I just came here for drink. It was cozy and Brooklyn style. The music was little loud, but service was good. I will try food next time. We’ve been to Saturday night around 7 not so many costumer.

Great staff, service, and specials! The food is awesome too. My favorite spot in Bushwick for the last 2 years, I will continue to practically live here

This place absolutely rocks… So there are many cool bars and restaurants and cafes in Bushwick now, yes. But this place stands out way above the rest because it is genuine and you don’t feel like you are a customer even — it’s a a real personal connection instead. I saw a girl sitting there alone and it just felt right… «Come as you are» like Curt Kobain once said! On a serious note Ery is one of the best there ever was and he runs a stellar operation! He is kind, gracious and hospitable in a way that you cannot compare. I highly recommend the fixer and the steak sandwich Out of all the great places in Brooklyn and New York this is amongst my top 5 for sure! If I could give them 10 stars I would See you soon SKYTOWN!

Pros: Great tacos! Good beer! Decent place. Cons: Loud music, slow service and not the best cocktails menu. May 13 Delicious taco!!! 5 stars Weird waitress in red t shirt(the old guy was much better) A bartender(black lady in glasses) gave me a shot of whiskey for my first check in– it was just a mix of water and whiskey. The crapiest shot I’ve ever had. I told my waiter about it and the answer I get: it can’t be. It was normal whiskey. All right. I’ll come here maybe 1 more time to double check, and I hope I won’t change my Friday night routine and will continue to come here since I live 1 block away.

After a small gathering in the city and with the spontanaety-inducing buzz of a couple bourbons in our systems, my lady and I decided to hop off the M three(3) stops early after catching some solid Unilocal reviews of Skytown last-minute(gotta love an above-ground train – I’m a fiend for that LTE). We walked in and instantly felt the vibe. Dimly lit, with neon signs and a large chalkboard proclaiming the beers on draft and specialty cocktails. A Sav B(sic) for her; an IPA for me. Food-wise, I was dead-set on a burger with bacon. She tried to play coy and mused about a panini, but we knew where her heart was; where it always is. Burger with bacon for her, too. Generous patties – ten ounces, maybe? – loaded with toppings, thick-cut bacon, and nice buns(Brioche? Sure.). Cape Cod chips for me on the side, while she went with a nice salad. And ended up stealing half my chips. Thanks bby. Great watering hole and straightforward, top-notch bar fare. Mentally filing this one away. P. S. They played excellent music – I believe I even caught one Miami Nights 1984 song, which won’t matter to anyone who reads this and thus makes it all-the-more spectacular.

Just moved to the neighborhood, and wanted to check out this place. Was not disappointed! Both my friend and I ordered the salmon fillet, which was incredible. There was only one bartender on staff who was going all the table service as well, so service took longer than normal, but she did a great job. Will definitely be back, glad that this is in my hood!

Good Service. Brunch was very good. Went in only for brunch on a Sunday and spent the whole day there. Very friendly atmosphere.

My second time at Skybar and I must say the service was great once again. I just wish there were more items to select off of the brunch menu. The first time I ordered myself an omelet. Although the menu lists just regular eggs they were very accommodating to my preference of just egg whites. This go round I ordered the fried chicken and waffles topped with bananas and a syrup. Not bad for your typical chicken and waffles combination.

I love this place. I have been living in the area for 3+ years and ever since I moved here this place has been the go to bar/coffeehouse. The owner is super nice and I love the casual yet good vibes of this place. Anyone new to the area should definitely check it out.

There’s plenty of places to have a great brunch in Bushwick but if you want great service, fun drinks and engaging bartenders– Skytown is your place! Bloody Marys are to die for after a long weekend :)

I’ve been here a few times because it’s so close to my apartment. Decently priced drinks and dive bar atmosphere. I haven’t had a chance to check out the food, but have heard good things. In my times there, I haven’t had the best service. Bartender seemed irritates and it was difficult to get his attention to order a drink although the place hasn’t been crowded when i’ve come out.

