Such an amazing fresh burger with very friendly staff. What more can you ask for?

Someone on here claimed that Blue Collar is better than Shake Shack. And I back her up 100%. I ordered the cheeseburger with fries. I wish I had ordered the double because it was that effin’ good. You get A LOT of fries and that is also good. All is good.

The food was delicious. A simple menu but you didn’t need anything beyond the amazing burgers and shakes. The fries were also really good which is easy to forget amidst the rest of the food. It is a small place but we had no problem finding a seat. The posters on the wall were funny and added to the charmingly hipster diner feel.

I get the intent, however, the price and the long wait are not worth it. Unfortunately, I will not be going back. The food is good, but the extremely long wait on a day that is not busy makes it impossible to enjoy the food.

Better than shake shack! My friends and I love this place! It’s too bad we are right outside the delivery range because we would order all the time!!! Love this place.

The best burger around the S. Williamsburg area that is better than your typical fast food burger but not as gourmet as say the Spotted Pig. It resembles Shake Shack, and I always get a cheeseburger and fries on the weekend when I feel a bit hungover ha… their fries taste like Mcdonalds fries but better. I will always be a fan of Blue Collar as long as I live in the area. Was at a friends place on the North Side and was disappointed that it was out of their delivery area for Seamless, but we called and they made an exception an delivered: D Of course when you get a burger and fries for delivery, it gets a little soggy, doesn’t taste as great, and the delivery time isn’t the fastest… but hey that’s understandable. Oh writing this review is making me crave Blue Collar… GO!

As a displaced San Franciscan, I get In N Out cravings every now and again, but I have to say, these people know what they’re doing. The food is legit, the people are sweet, and my cravings are satisfied. Also, the chili cheese fries are amazing.

Great burger for your buck! The fries were crispy, super fresh, and there were tons of them — could easily share an order with two or three friends. The service was fast and friendly. Was told the peanut butter shake was the best thing on the menu. Never had the chance to try it. Next time.

2.5 stars. Pros: The fries are crispy and delicious, so is the chili. Food is fresh. The vibe, service, benches, song selection, and reasonable cost make you feel good. It all captures what you might imagine a down home, south highway raw burger joint would feel like. Cons: The beef. It’s dripping in fat to the point you feel sick. Are they using unusually cheap beef, or adding extra fat as an already fatty burger is cooking? Burgers at all other places I’ve had them, are not dripping in fat like they are here. If I go back, it’ll be when they improve the leanness of their burgers.

DELIVERYREVIEW: I will begin by writing that Blue Collar does one of the better burgers in the city. That being said, their delivery service embarrassingly bad. Last night I ordered 2 cheese burgers, 2 cheese fries, and 2 milk shakes. A $ 2 delivery fee and 1h30m later, I received smushed burgers, soggy cold blocks of what were once cheese fries, and two completely melted, half filled shakes. A few small changes could fix the problem they have with delivery: 1) Actually give a crap about delivery service. Care about your customers and realize you’re charging someone $ 2 for what better restaurants do for free. 2) Pack the food properly — cold milkshakes shoulnd’t be backed with hot burgers and fries. 3) Transport food in insulated bags.

Food was fresh and cooked to order so it took a while, but that trade off was better than dried out pre-cooked food. I had chili cheese fries and chili cheese dog. Their ice machine doesn’t work so hopefully that gets fixed soon.

I have no real issues with the food. My past two times ordering using a delivery service has lowered my respect for this restaurant. While you can get pretty tasty eats here, consider only going in person. To go with delivery costs you an additional delivery fee, and my past two experiences have yielded a wait of over two hours. I’d suggest that the staff just never fired the order. One time I was willing to forgive, two is the beginning of a pattern. I called the restaurant both times and was given what appears to be a «go to» answer, «oh it’s on the way.» The truth was it wasn’t. This last time I called the delivery service, whom also called the restaurant, and the result confirmed my suspicion; the order, after two hours, was never fired. Again, the food is good food. The only way I’d eat from here again is to physically go here, which is just on the border of convenient/inconvenient. I just simply believe that food quality isn’t enough to get by. If a restaurant offers delivery, through whatever service, it was by their choice. Delivery is not a second rate option. Delivery orders should not be treated with any less urgency than a walk up. Losing an order, via a digitized service is largely inexcusable. Forgetting about it is inexcusable. The first time it happens, should be treated with some leniency by the orderer, which it was. But it happened again.

