Perfect place for a family outing, We came with two little kids and they loved it, as did the adults. The chefs really know how to engage the audience and are great with kids. Fun experience and the food is delicious.

A great time! We went with 8 adults, and 5 kids(two who were very little.) It was a little tight, but a group smaller than that would definitely be comfortable. The kids loved it, as did the adults. Our chef, Leo, was funny, great with the kids, and most importantly… made a great steak!(All of the food was delicious.) Our waiters and our chef were all accommodating to our big group, and so friendly and helpful throughout our experience. The food was expensive, but this can be expected for 1. a kosher establishment and 2. the entertainment value provided. We would definitely return for the next family birthday/reason to celebrate!

I deeply and sincerely thank Victor Ebadi, the owner, for bringing back Hibachi for the kosher consumer. This is a dining experience. It’s a social, fun activity to do with people that are lighthearted, fun, and OPEN-MINDED. This isn’t a kosher place to bring your uptight old kollel uncle and aunt to. The food is great, and the chefs are masters at their craft. Everything is what you’d expect from Hibachi, from the flaming onion volcano, to the little Hibachi boy doll who pisses on the fire to quench the flames, to the chef pouring sake down your mouth from a squeeze bottle. I also really loved it when the chefs flung the zucchini into my mouth; I made it on the second and fourth attempts. These guys have the shtick down to an art form! The flavors of everything were spot-on, and you can taste the sake and garlic margarine in the foods. I had the boneless prime rib eye steak, with clear fried rice and hibachi vegetables, and for an appetizer, I had a small salad with my favorite ginger dressing, and the beef negimaki, which were superbly flavored. I highly recommend this place, and look forward to coming back very soon!

Food was great I must say. But portions are very small… The sushi is good too but they brought it after the steak. Which didn’t make so much sense considering we ordered it as a starter. We went 4 couples. It was a beautiful atmosphere very nice place. Although the price is extraordinary very very pricy… It was about $ 120 a couple. Plus they charged us extra $ 80 on the bill«mistakenly» because they added an extra steak. Not sure if I would come again. I think it’s a one time place to try and enjoy, but not more than once.

This place is great! I came here with my family and we ordered most of the appetizers which were all amazing. The hibachi performance was tons of fun and the food is delicious! This place is highly recommended! Will definitely come back soon!

I must say this place was a colossal disappointment. We made a 6:00pm reservation and left at 7pm when we still hadn’t been seated. We were treated poorly by the staff, and will not be going back to try again.

The Kasai experience was as entertaining as it was tasty. We were a group of 10 people — four adults and six kids — and we were relatively comfortable around the hibachi table for 8. This isn’t the kind of place you stop in for a quick bite, it’s more like dinner and a show rolled into one, with reservations required. My kids had never been to a hibachi restaurant before so watching their eyes light up when the table was ‘on fire’ was a ton of fun, and the food that resulted was all good. As an added feature, the hibachi chefs were hilariously interactive, squirting sake at the adults and water at the kids while cracking Asian infused jokes. We ordered a bunch of apps(the chicken dumplings were ok, the sushi was very good) and five main dishes(white meat, dark meat, two rib eye steaks and the lamb) to be shared by everyone at the table, and it was sufficient — no one walked out hungry or stuffed, but feeling good. The mains come with rice mixed with fried eggs and vegetables and that really tied it all together. For desert we had a couple of orders of the chocolate melt and the lemon meringue, which was a sweet way to wind down the meal, along with the sake flight of three fruity variations. Altogether dinner at Kasai was a lot of fun, and my kids want this to become a regular stop on our semi-annual trips to NYC.

Great food, great chef, small space that could be ventilated better. Went for dinner with a party of 4 and were seated with 3 strangers that we got to know. They need to get garlic added to the seasonings, desserts weren’t available and weren’t told when we placed the order.

My first time dining at a kosher establishment. The restaurant is very elegant and beautifully decorated. This is a new place so the waiting area was very crowded and hosts had hard time determining whom should be seated first. The waiting crowd became even larger and spilled in the dining area as we ate. At some point we had people pretty much standing behind us as we ate. The service was polite and our waiter tried his best, but neither him nor the kitchen could handle the full house. I also found the jokes and sexual innuendos of the hibachi chefs to be quite inappropriate and over the top. The food was good and well presented. We ordered steaks — they were masterfully prepared. Portions are quite big. Probably due to inadequate number of wait and kitchen staff our appetizers came in after hibachi and drinks were all mixed up and came in at different times. I think this was due to overcrowding rather than the lack of tying. Two stars off for poor reservation/crowd management and inability to adequately staff the dining area and the kitchen to provide a cohesive dining experience.

There are 2 aspects to Kasai. First, the food. It was excellent. Tasty, with nice sized portions. Only issue was that they told us they didn’t have any desserts when we were there. I can see being out of one dessert, but having none at all isn’t acceptable for a restaurant. The 2nd aspect is the«show». Hibachi restaurants are known for the show you get while your food is prepared. This part was a lot of fun. The chef was funny, and both the kids and adults loved it. It is a bit pricey. One star taken off because of the lack of desserts.

This is the first hibachi restaurant I have been to. We took our in laws and our 3 years old son and I can say we all had fun. We had to wait quite a bit for our chef but when he came it was fun. Each table seats 8 customers, so ideally you would go with a party of 8 otherwise they sit you with strangers, which is not a big deal though. There are maybe 5 or 6 tables total. My son found the smells a little too strong for him so be aware if your toddler is sensitive to smells this may not be the right place for him/her. Show starts with the chef putting some oil on the hot surface and create a small fire, right after he adds the rice and the vegetables and starts cutting and cooking them, while cutting the vegetables he throws pieces in the customers’ mouths, which was pretty funny. He also«spritz» sake into customers mouths, he also has a small bottle filled with water to ‘spritz’ in kids mouths. Food is a lot, not sure if you are allowed but I would share a dish. Food was pretty heavy but tasty. I wouldnt really go back for the food but highly recommend it for the experience. Do not go on a raini night and dont sit at the first table when you enter as water leaks there. Manager and owners were very polite and accomodating. Recommended.