Quick and friendly service. Festive atmosphere. Relatively affordable. Handful of customers here on a Thursday evening. Most entrees were about $ 10-$ 12. Draft beer for $ 6-ish. Wine was expensive. Never understood the crazy markup on wine($ 9÷10÷11 a glass?) Guess the restaurant science says to keep wine prices high, but eh, I’ll go grab a few bottles down the street. Everything was well cooked. Dinner for two with tax and tip came out to $ 45. I’d go back.

Skytown is my absolute favourite way to start the weekend in Bushwick. The menu is great, and the vibe is so on point here. Sit at the bar, enjoy a michelada, Bloody Mary or mimosa with your brunch. The staff are super friendly and have great taste in music — 90s RnB one minute and Beatles the next. Plenty of laughs, good food and music. Couldn’t ask for more. Was I a few micheladas down when I wrote this? Yessir.

The straightforward menu and hip ambiance draws neighborhood people in. The prices are fair and makes it an everyday go to place for coffee, drinks and comfort food. The staff were courteous enough to tell us that they were having stove problems and the dishes available were cut to bare minimum. I had the butternut squash soup. It was thick, decadent and really tasty. I will not forget that soup, it was filling and well spiced. The cinammon and nutmeg were well balanced; I can say because butternut squash is my favorite soup.

Mimosas and lots o’ food if you’re in need of a fulfilling brunch in Bushwick on a slow weekend. Also, it remains open until 2 a.m., so it could be a fine complement to a night out, I guess. Service is good, and the place has a strong hipster vibe(well, you’re in Bushwick after all!).

Olé, trusty Skytown. A neighborhood bar that carefully straddles the no-man’s land between gentry, hipster and dive. The patrons are the most down to earth of any bar in the area, and I find myself regularly meeting and talking to people here. I should add that this place doubles as my dining area, as I don’t have a kitchen at home at the moment. The bartenders, at least the ones that are here right now, are friendly and even more so if you are a regular, so spend a second to chit chat with them and remember their names. You’ll see some of the same faces coming to sit at a stool, but there are a lot of people just stopping in. Especially since there is a music venue across the street. There are no parents who bring kids here, no dogs here, and the crowd is VERY mixed in terms of age and culture. Food-wise, the menu is slim but consistent, and changes every few months. Right now I wholeheartedly recommend the steak sandwich, the tacos, and the burger(ask for an egg on it!) There’s the usual IPA-centric beer menu on tap, but a few other options too, and a selection of cocktails some of which were invented by the staff. Music-wise, *usually* it’s rock /metal /punk, but sometimes(unfortunately) it can take a 70’s /discoey vibe, and even more unfortunately, though this is getting more rare, there’s a hip hop beat(like every other bar seemingly). It depends on the time of night and which bartender is there at the time. But I’ll stick around even if generic hip hop is playing. Yes, I go there that often.

I ordered a draft beer, i random picked it because nothing was familiar from the beer menu but it was way too bitter and not good at all, so i asked the bartender(a white dude bartender who shaved side hair and had tattoos) if i can switch to some other kind beer. he was very annoyed and charged me more $. me and my friends were chatting, but music was way too loud, also they were playing hard music, i asked for the bartender to turn the music little DOWN, and he turn the music UP. literally the opposite. me and my friend ordered food, it was not that special. little pricy for the quality. bottom of the line, that bartender’s BADBADBAD service ruined my time with friends also waste of my money.

Ok food in the area. The food is good, but it didn’t satisfy cravings. Although I was very full, I wasn’t satiated. I had the brisket with kale and the Brussel sprouts and kale salad. The salad was very simple. Nothing special. The best part about the meal was the kale in the brisket, which was cooked well. Service was very slow.

I love this place! The bartenders are all nice when I’ve gone. It can get crowded on weekends but it’s ok if you can find a seat at the bar. Cheap drinks. Had brunch one time. Meh. The sandwich was unique sounding, but the chicken was dry, and the bread was overdone.