I love this place. I recently moved from LA and have been missing In & Out. Shake Shack was not the same. My boyfriend stumbled upon this place on Unilocal and tried it out. He then dragged me there the next day to try it. He told me it was the closest to In & Out. And he was right. The burgers are delicious. The side of fries is huge, 2 ppl can totally split it. And they have fountain drinks you can refill yourself. The guys working are always super friendly too. This place helps ease the longing for In & Out.

I’m a huge Shake Shack fan, so when my friend recommended this place with«thin patty/potato bun and fresh lettuce burgers», I had to check it out. The place is nice and the food was pretty good. The fries came in large portions and were delicious. The burgers(single cheeseburgers) were good, although a bit dry to my taste. But the reason why I’m not putting a higher note is because of the girl who was running the place last night. It was 6:30, the place was empty. She was on her phone the whole time, could not have acted more annoyed to take our orders, was blasting some emo rock music, and did not even replied to our«thanks and have a good night» when we left. She could not have been more rude if she tried. She clearly hates her job/life and left us really bummed out…

Blue Collar is awesome. The fries are deliciously crispy and perfectly seasoned. A small is definitely enough for two! Solid burger, with a griddle-pressed patty, fresh toppings, and secret sauce(yesss!) between two pillowly-soft buns. Also, super chill vibe, friendly service, and free refills on soda(woo~).

I don’t know how it has taken me this long to come about writing a review for Blue Collar, but I guess now is a good of a time as any. And if anyone is qualified to review this joint it would be me — I have probably eaten here 50 times over the last year and a half. Hell, I even had them cater a party of mine. So let’s get this straight — Blue Collar has the best goddamn chicken fingers I have ever eaten in my life. I have brought dozens of people here and we have all come to the same conclusion. I do not know what is it about them, but they are perfect in every way. Heavily breaded spears of practically molten white meat chicken are fried to a golden brown and served with a vat of 1000 Island. One small caveat is sometimes they run out of the good stuff, and you end up with some random thin fingers of disappointment. I usually ask if they had the good ones in, if not I go with a burger. So, the burgers. I think they compare best with a high end fast food burger like shake shack. They are smallish, and come on a fresh bun with veggies and a special sauce. Are they the best I have ever had? No. Are the still amazing and easy to get to with no line, bullshit or breaking the bank? You betcha. Frankly I like mine without cheese, as you can taste the beef and the quality ingredients better. Miles ahead any McD’s BK or whatever burger you might get elsewhere. They also make a passable veggie burger that is worth trying even if you consume flesh. Oh yeah, and they make a pretty good hotdog, and great milkshakes that stick to your ribs and you can put booze in. Do I need to say more on that? No, no I don’t. To round it out it is easily accessible, they deliver, they fucking CATER, the people there rock and they sell beer. Go there now.

I had high expectations for this place after a fellow Unilocaler referred me to one of the best burgers on this side of the east river. The burger itself is definitely better than Shake Shack. The fries were average and were either soggy. We ordered 2 of their trademark double cheeseburgers and they were great. Why 3 stars? The service was horrible. Our order was served to another table. When the customer brought the tray up to the counter is when it caught our eye. I asked if that was our order of 2 double cheese. Yup. So after it was served to another table and a few fries missing, the waitress made no apologies and no offer of fresh fries or to replace our order. The waitress had a dazed look the entire time and was difficult to engage in conversation or to ask questions about the food. We still tipped well. Our recommendation would be to take the food to go next time. Overall stars 3. Please see attached pics.
