So glad they closed. Worst Restruant/café in Brooklyn. And the staff to suit. So happy it’s closed. You sucked. Food, service, environment. Good riddance.

Great little find after getting off the subway! Very reasonable pricing, good quality, and the most welcoming customer service I’ve had in NY

After reading the reviews about this place I still took a chance and ordered delivery from here. It took 2HOURS for me and my boyfriend to get our food from a place that is a 4 min drive away. We ordered 3 wraps Santa Fe, Shrimp Caesar(which the cheese was all melted and gross) and Bayou. Two smoothies my smoothie was GROSS tasted like ice and strawberries I also ordered 2 slices of cake which I was called & told that they didn’t have anymore and they instead sent over 4 tiny bite size literally hard cinnamon buns I would never order from here again food wasn’t worth the wait ATALL. And from the looks of these reviews doesn’t look like they will be in business long if they keep this bad service up !

Service was very friendly and recommended the spicy jerk chicken wrap, with fair warning that this was a really spicy selection. Had to wait 15 minutes for the wrap when there was only one other person here. I was surprised to see how big the portion was when it came out, but to my dismay, could foresee that my first bite would result in the innards of my wrap to fall everywhere on the plate. Such a pet peeve when sandwiches aren’t wrapped well! Asked for a fork, so I was able to eat the wrap-turned-salad. The wrap was flavorful. The chicken was seasoned well and not dry, the peppers were slightly sweet… overall solid flavors. My only disappointment was that it wasn’t spicy at all! Very underwhelming amount of heat. However, service was so friendly that I’ll probably return, seeing as a cute café like this is not the easiest find in this part of town.

Disappointed for the most part. 90 minute wait for a salad that was unimpressive in quality and just lackluster. If you put it next to a pre-made supermarket salad you wouldn’t be able to tell them apart. Although, I don’t even think a supermarket would make the poor choice in putting BABY Shrimp in their salad. When someone orders a shrimp salad it’s because they want real shrimp not baby shrimp you usually only find in chinese food house lo mein. Can’t believe just paid $ 19 for this. Had to get two mini cinnamon rolls for $ 1 each to make the order minimum. Thought it would be a nice treat except they were dry. This would be a one star review but fair is fair. Their side order of chicken salad for $ 3.50 saved the meal. Right price, perfect portion and was actually really tasty. Overall not worth the wait or money.

Like someone else on here i wish i looked at the reviews also before ordering also wish i could give zero stars. absolutely awful! took 2.5 hour for food to come. then my order was wrong and the food looked disgusting and un-appetizing. The side garden salad had no dressing and the lettuce was brown around the edges. The wrap was sloppy and the tofu looked like it was just right out of the package and the end of the lettuce head was in it. Finally just had to demand my money back. They even took back the food which i found HORRIFYING. DONOTORDER!!! the delivery guy Duane was nice though.

I absolutely loved this place. Lots of healthy food options, including vegetarian options. There are baked goods, bagels, s sandwiches, wraps, paninis, coffee/tea beverages, as well as smoothies. My first stop here was on a Friday afternoon and my SIL and I had lunch on the outdoor patio on the back. The Cajun shrimp sandwich I had was good, but pretty spicy. My iced Toasted Almond Mocha latte was delicious. My SIL had a pesto chicken sandwich that was also very good. She told me she usually comes in for green smoothies on her way to work. I stopped in the same day a few hours later for a smoothie. My last time was our last day in NYC and I picked up another iced latte, for old times’ sake. I just really like this place and wished there was a café nearby for me to enjoy this weekly. Oddly enough, they are closed on Tuesdays and they don’t open until 9 am weekdays.

I always order takeout from Bloom. The food is always pretty good, although their sandwiches usually fall apart in my hand. I like the healthier options here, especially the juices. Takeout usually takes at least an hour and a half(I live a block away) but the delivery guys are always friendly.

Some sense in the middle of madness. This place is a tasty oasis of healthy treasures. The staff is friendly and efficient. HUGE selection and moderately priced. Also, they have open mic and allow artists to display and sell their art work. I just happened to walk by and WOW, I was so pleasantly surprised. Wish I lived in that hood JUST to frequent this place. Hoboken needs a Bloom Café. LOVEIT!

Love the wraps, have tried a few now, and the staff is really sweet as well. Plenty of places including a small back patio to eat, and free wifi. Missing a star for slow service, I have learned not to come here in a hurry, oh and the baked goods, those are pretty disappointing.

I love this little café, from the back patio to the clean bathrooms I find it pleasant and quite homey. The staff is very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. I find the menu to be a bit short on options but the items they have are quite tasty. The coffee is very good and the selection of fresh juices is delicious. Overall I enjoy this place and the fact that they display local art on their walls makes it even more appealing and interesting to me.

