If use want a specifically middle eastern kosher food this is a place to go. They are open later today for the holidays, while other places are closed… yes… 1035 pm Saturday night. . the day before Rosh Hashanah.

Beware that (also known as ) has a 25% fee if you cancel your order. They hide this in the fine print in the middle of the terms and conditions on a separate page from the checkout. Meanwhile, their prominent FAQ does not mention the fee: «Can I change or cancel an order? Yes you may do both of the above. You have to call customer service in order to do either. You just have to have your order confirmation in order for them to help you.» When I called to complain one manager refused to disclose his name. Another manager Joseph Silverman was extremely defensive and hung up on me after a monologue in which he blamed me for«making an issue» of it, saying«we’re not the only ones on the internet» who charge fees, that I had no right to complain because I waited a week to cancel my order, and that I «should understand because [he was] sure that [I was] also in business». I filed a formal complaint with the New York State Division of Consumer Protection requesting both a refund and asking that their website make the fee more obvious. responded saying I should have read the fine print. They ignored the request to display it prominently on their website. It therefore seems that they intend for this fee to catch customers unaware. 1 star for the hidden fees and rude customer service.

Should have read these reviews before ordering — Everything said in the negative reviews below happened to me as well. they falsely confirm that they have everything in your order, and charge your card… and later revise it but don’t refund your credit card… they issue a «store credit»… as if i’d ever buy form them again! 2) They substitute whatever they want for other items in your order — not only switching brands and package sizes, but also making stupid substitutions like Hot Chlli Sauce, for regular table chill sauce condiment Of course they charge you for what you ordered, not for what they actually send! They ignore your delivery instructions(delivered a day early… with no advance notice… just lucky that i was at home to receive perishables. Tried to report issues with order as soon as it arrived — they have voicemail and do not pickup the phone, do not return calls and have not responded to emails. I only ordered from this place because they had some Passover items that were out of stock at Fresh Direct and other vendors. Anything available elsewhere was available MUCH cheaper from amazon, fresh direct and other kosher stores. [The Blanchard and Blanchard Chili Sauce — which they ended up replacing with a hot chili sauce is sold here for $ 7.69 bottle… elsewhere it is $ 3.99! By the way, they do business under some other site names as well, i.e., … so check the contact info /address of any of these sites before you order as it could be this same business. Likely they had to try and open under some other names because of all the negative experiences customers report.

I placed 2 orders for Passover, both times the product was not shipped to me even thought the website said it was in stock. I was told I would not be charged for shipping and I was. I called and spoke with the person who had told me I would not be charged, he said he would talk to a manager and get it refunded. During this conversation I told him I would never order from them again. He could have cared less, my business is irrelevant

This company is operating illegally and they are crooks. After waiting almost two weeks for my Passover order, and calling multiple times(and being lied to), I received my order and not one item was correct. They replaced the items I ordered with whatever they wanted, most items not even the same weight, aka less money but still charged me the full price. They refused to refund me my money and wanted me to return the items. None of the items were the correct brands I had requested. Everything was poorly wrapped and packaged. I had specifically chosen brand name items and things that were packaged to keep because I was sending them to my boyfriend who is deployed overseas. The owner hung up on me and I am currently working with my bank to do a payment dispute. They should be ashamed of their operation and I will be reporting them to the BBB. There are plenty of other sites to order Kosher goods from, stay far, far, far, far away from this. They are horrible. I am now scrambling to order new items from another site and hopefully be able to send a package to my bf in time for Passover. :(

Quick update: After calling again cause no one called me back as they said they would, I got the owner/manager on the phone who wanted me to take down my Unilocal review in order for him to deliver the missing items and replace the frozen meat with fresh. That was just shocking. What was more shocking is that I was blamed for being too restrictive(yes, I don’t like to pay for items I didn’t get, I like my meat fresh, and I don’t enjoy looking for my food delivery out on the pavement on the street after 10pm at night…) and he did not even apologized or taken responsibility for the what happened. What’s funny is that when the rest if my order arrived today — my Chala bread was frozen! Hilarious

These folks have a great franchise. The weak link is Fed Ex, their carrier. If you order, track your order carefully. Also review the order carefully before it ships. The supervisory folks try hard to satisfy customers, but sometimes, Fed Ex makes that impossible.

Dishonest and not clean. Place smells. Most shelf items have no prices posted so it leaves you wondering and guessing. I purchased a voucher from them but they wouldn’t honor it Bc they changed their name to Lavi Glatt. Very dishonest and scam like. Will not go there again. So many other great places to shop at.

Further to my earlier review, Avi Glatt did respond to my email request and provided a partial refund of the shipping fee. For that, they get an A-OK rating bump. I would have liked better communication, but they did right in the end.

The website is okay. They didn’t want to process my order at first, saying it would be delivered within 3 days! 3 days! do you know what that means??? That means I have to go out and shop at a local store anyways, exactly what I was trying NOT to do when I ordered online. I called 3 different managers, went down to the store only to find out that my order was in the NYC store. It was hard to work with them, but after an hour of screaming on the phone to 3 different departments, they were able to accommodate. Their online site is pricey though, even with the Groupon that I bought. I do NOT recommend this place to anybody who likes to work with normal people.

This place doesn’t deserve any stars! I ordered two products(two conditioners) from them, then got an email saying the order was cancelled. I then placed another order for a different type of conditioner. When I checked the tracking number they sent me after I still hadn’t received anything after 1.5 weeks, FedEx said it had been delivered to North Carolina. Too bad I live in SANFRANCISCO!!! Of course I checked on the website to make sure I hadn’t mistakenly entered NC in my address. Obviously I didn’t, but I wanted to be sure. I then called the website for answers. I literally was put on hold by more than six people(yes 6!) every time I said I’m trying to track my purchase. Finally, a man said he found my package, that I was given the wrong tracking number, and I will get it this week. Not sure how he figured all that out seeing as I hadn’t yet given anyone ANY information. Before I could protest, he hung up! Thank god I used paypal

I went to the store to buy my products, so my experience is very different. They have many different products and descent prices for this type of middle eastern food. The service was not bad. Maybe their online business is poorly run. but I never order online.

If you’re going to buy anything from these people, use PayPal so that when they don’t send you the product you ordered, or send you the wrong product, or charge your credit card more than they said they would, you can get your money back by filing a PayPal dispute. GaryK

Beware, these people are playing any dirty trick in the book to squeeze a few more $s out of your pocket. I ordered a hair cream, and since the delivery was quite expensive for a single product I decided to add to it Osem croutons. A day after I placed the order I got an email from customer service saying that since the hair cream is out of stock, they are sending only the croutons. I immediately replied that I wish to cancel the order because my whole purpose was to get the hair cream. There was no reply and the croutons were delivered. To my surprise, although the website specifically states the croutons are from Osem, they were from some other cheap brand. I ended up paying 13 $ delivery for a 6 $ product which wasn’t even what I ordered. When I finally got to speak with someone in customer service I was told there is nothing they can do. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and I was told someone will contact me within 24 hours. I am waiting over a month now…
