Would’ve gotten 5 stars, but for the price! Burgers start st $ 18??? Delivery on Seamless has a minimum of $ 35?! The food is really good, but save it as a «treat»!

Very family friendly and relaxing. The crab cakes were crispy outside and meaty and juicy inside. We had the magharita pizza and the vegetable pizza with prosciutto. The pizzas are grilled which adds a nice texture and smokiness. The veggie and prosciutto were a home run. You can’t go wrong with the sweetness and buttery texture of prosciutto on top of veggies with the perfect char. The magharita pizza was the only hiccup of the meal as it was a bit on the oily side. Service was very polite with no complaints.

The food here is great for park slope but each time you have different experience; I came here 3 times and each time I ordered the exact same dish(plain panini burger without cheese) and 3 times it came with cheese inside?! The whole experience of eating together is actually receiving your food together and not eating by yourself because 3 times you had to send back your order.

Stopped here while visiting friends in Brooklyn and absolutely loved this place. Staff is pleasant, ambiance is perfect for the neighborhood and food is superb. The Cubano Italiano is a must-try

I love this place! Have been many times for brunch, dinner, or drinks. I recommend the french toast as well as the prosciutto pizza. There’s a nice outdoor seating area, as well as a comfortable interior with classy décor. The staff is always warm and friendly, and I’ve yet to have a bad experience at all. I live in Crown Heights and make the trip over to Park Slope frequently for Bar Toto!

Still my favorite restaurant in Park Slope for any occasion. Good food and wine, excellent service, friendly staff. Love the polenta with Gorgonzola and wild mushrooms and the past in cream sauce with wild mushrooms.

The service was very good. Nice restaurant and what I ordered was good, I ordered the steak and eggs it was very flavorful. I’ve been here a handful of times and will come back again because it’s consistent and good. One complaint though was the music choice while dining. Music choice has nothing to do with the food or service but this is an Italian restaurant and Saturday May 15th at 2:00pm top 40 music was the dining music Usher, Justin Timberlake, Rihanna, Katy Perry great musical artists but there is a time and place for that music, not in an Italian restaurant on a Sunday afternoon.

Can’t beat the food(pizza, pasta) and they’re always serving until midnight. Their drink Toto Nero is reason enough to visit this spot. Love the folks there too!

Once a bar now converted to a nursery with booze. If you want to be an adult and go to and adult place don’t come here. Slow staff due to kids getting caught under their feet.

I’ve only ordered delivery from Toto but it wasn’t a great experience either time… Aside from the fact that the second time I ordered the exact same dish it came prepared completely different — there’s the issue that it was drowning in(a totally different) sauce to the point that it resembled soup. In addition, the pasta is WAY past al dente, and, after tax and delivery fee(!?) you’re looking at $ 22 for one pasta dish. Save yourself the money and frustration and make your own… This place is ridiculous for what you get. My Sicilian Grandma would spit twice on the ground before she fainted onto same. In summation: «Meh.»

This is probably one of the more complicated reviews I’ll write, but that is due to the inconsistency of Bar Toto itself. First, their Cubano Italiano sandwich could be the greatest sandwich in Brooklyn. Period. The flavor of the meat, the tenderness, combined with the crunchiness of the bread and tangy mayo, is a perfect combination. Where it goes downhill are some of the other menu choices and the service. My wife just had the spaghetti and meatballs. It had absolutely zero flavor. We jokingly called it cafeteria spags, but the reality is that my high school in ethnic Youngstown Ohio had a sauce that could win contests. Given the Italian-centric nature of Bar Toto, there is no excuse, even on a quiet Wednesday. Lastly, the Service. It benefits and suffers greatly from Brooklyn Hipsterness. Sometimes we get a Hipster who is a Foodie, and passionate about the experience his customers want. Then another night it’s a struggle to get water refilled or to possibly have someone ask how our meal is. They need management and better training. It gets 3 stars, but 2 ½ is more appropriate.