UPDATE: 9÷21÷2013 I used to really like this place. So sad to say that now I don’t. I have complaints. 1. They ALWAYS open at 9am including weekends. Other places that are really close by open at 7am including weekends… People are at work already at 9am. How does a «café» want to make business opening up this late? 2. Seriously, the pastries are awful. Always old tasting. I don’t know where they get their pastries but they are really not good, not fresh at all. 3. The café is always empty. You will see a few people there sometimes. That to me, is a sign. And not a good sign. Now to be fair, I’ve had their soy cappuccinos there and I have it say they are good. Not the best, just good. I have had food there maybe twice: sandwiches and soup. They were good. Now, the reason I updated my review is in hopes that the owners would read it and maybe change up a few things. Bushwick has opened many places with great coffees, breakfast sandwiches, salads, juices and smoothies. Maybe the reason that Café Bloom has been empty is because everyone has went elsewhere…

This place makes me so happy. They have a GREAT selection of juices. Very interesting ones. Also, their sandwiches are super delicious. I loved the staff when I was there. Our waitress was incredibly nice and let us have free samples of various salads. Loved her. Also, must try– purple potato salad. You won’t regret it.

I only had an iced coffee, which was pretty good. So why a 3? Well just looking at the menu I wasn’t that impressed. So its more like a 3.5. There were a few vegan options, some of which I am sure I could have requested to be altered, but nothing special. I think for bushwick its probably a nice addition to the community: fresh juices, smoothies and coffee! They have free wifi. The space is café styled with some bar seatings, so you can totally grab a seat, charge your phone or work on your laptop. The train rolling by can be kinda loud, but hey its broadway.

This place is a joke. I placed an order via grubhub for a «do it yourself wrap». Chicken salad with avocado on a multi grain wrap. And for an extra two bucks and change, I also got a soda and chips with it. Nothing complicated. Somehow it took over an hour to get here. Taking a bite of my wrap, I notice there are cranberries in the chicken salad. I’m not sure if cranberries in chicken salad is something that is common, but being allergic to them, I was somewhat annoyed that nowhere on their online menu does it specify that their chicken salad had cranberries in it. I called the café, let them know of my issue, and they said the delivery person would be coming back to pick up the wrap and give me my money back(they didn’t even bother to ask me if I wanted to exchange it for something else, WTF?). An hour and fifteen minutes go by. No sign of a delivery person. Judging by how long it took for my wrap to get here, I figured it would take them an eternity again. My phone rings, and it’s the person who delivered my wrap. She proceeds to tell me that she would like to give me a credit instead of coming to get my wrap, because they are closing in an hour, and she didn’t have time to walk back to me(walk? Again, WTF??). Anyway, end of the story is, I had to go pick up my money(which they refused to refund a 100%, they only wanted to reimburse me for the wrap, even though I brought back everything delivered to me) and drop off the food. I won’t ever be ordering from here again. But for the ones who do, for your sake I hope this place gets their shit together and a bike or some sort of transportation for their delivery person.

I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt and visited five times before writing a review. Every visit earned it zero stars in my book. The staff is always friendly, sure, but I’d settle for less friendly if they were even mildly competent. I have never been more convinced that the staff is responsible for every review of this place that gave it 3 stars or greater. Two examples of my experiences: One time I asked for a bagel toasted and the girl working there didn’t know how to use the toaster. She burned three bagels before successfully toasting one. She thought it was hilarious. Today I wanted a juice and there were over 10 people in line at Mr. Kiwi. So I went to Bloom, where there was no line whatsoever. The employee working did not know how to operate the juicer and it took 20 minutes for me to get my order. What annoys me most is how much these people think they’re contributing to the neighborhood with their«we heart vegans» crap. There are other, better places nearby that fill this niche and do it in a much less self-satisfied way. I hope this place goes out of business soon to make way for a company willing to put in a little more effort into the quality of their business.

I dig this café. Its smack dab in the hood which is a plus because I don’t have to travel across the world for a cute lil spot. I admit its pretty random for the area but nothing in Brooklyn surprises me anymore. Anywhoo I had a bagel w/vegan butter and the ‘fulton’ smoothie it was delicious! First off the staff was extremely sweet and they wait customers who stay in. Its really chill, the music is dope, and overall a simple to-the-point place to sit, chat, or work on your laptop. Oh yeah, and my smoothie was only $ 4 for a large, sweet! I admit they could be a little more creative with the décor but otherwise no complaints. Nom Nom!

I really want to like this place, but I’ve had two middling-to-bad experiences there now. The staff are very friendly and both the décor and vibe are nice. Their oatmeal is excellent. But the first time I went, the croissant I ordered was noticeably stale(and not a terribly good one to begin with). The most recent time, my iced coffee and my friend’s iced coffee were both strangely bitter. So bitter, in fact, that we threw them away after we left the café and went to Dunkin Donuts instead. I hope they improve.

This is the café I’ve dreamed about. Great music(pop/hip-hop), friendly people, vegan and vegetarian food, organic juices and teas, reasonable prices, free wifi, an outdoor patio and grill, and no hipsters in sight. Shhhhh! Don’t let them find out! I love Bloom Café already.
