Let me start off by just saying, this is probably the best fried chicken place I have ever tried. They make the chicken as you order it, so it’s pretty much guaranteed fresh. It seems a lot less oily than places like KFC. I really enjoy the BB Wings and I order those pretty much as much as I can before I start killing myself with oily food. It seems that it’s not very popular, because of wait time, and the amount of competition around the area. If you haven’t tried it yet, I would definitely recommend it, and try the BB Wings, as long as you aren’t scared of a little spicy.

I’ve placed a party order of over 70 wings at BBQ Chicken. The first time I called the person didn’t understand English and I had to hang up. The second time I called back a young kid picked up and took my order. They refused to deliver to where I was, which was about 25 blocks away so I had to pick it up. The wings are okay. There are tons of different flavors though and my best are the garlic flavor wings. The other flavors were mediocre. I will come back though to try their olive oil chicken.

i would have never known about this place if it wasn’t for my godparents. if they opened this shop on avenue U, they’d be doing a lot better. unfortunately, i spotted a popeyes a block away about to open and given the price comparison, the residents around that area will most likely choose popeyes over bbq chicken. the chicken is good. i feel like i might have had better, but this will satisfy my korean chicken wing fix if i had the craving. they make everything to order, so expect a 15 min wait if you don’t call ahead. i will most likely have them deliver next time. i’ve only tried the bbq and a sweet/spicy wings, though i’ve heard the teri-wings are the best if you’re looking for bonchon. there are only 3 people working there, a young boy at the register, his mom(?) and his dad? i’m a sucker for small family owned businesses though the place is probably a franchise. either way, i hope this place stays open. better yet, i hope this place moves to ave u :)

I really wanted to give this place a 3.5 stars but since its not an option, I had to go for the 3. For a place in Brooklyn, especially that neighborhood, it’s pretty good. There’s a lot of flavor options. However, compared to Mad For Chicken or Bön Chon, it’s a lil ehh. I found that it was far greasier than said places.(at least its olive oil). But that being said, almost everyone in my family had the sh*ts the next day. Thus my rounding down to a 3.

The food here is quite good. Everything is made to order, they use what seems like really fresh and high quality ingredients. I would recommend their Cajun spiced chicken and olive chicken strips w/barbecue sauce. The things holding that last star back is the wait time and price but it is kind of justified in what/how they do it. Call in beforehand before picking up or just get it delivered. The people working there are really nice and efficient. Seats are limited and aren’t too comfortable but they are available for when you just want to sit there.

Their BB wings are amazing. Crispy and spicy. I like their wedge salad and grilled chicken. A bit pricey for Brooklyn though

Their color menu really did it for me. The cover had a plate of fried chicken and it looked so crispy, so delicious that I decided to order some of their chicken fried in olive oil. I ordered the family meal which comes with a whole fried chicken, 2 sides, and 4 biscuits. The price was $ 22.95 and I got a free side with that. Everything was delicious. The fried chicken had a a crispy peppery coating and wasn’t salty at all. The sweet-corn salad was very good, as was the classic mac & cheese. I really liked their waffle fries as well. My mouth is actually watering as I’m writing this review and it’s terrible because I have three chicken pieces left and I must refrain… What’s really neat is that I don’t have to settle for KFC which has greasy, very salty fried chicken. And this place delivers! Gonna try some of their other varieties next time. I think it’s very reasonably price. I’m not sure what the other reviewers are griping about since you can’t compare with other take-out foods which are less healthy.

I’ve been missing BBQ Chicken ever since the one on St. Mark’s Place in the city had been closed. I’m so glad there’s actually one in Brooklyn. Kudos to that! The place was small but kept quite clean. The menu was the same with the various chicken you can choose from. I ordered the Teri-Gold and Garlic wings along with a large order of the Col-Pop. It was around a 15 minute wait, like the person behind the counter had said.(I swear I could’ve heard a ringer in the kitchen — timed fryer). The Col-Pop was amazing. Fresh fried popcorn chicken with a lot less batter and more chicken meat! For $ 4.49, it’s a great deal for a snack which you can walk and munch on. The wings on the other hand was a bit of disappointment, they were extremely tiny but yet the flavor was amazing. I’ll probably skip the Garlic but Teri-Gold FTW! Note: If you have their number and you know what you want, I suggest calling ahead of time since it’s quite a wait.

