your port. 3 hours and $ 50 later, my new iPhone 5 was fully fixed and it hasn’t had problems since (over a year).

I’m sure they’re nice people and they do great business but I sat in there for 10 minutes with no acknowledgment at all. I was ready to buy an iPad air up to $ 800 and they just lost out on that business headed down the block to Best Buy

Ari and this AT&T outlet gets my five-​star rating.
He is efficient and straightforward which is refreshing when dealing with mobile providers.
It’s worth mentioning that an AT&T dealer up the street at 242 7^th Ave. tried to scam me with a «one-​time, $ 50 activation fee — cash only» on a pre-​paid sim card purchase. I ventured up the street and found Ari’s storefront.
I mentioned this $ 50 fee to Ari who was taken aback and agreed it was clearly an employee looking to scam me and pocket the cash.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS AT THE AT&T at 242 7^th Ave. (I’d post a negative review there if they had a Unilocal listing)

This guy Ari and also the guy that works under him are UNBELIEVABLY NICE !! I came to turn on ATT pay as you go and realized when it was time to pay that I had forgotten my credit card at home! Ari said, don’t worry about, just give me the cash you have on you and you can bring the balance tomorrow. What tremendous customer service! He is amazing!

Ari is really the best. If it weren’t for him, I would have switched to T-​mobile when their new plans came out. But customer service wins hands down. AT&T should know the only reason we stick with them is because of Ari.
I would say 5 stars, but often, the shop is so crowded with his devoted followers, that you have to spend quite a bit of time there just waiting your turn.
On top of being a great guy, he speaks at least 3 languages! Impressive.

Ari is wonderful. He really saved my day. I actually had just left ATT when I went in the store, desperate because I needed to unlock my phone in order to finalize my switch to a different company. Not only did he not laugh at me, but he took my phone from my desperate hands, and unlocked it! Before that, I had seen him working with a couple, and it seemed like he was very conscientious. Given the culture of service in New York (not so great), I was just blown away that someone would be so helpful even when there was «nothing in it» for him.

My phone got stolen and I went into the closest AT&T I could find the next morning. I’m so glad it was this one. Ari got me in and out of there within 10 minutes. The phone took two days to ship but he loaned me one in the mean time. Super nice, quick, and efficient!

Ari was nice enough, but we were told he couldn’t help us because an error occurred on our account… He didn’t explain further which was weird, but said that we had to go to a corporate store. It was basically just a waste of time. Why bother going here if you might end up having to go to the corporate store later?

Ari is the best. Really. I have bought many phones, from many places, over many years. It is ALWAYS a torturesome process…“would you like a screen protector, we have a sale on cases, you should buy insurance, how about really good headphones– the ones it comes with are crap” and on and on. Not Ari. You tell him what you want, you pay, he gives it to you and you are like What, no upsell? And there is no question about this stuff that he cant answer, or find an answer. Close all the other stores, and just go to this one!

So helpful almost makes forget about the crappy reception I get in my apartment. My wife and I would travel to patronize this shop.

Ari is the best. Service is excellent. He gives tech support as needed — with a smile.

The manager of this store (Ari) is really trying to run an honest business and help you out. I appreciated it very much.

Store hours are supposed to be 12:30−6 but its 1:30 and nobody inside. This branch just lost my business. Go to another store

Ari is the best in customer service. I only go to him and have been doing so for the last 5 years — I have 4 phones within my family account. He is patient, friendly and very knowledgeable. He sets things up so easily for you. Everyone in my family knows when it’s time to upgrade, we’re going to see Ari! I highly recommend this place.

I’ve gotten two phones from here and the guy who runs this shop is incredibly knowledgeable, easy to ask questions with, and no pressure. I upgraded from a simple RAZR years ago to a early gen smartphone, not an iPhone, and he set it up and answered a bunch of questions I had about the features.
I just bought a Lumia 900 here and he did the same thing, answered questions when I stopped in to browse, and when I wanted to buy it, he set it up and didn’t waste my time with sales stuff. Basically, excellent customer service.
This is an AT&T store, near the intersection of 7^th Ave. and Union Street. I highly recommend using this place as your in-​store dealer.
