It took me years to find a barbershop that I really like. From mom and pop places to Supercuts, my search went to the depths of existence, from the city to the suburbs. And then I found Benny’s. For the first time I started getting haircuts regularly, even looked forward to them. This place is laid back, the barbers are really good, work quickly, but don’t make you feel rushed. If there’s a line it goes quick. I remember reading a review of one of the barbers here where the reviewer said he paid so much attention to detail that he was like an artist. Yeah, I think that’s my guy. Or maybe it’s all the guys. Whatever, they rock. Great prices, great service. Moved from Brooklyn to Queens recently and after several attempts at new barbers, I’m making the trip back to Brooklyn because there’s no place like Benny’s.

Amazing neighborhood barber that does a great cut, for men and for kids! Our boys are now 2 and 4 and have been going here since their first cut. Jake, Oksana, Mike, and the team make the cut quick and fun for the boys.

By far the best barbershop I have ever been to. Jake is a true professional and master of his art. He’s a pro with the straight razor and knows what he’s doing. I’m glad to say that this barber shop is the one I go to. I’ve tried many other places but a lot of them are amateur compared to Jakes Babershop (Benny’s). There is never a long wait and they will never turn you away like other barbershops do.

I am on a never ending search for a great barber in brooklyn who can give me a tight skin fade and scissor cut the top of my thick indian hair. And boy am I glad I discovered this place. It is now my go-​to barber shop. I used to be picky and wait on the barber I went to last time but lately, I’ve been trying all of them out and guess what. They all know what they’re doing. Great cuts.

Oksana gave me an amazing haircut. Awesome wash, super friendly, very sweet, even had a shot for the first time while getting a haircut, can’t go wrong coming here and its a great price for a good NYC haircut!
To note I had intended to go to rapunzel rapunzel across the street here but they were closed and I am happy because of it! Otherwise I would not have come here!

This place is great! I’m a barber myself that works in the city, but I like to go to other places on the weekend and get the experience of being a customer. I got a great haircut from a sweet woman named Ocssana (I probably spelled that wrong). While I was there, I noticed that every other barber was clearly confident in their skills and they were doing great cuts! This was my first time at Benny’s, and I will definitely be back!

Jake is a barber master specializing in skin fades and all different types of styles. I love this place. 5Star fade in Brooklyn. Better then all the rest. The hot towel at the end is a nice touch.

Always a nice cut from Benny’s. Mike does an especially nice job. At $ 16 for a men’s cut, even with a $ 5 tip it’s the most affordable and best cut you’re gonna find in the area.
Walk-​ins very welcome. There’s always a seat open.

Best barber shop I’ve found in the area. Both Jake and his brother give good cuts. I assume the other barbers are skilled, too. Friendly and hospitable, great prices, good tv and magazines keep you entertained while you wait.

I’ve been going here for about 3 years and found this shop on Unilocal.
The quality of the cuts here is top notch. My favorite part is the neighborhood feel of the shop, while maintaining professional quality cuts. They use a straight edge, and pay close attention to detail. Jake is an artist, but also went to a couple of other barbers there and the quality is just as high.
I recently moved to the West Village and paid DOUBLE for a place that used battery operated clippers and didn’t even use a straight edge. The 30 minute commute to Benny’s is worth every penny.
