Great little store. I popped in one day in a browse-only mode, but tucked it away in the back of my mind that they sold Downright pillows, which are made in Brooklyn. Today I dragged my husband back to investigate further, and the staff was so helpful. The lovely woman working the front desk helped us pick the right pillows based on how we sleep, and even offered to have someone deliver one from their Court Street branch when they were short one of the kind we wanted(although they ended up finding us an extra in storage). They have an excellent selection of candles including Voluspa, Nest, and Votiva, all of which smell awesome without that gross cloying scent that so many candles have, AND are made in the USA. I grabbed a bathmat while we were there and when I got home I noticed that it was manufactured domestically as well(the brand is Mohawk Home). Admittedly I didn’t look at every label, but it seems like they have a tendency toward selling high-quality items that are made in the US or other countries with stricter labor laws. By the time we went to check out we were so loaded down with pillows, candles, and bath stuff that they threw in an extra Voluspa candle AND a bar of French soap, which they let us pick out. Score! If you need bedding, blankets, plates/mugs/glasses, pillows, candles, or bathroom accessories, this is your spot. Sure, it’s pricier than Target, but if you can afford to live in or around Park Slope then you can afford to spend a little more on domestically made products sold by a local business. Plus it’s WAY more pleasant.

A bright, vibrant, and awesome new store that I get to review first? Oh hell yeah!!! For this first review I have to state I did not buy anything at all. It was pretty much to see what they sold and if I was even going to have the faintest interest in it. Will let’s us say I know what to get my co workers for Christmas hahaha. Just like I said at the start this is a very bright and vibrant store. I don’t know the Carroll area and what that store is like but this place even with it’s park slope square footage makes it POP. The square footage may suck – i bet they pay hell of a price for the rent though – they have some real good essentials for everyone. They have what I think are quilts from India(may have been called something else), soap from france, sake set, towels from turkey, pillows, very good candles and quite a variety, and many more things to come. The whole store as you walk in smell so good and feel so soothing to be in(Yes a guy said it lol). It is overall an welcoming area. Most of the materials and what normal prices for park slope would be in my opinion. I think the lowest thing for the smallest size is $ 7-$ 9 while the highest thing is $ 30-$ 40. To me it is sort of affordable, but I’m a broke college kid lol, that is why I wish there was a deal on it lol. But I would definitely buy store of those this to test it out. The people I met, sorry I didn’t get the name, were so nice themselves. They were not impatient with my questions and they were friendly about explaining everything. The owner, or i think he was, was setting up Unilocal account for this store while I signed in lol. He was a cool dude for sure. The lady was great also, and even introduced something to me that I think I want to purchase. They are definitely going to do well. Just have to fight the competition. Check it out people or you might regret it!