Pretty good! We discovered this place on a whim one Sunday evening. For $ 27 we got a half-chicken BBQ with 3 sides(one free) and 4 biscuits. Not a bad deal. It was much healthier than any other fast food options. Everything was tasty. The sides were ok. Ive had better tasting mashed potatoes & mac n cheese at other places. The chicken was tender, love that they slice it in half. BBQ was tangy and sweet — just right. I wouldn’t say it’s the best BBQ I’ve tasted but I would definately add this place to my takeout repertoire. My only suggestion, if you want the food quickly, either call ahead or order first and then run some errands. The average wait for food was about 25 minutes. Good place would try it again.

skip this place over priced, over sweet, to call this barbecue is insulting to real barbecue kitchens, and I agree over cooked, I think its because they cook it in olive oil, the smoke point is so low you have to cook it forever there by drying it out, who wants a hard candy shell on a chicken wing, if I want sweet I’ll go get a pork bun, or an M&M, not worth the price, Not handicapped accessible, door won’t open wide enough to get wheelchair in, booo!

Great place! Teri wings are the best. We’ve tried different wings in the neighborhood, but these are most unique and delicious. The place itself is very clean, which is practically a rarity in Brooklyn. If you try it, trust me, you won’t regret it!

i now know why there are so few reviews for this place, and i know better now then to be trusting when theres so little reviews. after looking up bbq places, i had a great experience at bbq churrascaria on my birthday, and then today i had a craving for bbq again, and i thought i would try this place. now i admit i didnt try the teri gold wings, but i got 20 crispy gold wings, 10 garlic wings and 10 something else with a 2 liter coke. the wings were the driest, most flavorless wings i have ever tasted and the chipotle sauce tasted like mayonnaise or milk left out for too long. i shudder imagining why the other reviewer(the girl)‘s roommate had diarrhea. i am never ordering from this place again. too think i blew 40 $ and change on this place. one thing i do approve of is the service though, the korean guy at the counter was very helpful and gave me two orders of 4 piece chicken strips for free because i spent $ 40. still dry and tasteless. don’t go here. i give this a «eek! methinks not.»

I was beginning to get nervous thinking that I was their only form of income. I’ve noticed a lot of customers complaining about their price, but they’re really not all that expensive. You’re paying for quality chicken fried in olive oil, not lard or whatever those other places use. Anyway, about twice a month I get the 30 piece party pack of their wings and try to mix it up every time so I can try all their flavors. So far, I’m a big fan of their teri-gold and their sweet spice wings. my roomie loves the wings of fire, despite the fact that it’s so spicy it’ll give him ultra diarrhea for the rest of the night. Their sauceless hot wings are good but I’m a spice pussy so I don’t handle it too well. Crispy gold wings are also pretty good. I love the texture of the garlic wings, but its too much of a garlic flavoring for me. All in all, I LOVEBBQCHICKEN! Please keep coming so they will never have to close down =)

I have tried everything on the menu and became a regular. Don’t go for anything else but get their teri gold wings and carribean chicken! Carribean chicken tastes like jerk chicken and they’re very good as well. Other stuff on their menu such as Original Chicken and sweet spicy chicken aren’t as good compared to their teri gold wings(so don’t waste ur money). You can also call them and order in advance then later drop by the store to pick them up. Their teri gold chicken is THE Korean chicken(it tastes very much like kyochon and bonchon chicken). The server was very nice and the service was very fast as well. You can also eat inside but there aren’t many seats so just be aware. The restaurant is also very clean which is a major PLUS. If you feel bold, try their«col pop»(It’s pretty much coke on the bottom and a special tray on top of the cup to make room for popcorn chicken). You won’t find col pop anywhere else, you’ll see them only at BBQ Chicken stores in the states. Otherwise, you’ll have to buy a plane ticket all the way to korea in order to expeirence korea’s unique«chicken culture». They also sell cookies but, GOFOR the TERIGOLDWINGS. You’lll never regret it.
