Really love this place. The only thing I don’t like that it’s a cash only establishment luckily my bank is across the street. I’ve ordered bagels for work and get togethers. I’ve ordered breakfast to go. I love that you will find a good amount of people having their breakfast on the weekends. Absolutely delicious food and friendly service. I’ve never had a bad experience. I’ve been going there for years :) #ilovelox

His bagel are way to big it’s kind like a roll. I really like my bagels to be less dough. Less dough less calories.

I love love love their bagels. My fave and usual is everything bagel extra toasted scooped out and scallion cream cheese. Their bagel is always made correctly the way I ordered it. The texture of their bagels are chewy which I love. Staff is super fast and friendly. Only thing I don’t like are the creepers that sit there or comes in; old creepers(major gross!).

Too many good places to come here. My friends and I got bagel sandwiches. No one was overally impressed. If you are starving and need something this will do but not worth the stop if you ask me.

To preface, I would give this place like a 3.5, but I rounded up because it is definitely closer to a 4 than a 3. This place has been around for years now, but I never really went in until a few days ago when I passed by on my way to work. The place is pretty small, and is definitely a little chaotic, because it’s always packed and there isn’t much leg room, but that’s not so bad because it definitely has more of a grab-n-go kind of setup. Bagel and cream cheese is $ 1.75, which is a good deal considering most other bagel places in the area charge $ 2.00 at least for a bagel half the size and quality. No bialys, but that would only be a problem for hipsters or people from Jewish areas because most quick bagel places don’t make bialys anymore. Their sandwiches are okay. Good size but definitely not the best in the area for the price, but the bagels are on point. My only problems with the place are that I don’t like the coffee, and I find the staff a little abrupt, even if it’s not too busy, but that doesn’t personally bother me so much so take that for what it’s worth. No credit or debit is accepted which is ridiculous, and this is an area where even ICECREAMTRUCKS are beginning to take cards. I understand that each sale barely breaks $ 5.00 and there are fees associated with taking cards, but c’mon, you’ve got a gold mine on your hands, take a friggin’ credit card.

I used to love coming here every morning. I even became the duke of this place. I loved the bagels here, I would order it with eggs, sometimes butter. one day before ordering my bagel. I saw a roach resting on everything bagel. my favorite bagel off all time. and another was crawling on the other bagels. I never had bagel for a month after that.

How come I’ve never associated bacon with cream cheese ever in my life? It’s always been cream cheese and lox but dang that cream cheese bacon bagel I had here is money. Wowzers.

Store proprietor has huge attitude problems! If you don’t know exactly what you want right away he screams at you and then gossips to the cook. The cellar door was opened while I was eating and the place smelled very, very foul. The kitchen reaked of old bacon grease and that wafted into the dining room. Also they put a bloody horror film on during breakfast. It’s so appetizing eating while watching someone get their guts ripped out.

Great bagel store! We live right here and there are lots of bagel store options but this is our go to store for breakfast. We get everything bagels and vegetable cream cheese and also bagels with egg bacon and cheese are great!

I ordered a bagel with locks and cream cheese. The bagel was overloaded with cream cheese and had very little salmon and no capers. They did not take cards so I had to use their ATM. So the already expensive bagel which cost $ 6 now cost me $ 9 after ATM fees. Don’t waste your time going here. There is a better bagel place on the corner of avenue x and McDonald ave.

This place is your typical bagel place, but not too much bagel selections, I haven’t even seen a bialy last time I was there. They make sandwiches which I haven’t tried and probably won’t. The recent experience is on their breakfast platter. Their chef is your typical guy with no experience. I have ordered Scrambled eggs with Sausage and home fries. What I got was an egg omelet(which I cut up myself later) and a thin meat patty(their version of «sausage»). Their home fries is ok, just don’t forget to tell them to add salt and pepper as it is tasteless without it. Overall, I would only visit this place for a bagel and coffee, they are cheap and they put plenty of cream cheese. But there are much better places in Brooklyn that make breakfast platters. Just visit Sheepshead bay.

This place let’s you add Coffee Mate French Vanilla for free! It’s this little touch that brightens up my mornings before work. At $ 1 coffee and $ 1.50 for croissants it’s affordable and a great spot to drop by for a quick breakfast.

I landed at JFK at 5:40AM. I immediately drove into Brooklyn to see my cute, old Grandmother. But much more important and interesting than that I had to stop and get a New York bagel which I missed so dearly after residing in the mid west for 5 years. Ha, I’m totally lying, I didn’t buy a bagel, I bought 2 dozen… cuz we don’t mess around with our bagels! I thought NY was the place that never sleeps but I honestly ended up here because it was one of the few places open at 6AM once I got off the freeway and headed to Kings Highway. This wasn’t some type of amazing place, but I got my bagels, and my complete lack of objectivity due to my being a complete idiot and moving out of NY5 years ago I was under the impression that these were the best bagels in the history of man. And even though I could have probably picked up some locally made specialty cream cheese I still opted for old faithful, Philadelphia Cream Cheese. Whoop, go Knicks!

This is the best sort of no-frills place to get iced coffee. No it is probably not fair trade but there’s something wonderful about walking in and grabbing a cup of ice from the cooler and pouring yourself some iced coffee and handing the cashier 2 bucks before running to catch the train.

So, this place replaced Village Bagels. I happened to like Village Bagels and it took a few months, but I like Bagels and Beyond. As the name goes, it is more than just a bagel. The prices are good, the food is better and they are open later than most bagel places.