Great atmosphere. No tourists, ran into the NYC mayor while we were there. Bartender was top notch.

It’s all about the vibe. What would we do without this place in the neighborhood. What would we do without Val, the best waitress ever. What would we do without the prosciutto & arugula pizza? Well, I guess we’d go down the street to Mariella. .. but then we’d have to listen to their 1990s top 10 playlist.

Lovely atmosphere, mostly very good food, and wonderful staff, but the recent big price hike(pastas, burgers, etc., all up by something like $ 4) really affects the value for money consideration. Not sure how much we’ll be returning.

Really good place for brunch. My cousin got the panini and I the burger and fries. Geez, it was both tasty and large — we both couldn’t finish our meals. I think it’s quite affordable for the region, and the taste is great.

Just grabbed brunch here. Thoroughly enjoyed my eggs florentine which was served in a creamy parmesan sauce accompanied by polenta. The spinach was sautéed with onions and tasted light and flavorful. I often have trouble eating sautéed spinach because I think it can become soggy and chlorophyll-ish very easily. They also serve your meal with a side salad or fries, which is a pretty good value for ~$ 10 for a meal. I also shared a kale salad with ricotta, shallots, and a mustard-dijon vinaigrette. I appreciated the fact that the kale was shredded and the dressing was evenly distributed but not too heavy. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside, I enjoyed admiring the little flower boxes along the fence that surrounded the outdoor patio. The umbrellas were also helpful since it would have probably been a little uncomfortable to sit out there without being in the shade. The service was a little slow and we got our meals after some couples who had arrived later than us, but it didn’t matter to me since I wasn’t in any rush. Would recommend this spot if you happen to be strolling by. My tummy is quite pleased :)

Maybe a little on the expensive side for pizza/pasta, but it’s a good date night spot(provided you’re not around the families with kids or a patio seat near an area that smells like dog urine.)

Went with friends on a casual Saturday night. I had the veggie pizza and my friends had the spaghetti and meatball. The food was ok. Nothing great. My veggie pizza was ok. The toppings were tasty but the pizza crust needs some work. My 2 friends who had the spaghetti and meatballs said it was ok. The meatballs looked a little cold. The atmosphere was good as it was casual and relaxing. The service was very good.

Came here recently with a friend. We sat outside because it was a beautiful day. It didn’t look busy – when we sat down, there was only one other table of two next to us. I didn’t go inside but it seemed pretty empty as well. So it was surprising that service was terrible. Our waiter, although a super nice guy, was never around. When he was outside, he never looked our way so it was hard to get his attention without calling to him, which I had to do. At one point, I looked in and he was just talking with the bartender inside. When we finally asked for the check, he disappeared again only to return to see how we were doing – without the check. At least, he was attentive at the end. The food was okay. We shared a pepperoni pizza, which was good. The shrimp salad seemed a bit sad with too much salad and not enough shrimp. The lemon vinaigrette was good and went well with the salad. I ordered the Bacio, which I could have sworn was supposed to have alcohol in it. But it was just pineapple juice. I can’t see why people love this place so much. Maybe I went on an off day. Maybe the waiter was having an off day. But I think people overlook its flaws because of the location and convenience.

Sunday evening dinner consisted of a few salads, sides of meatballs and weird bread. My date had the Bar Toto salad, which surprisingly came with two whole chicken cutlets, which really looked good. I settled on a Kale/Fennel salad, which was delightful, if not a little too fennell-y. Side of meatballs was depressingly dry and sad. The sauce was mediocre(guys, even *I* can make a better sauce and I’m a Russian Jew). Also, I was expecting some delicious bread to come out and we just got a basket of grilled panini bread soaked in garlic oil. I mean… don’t get me wrong, anything soaked in oil is delicious, but it was soooo soaked, but I still ate 4 pieces lol Overall, I will say meh. I want to return for a lunch panini and beer and see if that’s the way to go. Promise to revisit this review. Service was slow but totally fine, the waitress was sweet. I wouldn’t run to this place.
